Perfect leash and buckle for diving. Clips however do corrode quickly

I rinse my gear after every dive and metal has rapidly shown corrosion. Perhaps a spray of clear oat before first use would reduce it. Only had for a few weeks and works great for price. Only flaw is the rusting.

Very sturdy, but small gates

I'm very impressed with the overall sturdiness of the product, as well as all of the individual components (buckle, coil, clips, etc.). The coil isn't the wimpy type you commonly see for keys, but is made of material almost 1/4 in diameter formed into a coil with a diameter of almost an inch! The webbing is stiched firmly and nicely finished. Furthermore, the clips and buckle all seem like they would be very difficult to break, even if abused. The coil easily stretches to arm length and a bit further, so that aspect is more than adequate for my needs, as well. The only thing that keeps this product from earning a 5 star rating is the difficulty I have in using the clips. The gates are tiny (a mere 1/2 inch), so, even without gloves, it takes some concentration to attach items to the clips by their loops/nngs/straps. It is just too hard to get them past the finger or thumb I'm using to depress the gate in either direction, and the notch the gate fits into is so large that the attachment rings and loops want to get stuck in there instead of coming out the gate when I want to remove them. I'm goiling to cut the clip off one end end and replace it with a hook witn a larger, easier to operate gate. Except for the clips I'm very happy!

Very solid. A shorter closed position would be nice.

I use this for a very large dive slate - about 9 by 14 inches. Beach and rocky entries and exits can be hard on gear, but this lanyard seems more than strong enough to keep the slate safe. My one complaint is that this thing is about 10 inches long in the closed position. It would be much better at half the length to keep things close and streamlined until I need them.

Worked as advertised - exactly what I needed!

I purchased this as a back-up tether for my GoPRO, which I use with the head-strap that comes with it. The head-strap works great, but has a tendency to float off occasionally and I also wanted something to keep the camera attached to me when I am hand-holding it. The coil works great for both purposes. I clip one end to my BC and the other end to the wrist-strap of my GoPRO. Cable is plenty long enough to stay out of the while the camera is mounted on my head and also allows freedom of movement for hand-holding. All in all it was the perfect solution I was looking for!

Secure

Repeat purchase. So useful to secure scuba kit (compass, torch, rescue tool etc.), and the clip keeps the lanyard tidy, reducing the risk of getting caught up when diving. Highly recommended.

Excellent

Use this lanyard to attach to my gamebag and weight belt. It works really well and stays out of the way. I would buy it again but it seems like this is going to last for a long time.

Four Stars

I originally rated this five stars as it looked great but I hadn't used it yet. Although I've had the item two years, it has only been very lightly used on two dive trips. Recently I tried to use it and found that the metal piece that secures one of the clips to be missing. Plastic was not stressed or cracked but, without this part, the lanyard is useless. I contacted Scuba Choice and, while they were very quick to respond, they could not supply me with the tiny piece that would make this lanyard functional again. Instead I was offered a 20% discount to buy another one which I declined. Considering how quickly the original one failed, I did not wish to have almost double my original investment and have the same thing happen again. I'm very sorry to have to rate so low what would appear to be a nice product.

Great product with one flaw

I have used this for ~20 dives (salt water) to secure my gopro and light. The lanyard is well built and does the job, I really liked being able to just unbuckle and have the coil stretch so I can position the camera anywhere I liked, while when not in used just buckle it and it would be close enough to keep me streamlined. Why 3 stars? Well, the metal pieces of the snaps started to rust after the first few dives, even if I rinsed them in fresh water right after each dive. I guess at some point I'll just replace the snaps with regular carabiners, but I am very surprised why you would design a product for diving and not have rust free everything in it. Without this flaw this product would get 5 stars.

Solid. Well built. Very nice coil lanyard!

Very nice lanyard. The clips feel strong and feel like they will withstand some use/abuse. All of the hardware and stitching looks very solid. The coil is just about the right length for me - I've got pretty long arms and even with a camera attached, I can still fully extend my arm - I'm just about at the maximum length of coil, but that's perfect. The clip feels very sturdy and like it will last a long time as well. My only minor complaint is that the clip will be slightly hard to operate with diving gloves on. It's not enough of a complaint to knock off a star though. Nice enough, in my opinion, that I've bought 2.

Buena calidad

Su calidad es bastante buena, cada parte se ve y siente sólida, además de que aguanta bastante peso. Funciona bastante bien para lo que lo adquirí, lo cual es completamente diferente a su uso original, pero no dudo que para eso también haga un excelente trabajo.

Not as high-quality as I would like

Not as high-quality as I would like. The connections from the clips to the lanyard do not look strong enough to hold much weight so if you drop some thing like your camera in a current this may not hold it.
