CHARMING LANTERNS FOR MY BACKYARD

I needed new lanterns for my outdoor lantern stands. Fits perfect and looks great. The flameless candle attached is very convenient and stays in place.

Amazing value. Great design fit

NOTE: I removed the LED candle (simply by removing 3 small screws) so I could put a geranium candle in to keep away mosquitos. I will use in the house at some point, but haven't done so yet, so there is no feedback on the candle part. When looking to decorate our outdoor space, I came across this lantern. It has now been outside for 2 weeks where we tested it against the wind and rain. A storm with high winds knocked it off its pedestal, but it dd not break, bend or dent, and no rain has gotten in. It gets sun most of the day so we'll see how it does after months of it, but so far, I am extremely pleased. I also purchased some other, bigger lanterns at the same time (different retailer) which I also love, but this one is my jewel bargain find!!

Nice Lantern but Timer won't Work

I received the lantern if a very timely manner and well packaged. I love the look of it. It is just the right size to hang outside on our shepherds hook along the sidewalk. But, after several tries with the switch set to timer function, the timer does not work. It will not turn the lantern off, it just stays on all the time. I even tried turning the switch different positions, in case the wiring somehow got all changed around for the different functions, but still no timer function. One of the reasons I bought this lantern was to have it turn on and off automatically so I don't have to go outside each night to turn it off. Also, the door latch on the front of the lantern will not hold the door closed, it keeps popping open. I tried to solve the no timer problem, by placing a timer tea light down in the hollow of the candle, so that turns on and off each night. But, it is nowhere near as bright as the whole candle lighted. A disappointment. And I had to place a small piece of black electrical tape, inconspicuously over the door latch to hold it closed. I was so delighted to find this lantern here on Amazon, at a lesser cost than a popular home goods catalog was offering it, but there are several problems with it. I am unable to run around trying to ship it back to get a replacement, and hope that it would work. Makes me wonder if I had just sent for the one from the catalog, at least I would have gotten a properly working product!

great value

It seems rare to get something of perfect quality buying here anymore. This lantern is perfect. Not a scratch on it. The color is bronze but I would describe it as some black with a lot of copper coming through. Very pretty color. It's lightweight but not flimsy. You can remove the plastic candle. I haven't installed batteries yet but I noticed it has a timer. I bought this for my mantel, but it might be slightly too small. That's my bad, but it will still be used somewhere around my house or even outdoors.
