Speedo Unisex-Child Swim Flotation Classic Life Vest - Good Quality with Room for Improvement

I recently purchased the Speedo Unisex-Child Swim Flotation Classic Life Vest from Amazon, and I am generally happy with the quality of the product. The vest provides excellent flotation and is perfect for kids who are learning to swim. The UPF 50 feature is also a great addition for sun protection. However, I have noticed that the quality of this latest version is not as good as previous versions. The material feels thinner and less durable, and the fit is not as snug as before. While the product still serves its purpose, I hope that Speedo will improve the quality in future versions. Despite this, I would still recommend this life vest to parents looking for a reliable and affordable option for their children to stay safe in the water.

Love that things aren’t getting scratched as she leans over our fiberglass spillway in the pool. She has great floatation, balance and confidence.

Ocean safety for littles

Used these for my 6 & 7 year old girls who are capable pool swimmers while in the ocean and playing near the surf. This allowed them full range of motion for competent swimmers. Only negative was arm pit rubbing and discomfort which is resolved by a rashguard.

Safe and comfortable to keep on

Got this for my 3.5 year old (41" tall, 32lbs). It fits comfortably, and she's fine wearing it around the pool. My only complaint is the strap between the legs rides up between her butt, and is a bit irritating for her. I'm always pulling it out of her crack and around the side of her butt cheek, but it doesn't last. I wish it had a soft wider pad, so it didn't give her a wedgie so easily. Once she's a little bigger and a bit more water-safe, we'll probably go without the strap, but it also prevents it from riding up around her face. Other than the constant wedgie, I like the mobility she has with her arms. Doesn't seem to rub or irritate at any other place. Fairly soft and flexible fabric.

This is a perfect step up from a puddle jumper

My son was done with a puddle jumper. They were too snug and uncomfortable and he refused to use his arms. We got a vest that should have fit and it was way too big. This one is perfect! I was so jazzed. He had something to keep him safe and we are able to show him how to use his arms. It’s a work in progress, but it’s given him confidence and an idea of how fun it will be once he’s learned to swim. It’s worth noting that my son is six and, like me at 38, doesn’t fit into a size range. Never has. I’d say that if you have more of a “solid” kid who’s smaller for their age but out of a puddle jumper, this is the way to go. He loves it and I feel comfortable with him in it. Now, it will chafe him after a while so pay attention when you take it off because Aquaphor (I know that’s misspelled) is great for a barrier cream when you notice it. It happens and I don’t think it’s a design flaw. It depends on how hard we play.

Best swim device I’ve ever purchased for my daughter

My daughter outgrew her puddle jumpers floatie. We go to a community pool a few days each week during the summer and this one hold up well with rough use. I wanted something that would allow my daughter to learn to be more independent swimming. I think this swim aid is so much more helpful than the foam float boards that strap around the waist and go on the child’s back. My daughter says it feels light when she’s swimming and has full range of motion and allows her to swim on her back. It doesn’t budge up around her neck when she jumps in on the diving board or on the water slide.

Definitivamente no es original

Mi niña cambio de talla y opte por esta opción reemplazando el Speedo anterior, es diferente el "neopreno" y las esponjas al momento de estar en el agua se deformaba horrible el chaleco, si flota la niña y en xcaret me dejaron pasar con ese chaleco por lo confiable de la marca obviamente firmando una responsiva pero definitivamente la hacía flotar pero estaba demasiado incómodo el chaleco, se rozo de las axilas cosa que con el original no le pasaba, repito cumple la función de hacer flotar pero no es la calidad Speedo y no es original

LIGERO Y ERGONÓMICO

No me lo imaginaba tan ligero y fácil de colocar, se adapta muy bien al cuerpo de mi hijo, no pesa casi nada ni aunque este mojado, otros chalecos tienen muchos broches y es incomodo ponerlo y quitarlo, pero este solo tiene un cierre y un broche súper sencillos. Mi hijo lo trajo por horas en la alberca y en la playa y jamás se quejo de traerlo puesto. Lo recomiendo muchísimo

Extra para un niño que sabe nadar

Muy buena calidad, el que sea de neopreno lo hace comodo y suave. Muy fácil de poner y es perfecto para un niño que ya sabe nadar como ayuda extra o mayor tranquilidad de los papás. El large Lena queda perfecto a mi hija de 6 años de complexión delgada.
