beautiful, nice weight but some flaws

I really struggled between giving these glasses a 3 vs a 4 star. In the end . . . 4 won out. These are nice glasses the perfect size for me. They fit nicely in my hand. The glass is clear and pretty, thin on the sides, with a thicker heavier bottom to stop them from being top heavy or feeling delicate. It gives the glass a sturdy feel without making them feel cheap or low quality. The issue I had was that every glass had some sort of flaw. Some were waves, some were tiny lumps of glass on the inside, but each glass had something. Nothing so large that it jumped out at me even with my type A personality or would stop me from using the glasses, but still there when I looked closely. For the price I would have expected this to not be the case. In the end the flaws were so minor I decided it was worth only one star, not two.

Absolutely love Mikasa and these adorable glasses are so classy

My husband has a set of Mikasa dishware that he received from his grandmother, that were his very favorite childhood plates and were used by his grandmother for some time before he even came along. Just that longevity will tell you so much about the Mikasa brand. And while so many brands have declined in quality in this age of manufacturing everything in China, the things I've gotten from Mikasa more recently have given me faith that quality is still an important word in their company. This beautiful beverage set was thoughtfully designed to where it has a heavier bottom and does not feel likely to tip over. It went through the dishwasher with ease and did not collect water on the bottom of the glass, and did not get an unfortunate film through the dishwasher as so many other glasses do. These are really meant for a family who appreciates beautiful things and yet also needs the convenience of something sturdy and that can be easily washed with the rest of the family's items in the dishwasher. The glass is clear and has a beautiful shine to it, the shape is lovely, and the weight is just right, not too heavy and not too flimsy. Overall I could not be happier with my new drink where set. Perfect for lemonade!

What I expected from the Mikasa brand.

These glasses are a nice size and feel good in your hand. The base is thick so it's also a very stable glass. I just wish the glass itself was a little bit thicker. None have broken or chipped as of yet, so they are good quality glasses. I think it's just a personal preference and I live with big guys with big hands and like study glasses for them.

Simple design makes a near perfect glass

It has been awhile since we bought a good drinking glass set. We've been using mason jars as replacements but that can get old. When I saw this set, it was the Mikasa name that caught my eye and drew me to select it and we are so happy that I did. This Mikasa Napoli Beverage Drinkware Set is a simple design so it goes with anything. It is well balanced and sturdy so I don't have to worry about tip-overs. It is so easy to clean. It looks great and feels good to use. Just really pleased with this set and it has sold me back into getting standard drinking sets again. Also, it is hard to go wrong with Mikasa.

Basic, Quality Glassware

In truth and from a distance a distance one would be hard pressed to tell these glasses from cheap imported glasses. In hand and up close though, you can see and how feel great these look. The glass is crystal clear without any bubbles, the bottoms are generally uniform ( as opposed to having the thick bottoms cause an uneven plane on the inside of the glass), and they have a very nice heft to them. Additionally, they are dishwasher safe and can be stacked though that will definitely cause wear and I wouldn't do it straight out of hot dishwasher. The design of these glasses is pretty standard but also extremely flexible and you can tell in hand they are high quality glasses. These pair just as well with nice dinner as with pizza on Friday night or a lemonade on a hot summer day. Highly recommended.

Good set of clear, somewhat heavy glasses ... easy to hold

Beautiful glasses. Perfect for your home or gift-giving

I have to say that one of my glasses arrived broken, but I'm sure it was during shipping. Didn't bother to return. The other three are beautiful and make a great addition to your home---and the set is great for gift-giving. Really easy to handle, and I have to say they look a lot more expensive than they are. Enjoying using them.

Dishwasher Safe. Strong.

These are beautiful thick beverage glasses. They are dishwasher safe, and Italian made. They come in a set of 4. Mine actually came in the stock packaging without any padding or packing material. Not one broke or got scratched, which truly amazed me. I didn't notice any Mikasa branding on the glasses, but they don't look cheap that's for sure. They feel great in my hand, beverages look great in them. They look great, and stand up to the repeated washings. We love the look, and feel of these glasses and would definitely recommend them.
