I mean it's a cheap sand spike

Bought to use while I was doing some surf fishing down in Florida. I mean it is what it is, a cheap way to hold your rod up that's fairly sturdy. The bolt that they run through close to the top could benefit being a little further down for rods with longer base to help secure better but for the money you're not going to find a better holder unless you're ready to drop $40 plus on a metal spike set up.

Better than home made.

I use to make my own from PVC tubing but condo living does not lend itself to make myself and to be honest these are priced cheaper than I can make and nice flared top.

Tip Rolled Up

First use was great. Nice and easy to put into the sand. Second use, tip rolled up and was impossible to push through the packed sand. I bought 3 and noticed some tips are thicker then others. I used 2 so far and one failed me but other is doing good so far.

Great beach rod holder

Great rod holder for the beach. Very straight forward. Had no issues. Used 4 of them for 7 days straight. Even used a rubber mallet on them with no issues. And made in the USA apparently!
