It's worth it if you're not trying to spend alot but what quality. It's not strong enough to be a main streeing servo. Sw-1212sg savox is what I'm using to stree if anyone was curious. But this spektrum does diffs and transmissions perfect would buy another if I ever need to.

Spektrum S614 to buy or not to buy ?

I have the Axial RC Truck 1/10 Capra 1.9 4WS Unlimited Trail Buggy RTR front and rear steer all stock for about 4 months now and have had to replace the stock steering servo Spektrum S614 three times so for so i opened up the latest one after it quit working to find that the main gear is like a soft brass and strips out so i keep replacing with the same, not sure what to do next to prevent this? it seems like the Spektrum S614 is just to light weight?

Lesser known brands have cheaper offerings with higher torque, metal gears, and they are hella faster. Piece of junk.

Poor design - never fits right

This servo moves and does everything you would expect, slower than other options, so you pay for the brand instead of performance. My problem starts with the spline, it is not 25 teeth, so many servo horns won't fit, the geometry it is just big enough where it looks like it will fit, but there is always some problem where I need to remove it and use something else. It has been over 1 year, maybe even 2 years since I bought this and I haven't found a single use for it. I can't even use it for my Semi truck to unlatch the 5th wheel because (you guessed it) it just does not fit by a small fraction.

Do NOT BUY THIS SERVO

Junk junk junk. If you get 1 pack out of this junk servo you will be lucky. You will not get more than 3 runs on it I promise

great on my ECX Temper 2

came in pretty fast, like 2 days early. so far it works great, is slightly bigger than my old servo (spektrum s603) but didn’t cause any problems.
