Like drinking from a straw that has a hole in it

Bottle is nice, very good quality. It's shaped like a standard plastic sports bottle with a similar cap. However, you can squeeze the plastic ones for liquid delivery, obviously you cannot with aluminum. I'm not sure if my cap is defective, but trying to drink from it (while the bottle is turned upside down) is similar to drinking from a straw that has a hole in it. If you know what I'm talking about, it's very frustrating; you get 30% air 70% liquid while drinking. Should have went with a normal bottle that has a straw attached to the lid.

A water bottle for the ages

I had tried my first SIGG bottle several years ago. I used it every day for roughly eight years, and it has the dents and scratches to show for it. Since it still "worked", I hesitated to replace it, however, I was tired of constantly screwing the top on and off, and wanted a wider mouth at the top so be able to put regular ice cubes in it, and to be able to clean it more easily. When I saw this bottle, it fit the bill. I love it. The texture of the outside is just right, and keeps it from slipping in your hand. The option to remove the entire top to have a full opening is helpful for cleaning or adding regular ice cubes. The smaller top opening is great for when you want to take a long drink, or take medicine. The sip-top is wonderful for when you are riding a bike, working out, or driving. It keeps my water cold, and I love the spare, basic design. It fits into the average car beverage holder and into a bike water cage, as well as the side of most backpacks. It may sound odd to gush about a water bottle, but I feel that good design can make the little things that you use every day a joy. I'm glad I bought this, and expect to use it for even longer than my first SIGG bottle.

Best water bottle I've found!

Well, yes, it may seem silly to spend a chunk of change on a water bottle, BUT, I seriously could not find a decent water bottle, not a cheap one, nor even at the $20+ mark. This bottle is GREAT! Wide mouth lid means easy filling. Put the first screw cap on, which fits the wide mouth, and you have a narrow mouth, for guzzling or pouring. Put the second screw cap on, and now it is a sealed unit. Then comes the super cool sports top, built into the second screw cap -- it has a variety of options, to click and lock open for nice long pulls of water (which flow super smooth) or unlocked open, for just a single pull of water. Or, push down, turn, and the sport top locks closed for leak-proof seal again. Very clever and well made sport top, LOVE IT! Bottle itself is lightweight, has a good feel in the hand, and does not flavor the water, at all. I did the research on this one, and it beats all the others, for what I was looking for, in a versatile, easy to clean, rugged and robust design. Worth every penny!

Like not from the threads of the screw-on tops

Leaks! Like not from the threads of the screw-on tops, but right through the seam in the very top nozzle. Other than that I really like it. Not a HUGE deal that it leaks, I mean it's not often that it would be upside down, especially now that I know about it and can be more careful. The worst that happened was that I ended up with a wet floorboard carpet in my rental car on my recent camp/hike trip. But for over $20, and for application in a possible survival situation in which you would want to preserve every drop of water, and you may have enough other stuff to worry about besides making sure your water bottle stays upright, I would unfortunately opt for something else.

Fantastic

The bottle is very comfortable to use and of fantastic design. There are two things to take into consideration before buying it. First, it's not a vacuum flask, so you'd better not pour hot water into it. It's made of aluminium, so you may get burnt. Second, it's 750 ml. Some people might find it not much enough. For me this is the best bottle I've ever had.

Nice bottle, just not for cycling

Very nice bottle and very functional, allowing air in the mouthpiece as you drink. It's just straight forward aluminum so no insulation but that's just what I wanted. However, I bought this as I thought it was sized for a bicycle bottle cage but unfortunately it is too slender to fit in a standard cage. No idea why Sigg didn't make this a little bit wider and opened their market up to thousands of cyclist (like me) who want an aluminum bottle rather than plastic!

Great Water Bottle.

Looks great without a bunch of overly obnoxious logos all over it. The Matte finish was a key selling point for me. Been using it now for about a year and a half.

It’s a bike bottle!

Nice bike bottle, fits standard holder on bike. Can open at a wide neck or from the smaller screw cap, makes cleaning easier and a choice of drinking methods. Slight issue that the pull up cap needs to click into place as I didn’t do this properly once and ended up getting my lip pinched by the mechanism. But no issues since learning the hard way!

Its a decent bottle

Its a decent bottle in itself however the tip is very annoying to drink from, it opens and closes if your not quick enough to suck the liquid out, and doesn't go well with anything fizzy, but the material is good, there's no after smell inside from previous drinks its not your regular bottle, nice if you can replace the top which you can just look for Sigg top or cap replacements and you get new designs and better easier way to drink off the top. The one it comes with is terrible and they should have reduced the price to £10 because of that, as its whole purpose is to drink from the top its a drinking bottle! Too bad it can only withstand 40oC dish wash friendly. So really its lost a few stars because of that for near £20 you'd expect it to be able to withstand 65oC dishwash and have a better cap to drink from with a sealable one too, any external foreign object can get on it such as a fly or insect I'm surprised it wasn't made with a cap to close over it but you can buy the sigg replacement caps which do come with one, made for kids -.-

sort of like an old jaguar - premium product requires maintenance

no question its a premium product however its maintenance is a nuisance; the cap is a little too advanced for us simpletons. I've often worried that the product was finished after leaving pre or protein in it for more than 2 hours. this has special cleaning pills to maintain its premium service so somewhat of a yellow flag. obviously, its a high grade bottle but the three piece cap is a headache to clean as well.
