Great product...BUT BE CAREFUL!!!
Does what its suppose to do and well.... but there are drawbacks. 1. IT SMELLS BAD in anything other than the bottle or in water, so if you have multiple tanks and want to use different containers other than the big bottle it comes in for easy access.....DONT! Your nostrils will thank you. 2. Dosage instructions are very confusing. Instructions on the bottle is very different from instructions online. The difference in dosage instructions lead to losing $300 worth of fish. ONLINE INSTRUCTIONS: Use 200 mg Safe (scoop) per each 200 L (50 gallons) as needed to reduce chlorine and chloramine or per 50 L (13 gallons) for ammonia. BOTTLE INSTRUCTIONS: Use 1.25 g (1/4 tsp.) for every 1,250 L (300 US gallons) as needed to reduce chlorine and chloramine or use 1.25 g (1/4 tsp.) for every 300 L (75 US gallons) for ammonia. For precise dosing, use the Seachem Digital Spoon Scale. So it isnt all bad it does go a long way and can be a really great product. Just wish SEACHEM fix those two big issues. I will be returning to SEACHEM Prime after this runs out.

Made my own prime
I watched a YouTube video, recalculated the math, and mixed 4 teaspoon of powder into my empty 500ml prime bottle and refilled it with warm water. Used it per the prime bottle dosing instruction and my fish are still alive. Yep, I like it.

Great product it works.
For those large aquarium like 100 gal or better. I use safe for water change more concentration. Just about the same as seachem prime. I believe the prime has a added ingredient that helps fish have a skin surface conditioner.

Best value
Great product, last a very long time. Better than prime when you have a lot of tanks.

Great price
I mix it by the gallon jug to use in my fish room for water changes and it works great and is a great value for the money compared to the premixed gallon jugs.

I won't use anything else in my tanks
This is the product fish stores don't want you to buy. This is the exact same product as Seachem Prime, just in the concentrated powder form. If you have huge tanks, this is the way to go. I've got 800 gallons worth of tanks right now and do weekly 50% water changes and it's lasted me well over a year. I suspect I'll have this a few years. This question comes up a lot in our fish groups; "when do you add the dechlorinator?" and my answer for you is while you are filling up. As soon as I turn the water over to start filling directly into my tank, I sprinkle the powder where it's filling so it can dissolve (although this isn't even necessary) you can add the powder before filling, during filling, or after you are done filling and your fish should be fine. I used to live in California where the water was TERRIBLE and even my delicate fry did perfectly fine with this. No need to add in a bucket before putting in your tank, it's not practical. FYI this product smells incredibly bad, this is normal. The fresh container gave me a headache when I first opened it. So keep the container closed whenever you can and consider putting it in a ziplock bag.

Love this product!
I do frequent water changes and in the 80% range, I have a 180 gallon cichlid tank and a 100 gallon glofish tank. I also frequently test my perimeters and have a little higher nitrates than I prefer and ammonia than I prefer. I have two fluval fx6 oh my big tank and one FX4 of my smaller tank for filtration. And even with the best filter media I still get readings a tad higher than I like to see. Adding safe to the water has kept my fish healthy even with the little higher nitrates and ammonia. so I would imagine it is doing its job by neutralizing them ???? it gives me a peace of mind ???? It take such a little amount that this will last me a long long time! It's worth the price if you're struggling with the same thing

Best in the market - lasts so long!
I was initially skeptical of using a powder rather than liquid but was so glad I transitioned to this brand. Pros: + lasts so long + must be highly efficient as I use this for my baby bettas with great success + easy to use + has effectively done what it says on the packet (removes chlorine, chloramine, and ammonia) Cons: - I fill a 10L bucket with new water so only require 0.02 scoops (their scoop is tiny) so I probably end up accidentally using a lot more of the product than needed. But of a long shot but maybe would be handy if they one day made another version of the product or just the scoop for people with smaller fish tanks. - smells very chemically. Not too bad during general use as you only open it for a short while but if you drop the lid in the water and have to leave the lid aside to dry off it makes the room smell. - I’ve lost the spoon so trying to measure out such a small measurement by eye can be very tricky

Confusing
First off the positives: Good value in that one kilo can treat nearly a million litres for chlorine removal at the standard rates in tap water Binds Ammonia into ammonium for 24-48 hours, so handy in an emergency in a brand new tank / Pond. Negatives: Dosages to lower Ammonia can be 4 times higher, therefore reducing the value for money aspect No scientific proof or explanation that it lowers / eliminates / binds Nitrites or Nitrates - only Ammonia. Confusing dosage instructions on the label vs their site that can require much higher dosages, see below from seachem’s site: "NOTE: These directions supersede all other prior packaging. 50 g Use 200 mg Safe (scoop) per each 200 L (50 gallons) as needed to reduce chlorine and chloramine or per 50 L (13 gallons) for ammonia. All other sizes Use 1.25 g (1/4 tsp.) for every 1,250 L (300 US gallons) as needed to reduce chlorine and chloramine or use 1.25 g (1/4 tsp.) for every 300 L (75 US gallons) for ammonia. For precise dosing, use the Seachem Digital Spoon Scale. May be added to aquarium directly, but better if added to new water first. If adding directly to aquarium, base dose on aquarium volume. For exceptionally high chloramine concentrations, a double dose may be used safely. To detoxify nitrite and nitrate in an emergency, up to 4 times normal dose may be used. If temperature is > 30 °C (86 °F) and chlorine or ammonia levels are low, use a half dose."

Amazing stuff. I wouldn't be without it.
This stuff is fantastic. Best water conditioner available? Check. Detoxifies Ammonia, Nitrates and Nitrites? Check. Lasts forever and represents great value for money? Check. Reputable brand? Check. Perfect compliment to a Seneye for Ammonia spikes? Check. This is just Seachem Prime, but in a powdered form. It can be a little tricky to work out the dosage for your tank, but luckily I have a very large tank so it's not too bad. You get slightly over 1kg as well, which is nice! I really cant recommend this enough. It should be in every aquarists cupboard.

GREAT PRODUCT
I LOVE ALL SEACHEM PRODUCTS. THEY ARE A BIT TO EXPENSIVE BUT DEFINATELY ADDICTIVE. I WOULD RECOMEND IT TO ALL FISH KEEPERS. YOU ONLY NEED A SMALL AMOUNT AND IT LAST GOOD WHILE. ALSO IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS THE COMPANY WILL HAPPILY PROVIDE THE HELP. FOR ME IT IS THE NUMBER ONE. THANK YOU SEACHEM .

Great Value
When the tiny tub arrived I thought I'd made a mistake with my order although I was pleasantly surprised. The tub has a tiny spoon to measure the correct dosage and I have hardly made a dent in it after water changing my three tanks totalling 650litres. I mixed it in a jug of water before adding to the tank then topped the tank up from the hose worked a treat. Will buy again but I won't need it for ages I'm guessing.
