Practical

I have a dry bar in my basement and this bucket comes in useful when i entertain. I fill it up with ice and it lasts without melting the ice. Of course, my basement is cool, and we go through the ice in a matter of hours. It is very practical, and it is well made. closes well and holds enough ice for a good number of drinks. I am happy with this bucket.

Hotel Style Ice Bucket at Home!

I get that this isn't something that everyone is going to need or appreciate, but in certain situations these are amazingly handy. I should probably start off by saying that I like my drinks very, very cold. Literally painfully cold. Couldn't tell you why, I've just always been like that. Normally, not a problem. However, I act as a caretaker for a couple of family members. In one of these situations the person being cared for is a light sleeper, and also sleeps very close to the kitchen. Getting ice while they are resting is just not an option. Or rather, it wasn't an option before I got this. It's one of those little quality of life changes that just makes more of a difference than you would expect. As far as utility, this has functioned pretty much exactly as expected. It is very well insulated and does not sweat, even in Florida level humidity. If filled with ice in the evening, by morning more than half is usually still frozen. The lid features a gasket-type seal which also helps with insulation. The included tongs are also a nice touch. My only complaint (and the reason for the deducted star) is that after some use, the handle wears away the black finish in the spots where it makes contact with the exterior of the bucket. This could easily be avoided by either putting some kind of lining on the handles edges or using a different material altogether for the handle. Overall this is a high quality item that performs as advertised. If you've got a use for it, I would definitely recommend picking one up. I'm glad I got mine, it has genuinely been one of those little things that makes a big difference for me.

Great ice bucket!

This bucket is pretty fantastic. Holds ice and keeps that ice frozen for a good long time due to the insulated nature of the bucket. The lid isn't quite insulated, so you will lose some cold through it, but really it lasts enough for your average drinking session. This really completes a bar set, and it's just a really nice thing to have if you want to take your drinking habit to another room for the evening. Sometimes it's nice to take a decanter, a couple glasses, and an ice bucket onto the back porch and have a few glasses of whiskey with a friend or your sweety. It is large enough easily to use as a champagne bucket; room for a bottle and room to spare for plenty of ice around it. It reminds me very much of a hotel ice bucket, except better construction. The inside seems to be stainless, so cleaning is super easy. All in all, very nice!

Nice ICE bucket with one flaw

I really like this ICE bucket. It is a great addition for a Bar or for gatherings when you need some ice close by without needing a freezer to access. I tested how long the ice stays in the Bucket before melting and the ice lasted about 12 hours which is great, but that will vary depending on ambient conditions where you put the bucket. I like the included tongs which grab the ice easily. There is one flaw with this Bucket. The Black painted exterior gets damaged by the handle hitting the sides constantly as you can see in my Photos. The paint chips off where the handle hits the side of the Bucket. I do wish the Handle had some kind of Rubber cover to protect the Buckets exterior from getting damaged overtime. But other than that, it's a great ICE bucket. I still recommend the Bucket for those that need it at their bar area or for small gatherings.

Nice Ice Bucket Holds Ice A Long Time!

This is a nice looking ice bucket that functions well. I put one tray of ice (15 cubes) in it put the lid back on and checked it three hours later and the amount of water in the bucket was hardly noticeable. I checked a couple hours later and there was a bit more water but the ice was still very usable for a drink.. The first picture is the fresh ice the second after three hours. Had the bucket been full of ice I'm guessing it would have lasted even longer. Now keep in mind the ice bucket is indoors at room temp. The quality of this bucket seems about average. The handle could use some sort of comfort grip as it's just a piece of tin that's been bent into a loop and the edges will dig into your hands and fingers when carrying it full of ice. Not painful just a bit annoying. The tongs is nice but a bit on the flimsy side. I sometimes prefer a tongs over a small scoop depending on what kind of drinks we are having and what kinds of glasses we are using. The rubber gasket on the lid fits very snug to the bucket and is a very good design. Part of the reason why it holds ice so well. The lid is a shiny chrome so it gives it a classy look and will look nice on any bar. The bucket itself is a black matte finish and does contrast nicely with the polished chrome lid and handle but the drawback here is that it is black. I will never understand why you would design something to keep something cold and then make it black. If you put this outside in your patio entertaining area that black bucket is going to absorb the sun and heat up. You will need to be certain to keep it out of the sun. I felt the poor handle design and the color combined were enough to keep this from a five star item. This is still a nice bucket just a couple minor flaws. If you have a indoor bar it would be perfect for that. If you bring it outside on a nice summer day maybe wrap it in a white towel or keep it out of the sun. Overall I would say you are getting your value at the price point.
