Well Made. but makes feeding difficult..

My 125 is made of tempered glass making an overflow box a necessity for my converted reef tank. canister filter was just a nitrate factory unless cleaned every 3-4 days and still had to do 35% water changes weekly to keep things under control. a Sump/refugium were my only option to simplify life this overflow box made that possible and easily keeps up with my 2000 gph return pump. (actually run it at 40% 800 gph.) Drawbacks? it's loud and makes broadcast feeding impossible. anything floating on the surface is pulled into the overflow before it has a chance to sink. So the return pump has to be turned off and water level allowed to drop below the inlets on the overflow box before feeding. So 4 stars for build quality but design could use improving.

A cover for the drain side would come in handy to quiet this overflow.

No bulk head tubing comes with this box.

This is a nice product same as all the others. Plexi quality is good it’s not brittle. Plastic mounting screws could be a little stronger plastic just tighten them enough to hold the box in place and still be able to slide it up or down for quick water flow without it creating bubbles. Only thing is the bulkhead tubing doesn’t come with the overflow box. Siphoning U tubes are not too long, you have to position the black filter box high enough so the siphoning tube doesn't get air bubbles trapped in the top of the tube but still lets enough water flow go threw to filter at a proper water speed. Took a little bit of adjusting, I got it running and has been flowing strong for 2 weeks straight now without having to reset the siphoning tube.

Very nice works perfect

Very nice item made of acrylic and black plastic for the overflow best thing is that its adjustable for where you want the water level looks small on pictures but its actually big The only thing that dont work is the pvc fitting for the bulkhead they are 1” but for some reason they are smaller than the actually 1” pvc so it wont be snug on the bulk head but two new pieces from homedepot fixes the problem quick. Very happy with my purchase

It arrived broken

The media could not be loaded. Is very fragile and for the price I will rather not deal with that in the future breaking while filled with water. Try something else if you can...

TRASH- DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY

I got this recently and noticed that the center channel that sits on the rim of the aquarium which is also the piece the skimmer box bolts to was completely snapped off. 1 of the prefilter sponges had chunks out of it at the bottom and the top. I got 1 air tube. I was supposed to get 2 riser assemblies which was a pvc tubes with an air tube attached to the inside of the pvc tube and extended 2'' above the pvc tube. These fit in the 1'' slip of both bulkheads and since the air tubes would be above the water line, it gives the air needed to get fill water flow. This is going back.

Broken

I had this for about two weeks and it came apart water leaked all over my floor, i don’t recommend good idea but not well built at all
