Mine broke too
Like many have stated mine broke too. Its hard to get around the mouth piece and after the second dive it failed. The think the rubber needs to be softer. This was my third one. My first is still working fine and it about 4 years old. But they may have changed the manufacturing. I bought one this year and it has already been exchanged. The replacement also broke.

It’s a little tough
I like this and have already used it for my back up octo. The only issue is the rubber tip is made to be very hard so it can take a second to get the reg into the hole, BUT it still works for holding it and quick release. Already dove with it

The rubber needs to be softer or thinner; SHE'S TIGHT!!!! It's so hard to get onto/around the 2nd's mouthpiece that I just leave it attached to the reg and just unclip it from the BC. But if somebody needs to share air, it'll come off with a tug.

using this on one of my flashlights.
I am actually using this on one of my flashlights. The "rubber" ring on this item is quite stiff, but it works great for my flashlight, no chance of it slipping off.

Does the job, but doesn't last longer than a couple of dive trips
This is a functional octopus retainer that clips easily onto the BC and looks good, too. However, the loop on mine broke somewhere between my dive trips to Cozumel and Bonaire. I still like it enough, and its inexpensive, so I carry an extra one in reserve.

Too Stiff to Stretch Around Mouthpiece
I like the way this fits my BCD and is highly visible. The rubber ring is very stiff, however, and is very difficult to get it to stretch around my octopus mouthpiece. I may find another use for it, but pretty much useless as an octopus holder.

Fit perfectly though it was somewhat cumbersome.
This is a good snorkel keeper. I found the freeplay on my bcd was a distraction such that I stopped using it when using the bcd..
