Heavy duty is an overstatement
The paper might be a little thicker than a normal cheap paper plate, but these still do not feel like they are "heavy duty". There is too much ruffling around the edges to help give these some illusion of being more durable than they are. The silver edging seems to only be for show and don't actually offer any thing else. Was disappointed with these.

Cute look but not very sturdy
These paper plates have a very cute and classy look from a distance. If you get up close you can see that they aren't what they appear to be. The plates are paper so they are not as sturdy as you would expect them to be based on the look. But they are certainly better than a plain paper plate.

Not very impressive but gets the job done!
This set is flimsy and not that impressive to look at, feeling paper thin. But, surprisingly, it hold up and works as a disposable plate. It actually is pretty good looking when packaged together but out of the set and individually, while still looking good, it really is not high-end by any measure especially given the price point.

Pretty to look at, but not "heavy duty" at all
I like the stark white with vivid gold trim coloring, bowl shaping and pleating. But I'm disappointed in the quality of the material these plates are made of, which is not "heavy duty" at all, and I would not trust them to hold up under the weight of food without a plastic plate holder beneath them. These would look lovely and probably perform very well as a dessert plate with a piece of pie, cake or some cookies on each plate, but I would proceed with extreme care when using these for full meals or with any wet food that would make a mess when/if the plate should fail.

Regular Duty at Best
These are just basic paper plates in terms in sturdiness. I would not consider these to be heavy duty. They do look nice on the front, and have a small silver like inner circle (likely foil). Because of this, they cannot be used in the microwave, which is a disadvantage for me, because you cannot heat up a plate of food using these. Because of these factors, I would not recommend these paper plates.

Fancy paper plate
These are large dinner paper plates with a 10” inch diameter. The outer 2” inches are ribbed textured for design purposes. I can’t think of any other purpose it might serve. Speaking of serving, I suggest anything light weight and dry. Such as sandwhiches, subs(cold), burgers etc. Nothing heavy duty about these plates. They aren’t flimsy but no feature that puts them above an ordinary paper plate except for the design. 18 per pack

Misleading
The media could not be loaded. So normally when an ad for a product is misleading I give it two stars. If it ends up being a terrible product on top of it I will give it one star but I would never give anything halfway decent to the stars. So this one gets three stars because these plates are absolutely not heavy duty, heavy duty to me means you can pile food on that plate and it will not bend and let your food fall on the floor. These clearly are not heavy duty. However they are nice plates and would go well with a nice occasion where you could use paper plates and because of that I went ahead and give them three stars. But just know they are not heavy duty you can see in the video

NOT Heavy Duty, Thin White Plate Good for Light Refreshments and Casual at Home Dining
The media could not be loaded. Hello Friends, I selected these these fancy disposable plates for use during special dinner events to cut back on clean up. I posted a video unboxing these plates. They are a high gloss coated white plate with gold accent and trim. I will not be using these plates for a dinner party but will be using them for light refreshments and casual dinner salads at home. They were very thin and not at all heavy duty. I am deducting two stars. One for falsely labeling these plates as heavy duty and one for breaking my heart. You had one job! ???? I need a fancy heavy duty white plate with gold accents for Christmas Dinner! Dissapointed.
