Not up to my expectations
This belt is fairly comfortable despite it's heavy material. My complaint is that I have to continually cinch up the belt when getting up, etc. The belt will shift & it not easy to tighten up due to the nature of the buckle. The material is so thick that it is difficult loosen the buckle & take up slack. I know this is a specialty belt, so I will use it for other purpose beside holding up my pants.

Very dependable belt
I really love this belt. I first purchased the Better BDU Belt about 15 years ago, when I was in the Navy. It is superior to the standard issue web belts because it is thicker than most belts, and it stays put where you set it in the morning. My buckle from my original belt was metal, unlike this newer belt having a plastic buckle. The paint was wearing off of the original buckle, but other than that, it still held up as good as the day I purchased it. I decided to spring for a new belt, but I still wanted to stay with this design. I liked my Spec-Ops brand belt, but I did look at another brand. The thing that sold me was that this belt is made in the USA, the other tactical belt is made in China. One of the things that I noticed reading other reviews was that the belt was backwards. I was confused when I received my belt, because it was backwards compared to my original belt. When I first put the belt on, it was backwards. Since the belt was backwards, it wasn't holding the position like it should have. I would put it to the position where I needed it, then it would slip about half an inch. I was getting frustrated. Then I noticed that the new black belt had been shipped "inside-out," with the logo facing in. With my original belt, the Spec-Ops logo was facing the outside of the belt. When I received my new olive belt, it was received with the logo also facing out. When I flipped the belt around so that the logo was facing the inside, the belt was instantly easier to adjust, and much more comfortable to wear. The buckle sat closer to my waist, and fit better. One other thing that I like about this belt is that it is kind of stiff, it doesn't fold over easily. When I wear IWB and OWB holsters with this belt, it is very sturdy. The belt stays put in the belt loops, and holds the weight of firearms easily. If you are looking for a dependable belt that looks good, and functions great, you should definitely consider this belt. I highly recommend this belt. It is a quality-made belt, that is made in the USA.

Great quality
Same belt I was replacing. Last one lasted me 12 years and two deployments

Buckle is a little big, but otherwise these are great belts!
I was looking for a belt that was stiff enough to attach a concealed carry holster, and adjustable enough to fit well with a variety of clothing and carry conditions, and after recommendations from friends in the military, found that this belt hits the mark. It is just the right width to fill up most 2" "cargo" type belt loops (cargo shorts, blue jeans, tactical pants, Carhartt style work pants), really anything you would wear a BDU belt with. I would have preferred a less bulky buckle for a more streamlined look, but it doesn't detract from the overall value, comfort and functionality of these belts. I have bought two and would highly recommend.

I recommend this belt to my coworkers
I work in a "secure" area where, among other security measures, I must walk through a metal detector -- a frequent occurrence throughout the workday. It took me about 1 day there to figure out that I wasn't going to put up with taking my metal-buckle belt off all the time, so I got this one to solve that problem. When I see coworkers taking off their belts, I recommend that they get this one. When I first received this belt I was a little concerned because it was so stiff, but it turned out fine. I've lost weight since I bought this and now have more excess belt than I'd like. The one annoyance with this belt is that the tip of that excess tends to curl out away from my waist. Because the belt is still a stiff material, it pushes my shirt out (if my shirt isn't tucked in) and occasionally catches on things (especially if my shirt is tucked in). I'd like to shorten the belt but I'm not sure I could do that without screwing it up.

Do not be fooled by sizes indicated.
Description states that a large fits 36”-46”. This is not so. Total length of a large is 46”. I will only fit to a 40” waist.

Light, strong, durable, and load bearing
I bought this belt to replace one that I already owned, which was tan colored. I bought that one in an Army base store. That belt literally went to war with me, and held up my holstered sidearm (m9 Beretta, heavy) with no chafing or stretching. It was comfortable during all-day use. The belt is still in great shape 6 years later. I never found the plastic buckle to be an issue, and I do own heavier duty belts. I prefer this one for daily use because it is lighter and easier to undo. It is also great that it does not have set intervals, so I can adjust it to the perfect fit. Even if I gain and lose weight. I recently bought two different width black ones to match my civilian wardrobe, and decided to leave this review. I use the wider width with work clothes and the slightly smaller width for casual jeans.

Well made
Well made. This is one of the few belts of this type that holds its position once cinched. Stiffness is perfect for carry of projectile launcher And other self protection devices.
