No soft close

Love the plastic seats because they are so easy when it comes to cleaning. It is not soft close however. If you don’t hold it when closing, it slams down.

Ok, maybe it’s not the toilet seat the queen uses, but it does what it’s supposed to, is easy to install, and a breeze to keep clean. Well worth the money.

Fits perfectly

The seat fits perfectly and looks great. I love that it's a smooth non-porous material, so cleaning and sanitizing is a literal breeze. I was able to install it myself without asking for any help from my husband, in under 5 minutes. It's been a few weeks since we started using it and it hasn't loosened up or had anything happen yet. So I'm pretty satisfied. It is a thinner plastic than some. I enjoy this because I don't like heavy toilet seats, this one doesn't slam down like my old lid did. But for some people I can see this being a downside, because it isn't great for sitting on, because it will bend under your weight. But that isn't really an issue in my house. We don't really sit on the toilet with the seat down often. But if that would bother you, that's something you should take into consideration. For me the only con I can see is that I wish there was maybe some kind of rubber pieces or something on the bottom side of the seat, because if I shift my weight a tiny bit I can feel the seat slide just a little bit, against the porcelain of the toilet. But the seat for now is nice and tightly screwed on, it's not really a issue- but if I was to be critical, that's the only thing I would really change.

2 minute installation and great color match!

Got the old wood seat off and this one installed in less than 5 minutes. The plastic seat is so much better than thr wood. It's easier to clean and there's no paint to worry about damaging. The color is a great match to the toilet.

At first was great

I was very impressed initially, considering the price. the thickness of the lids and the slow close feature although closes really really slow but I figured this gives it room for wearing out and lasting longer. However, upon installing it the plastic where it bolts to the toilet is very thin and this was an issue I had with my last toilet seat. I don’t know why they would make the rest of the assembly such nice thick good quality plastic and then go really thin where it counts most. Also, when I sit on the toilet with both lids closed the top lid shifts sideways putting force on those thin hinges so I feel like the hinges will be the first thing to go on this. Let’s hope not but this is why I gave it its rating.

Decent toilet but don't try sitting on the lid!

The toilet seat is fine but when you try to sit on the lid, it slides out to the side and pushes the seat the opposite direction and pushed off centre. I'm afraid this will damage the hinges over time so I will be returning this.
