You Can Stop Right Here!! Did Extensive Research So You Don't Have to!!!
This will be a long review but worth the read. So, I've had 3 cervical spine surgeries (4 level acdf) 2 of them following an auto accident. I've also had a shoulder & hip replacement. I have an extremely expensive memory foam IComfort bed and have gone through dozens of pillows which I thought would be the answer to all my sleeping issues. My daughter has a pretty incredible bed and the past few times I've stayed with her, I've had the best night sleep (the only good sleep) and she finally told me it was because she had purchased a mattress topper. She sent me photos (she had a 3 inch standard gel/foam topper). I set out on a mission. I had no idea how many options there were to choose from. So many claims / conflicting reviews -- I researched dozens and dozens and read dozens and dozens of reviews on each one -- Then, I came to this specific topper!! I narrowed it down to 3 different toppers and ultimately -- I purchased the Innovations Dual Layer Gel Topper I chose The Innovations topper because 1) it had more positive reviews than any other on the market 2) It came with a cover that would encompass the memory foam portion of the topper (and it's so deep that it even covers my deep queen sized IComfort Memory mattress) 3) it was a combination of the 2 types of toppers available 4) I was afraid the 2 inches would be two thin and the 4 would be too thick and felt this combination would be the perfect compromise (and it was). 5) It was extremely affordable in comparison to all of the others available. I removed the 2 piece(s) from the box and unrolled it right onto the bed.. It had no odor whatsoever and it laid out perfectly flat. I placed the 2nd topper right on top and pulled it down around the memory foam topper (which was slightly larger however it just formed around my own mattress) and then extended it down past my bed's mattress and made my bed. My first night and all subsequent night's sleep have been pretty incredible. It is slightly/noticeably higher and you do kind of fluff into the bed but not nearly as much as some of the reviews indicated. One review had me laughing so hard , it made me cry -- that I'd be literally fighting and at war with my mattress every night-- not true!!! I can say that I had the absolute worst bursitis pain imaginable following my hip replacement surgery. I really did not know that is what it was until about a year after my surgery, I went to my surgeon telling him how much pain I was in down the one side. After examining my hip and showing me xrays he indicated how perfect it looked and then did a few "touch tests which were immensely painful. I received the first of many shots right into the bursa and typically count the days till I can have the next one (about every 45 days -- until I got this topper (the last shot I received was in September) -- Before this topper, I could not sleep on that side -- EVER!! I had to lift my leg with my hands to help me turn over in bed, had to lift my leg with my hands to cross them like a lady!! Now, it's barely noticeable and I even told my husband the other day that not only has it helped my sleeping (back, neck, hip) but my pain level during the day is almost a "non issue" like it was prior to the topper --- It's pretty darn amazing! My husband has terrible hip issues and arthritis and he's the biggest Negative-Nellie there is about anything I try. He had always hated our bed but he's really loved the first days of having the topper. He has said he does feel much better since having the topper (but he needs hip surgery so his issues are different than mine). I for sure can say that the Innovations Topper solved the exact issues I needed it to solve without it being so significantly different than what I'd already had previously based on the reviews .. I hope that if I ever need another one, this exact one will still be available because I will never order any other kind. I plan to get one for every bed in my home as soon as I start to remodel and will buy them as gifts when I can. I've told everyone I can think of "my story" -- including all my Doctors, Nurses, PT's etc -- -- If there is a way for me to sell them for you, let me know! I'll be your No 1 sales person for sure!!

Missing half the items
I only got the white topper but not the blue gel pad. Several reviews say the same. The only way to fix is by returning/refunding, or reaching out to the supplier so I emailed the supplier and filed out their forms and requested pics. A couple of days later I received a package containing BOTH parts! So I ended up with an extra topper so yay me! It's been less than 1 wk and i still wake several times at night and still have sciatic nerve issues. I have degenerative disk disease so take my review with a grain of salt. I am reviewing the customer service only at this time!

UPDATE: because I strongly believe that the measly 4 negative reviews out of all the 100s of positive ones, and the "all negative q&a's", are probably from competitors and that's just not fair. Give credit where credit is due especially if helpsbithers with PAIN. And I have no stock in this company I don't know anything about this company I'm just someone who bought it because it had so many good reviews. I ONLY buy products based on reviews. I could care less with the advertisement says. Original review: After wasting 10s of thousands on mattresses in my 26 years as an adult, (back in 1996 when I turned 18, a decent Simmons beauty rest cost over $2,000-4,000. & all non water or gel beds all still had springs) and my first 1 spent a year savings from fast food jobs on sagged nearly an inch! I slept on the hard floor for 9 years while working as a pro athlete doing some incredible damage to my back muscles and joints. I have suffered immeasurably and memory foam mattresses were the hot new thing, I wasted an equal amount on various models of those. Only a sleep number finally brought "some relief". I bought this because 1 review after another said they finally had NO PAIN and the like. I've had it for 3 weeks now & I'm going to ditto all those comments. It doesnt matter what kind of matress you have you HAVE TO HAVE THIS TOPPER. Everyone one on the planet should be entitled to this simple, yet amazingly ugly, miracle pad. I feel like I'm floating while I sleep. I end up kicking my body pillow out from under my knee an hour into sleeping bcus it's not needed & just annoying me now. I also dont even need my head pillow as the topper fills the neck dip in perfectly and I can finally sleep on my back and have my spine aligned perfectly. I still have to stop & stretch & twist my muscles randomly throughout the day, but right after getting this my back pain became less & less each night and now I have none at all while I sleep. Or the 1st few hours I'm awake. It won't cure all your pain from having to stand, walk or sit during the day, but this is as good as it gets for sleep pain relief. I'm going to buy a few for my elderly neighbors, as this is one of those things that everyone should just be entitled to, like dental insurance, it should come with life. Be in your little "welcome to being alive, this is gonna hurt" kit, when your born. It's soo amazing. I feel guilty being only 46 and knowing I have elderly neighbors sleeping 2 doors down on crappy mattresses with a walmart pad. And even tho they could afford one of these, they're none the wiser. No one believes you until they experience it themself. But anyone can afford the $130 because once you sleep on it you're going to realize you'd sell your 1st born for one. My favorite part is I can sit on it and watch movies but soon as I lay down it fills in the previous indentations in seconds. I know all memory foam does that, eventually. But this one is just different. It works. Like some Alien intelligence a million years more advanced than us engineered it in a test tube. It also stays cold and has a feeling unlike anything I've ever felt. Sometimes I stand in my bedroom doorway & just wonder about it. The feeling is like cool wet gel that always stays about 60 degrees and wet mushy gooey blue weird crap plus gooey memory foam all formed into millions of pin sized drops or something who knows. To say its cutting edge is a collasal understatement. It's ridiculously refreshing and Ridiculously heavenly. I never wanna be away from it. And I'm no longer in a hurry to finish growing old and die anymore.

Comfortable
I have problems with my lower back, so always hurting. I woke up today, with alot less pain. For spending that much money, was disappointed of the stains. Not sure why that happens, but it didn't make it work any less. Good topper for sure.

GREAT PRODUCT
I have been sleeping on my couch since October because my mattress made my lower back hurt to the point that I was in pain daily. In March I finally bought a new mattress. I slept on it a total of 4 times, waking up in pain 4 times. 2 of those times I had to go to the chiropractor. The mattress was too firm and gave no support to my lower back. A friend suggested I get a mattress topper so I started searching reviews for the best topper and when I found this one I knew it had to be the one. I am so grateful to the great detailed reviews on this topper. I've had it 4 nights......and slept great for 4 nights and not waking up in pain is wonderful. I have been so stressed over my whole sleep situation for 5 months thanks to this great top the stress is gone.

Comfort
This is one of the best purchases I have ever made. I already have a really good mattress but with hip pain and hip bursitis I couldn’t lay on my sides and lost a lot of sleep. When I got into bed the first night after putting this on it I slept so comfortably and was able to lay on my sides again. It amazes me doctors don’t recommend something like this. The top layer flattens out over time where you lay but I expected that but even with that my bed is still way more comfortable. I definitely recommend this to others and I’d most definitely buy it again if I ever have a need to. I’ve had it for a few years now and still very happy with it.

Perfect for my terrible back pain!!
I have had back pain for as long as I can remember, I have 3 Herniated discs, I even had to get a breast reduction 3 years ago due the the pain they were causing to my back. So due to all that I have always had to get the most expensive mattresses to help ease my pain, the one that I bought a few years ago was starting to feel less than ideal so I was contemplating buying a new one but in a more suitable price range, I decided tto check what Amazon had to offer and found this mattress topper, I decided that buying this and try it could be a better solution than directly buying an expensive mattress. I bought it and put it on my mattress the moment it was delivered, I have been sleeping on it for 4 nights now and so far I feel really good in the choice that I made. It's really comfortable and easy to put together, I haven't been in much pain in the pass few days and I am really thankful for that. Hopefully it stays that way. If you are hesitant but are in pain, I would suggest you at least give it a try before you go for the more expensive brands.

Needed added softness
My Douglas mattress was too firm, it’s not very old so I didn’t want to change it out. I looked at mattress toppers. I wanted something decent. I have this one a try and bingo no more sore arms plus I sleep better. Morrisburg ON Canada
