One roll worked great second roll tab broke as if it wasn't attached properly.
First roll was easy to use and replaced super easy. Second roll the tab instantly came off in my hand and I hadn't even pulled on it? I went around and around the tape trying to find the right place to get it started. I never found a true opening. I used a sharp side of a very thin paring knife trying to locate the right spot. There was none. I suspect the reason the tab wasn't held was due to it was a bad roll to begin with. So I finally decided an area was the best looking place to open and at first it appeared to be working. I wrapped properly around the far roller that takes up the excess protective layer as it peels off the adhesive when it's laid down. And for about 18 inchs it was working great. Then not it was almost as if the tape was on the wrong side of the tape. I checked no it was right. HUH? Finally I cut the tape or adhesive that was bunching up and going on to wrap around the peeling reel and got it working again. It then worked well for a good 2/3's of the roll. Then it went to crap again. And no amount of fixing it would keep it working right for long. In the end I suspect I lost about a third of a roll of pretty expensive tape when you do the math. So I'm ordering two more rolls again but I'm worried this could happen again. This time when I put the tape roll on it I will carefully inspect how the tape tab pulls and starts the line onto the reels and rollers and onto the other pick up reel. How it actually and where it actually comes off the roll of tape right away while the red area of the feed is still running. However even if for future use I know how to make sure it starts if the tab ever fails again...it does not explain the other end well after it's run for over half the tape just fine went into a mess. I couldn't figure that out. I didn't hae a second spare at the time or I would have just pulled the mess up off and moved on. I went through two rolls so fast making my own version of 8.5" x 11" stiff magnetic sheets to hold large and groups of metal dies on then inserted into envelopes with three ring tabs on one side. (Anna Griffin sells similar and I have 5 sets of hers that size plus 2 or 3 of the 9x12 inch size magnetic sheets which are fantastic for holding all dies you are using during a period of time for numerous projects like Xmas time etc. Fall pumpkins and sayings is another. Anyway she never has the large 9x12 size in stock so I ended up looking to make my own. Turned out it was easier to make her 8.5 x 11 size and not punch the holes because I slip these into the 8.5"x11" clear envelopes sold here on Amazon in packs of 30 that also have an additional tab with holes punched for universal 3 ring binders. Oh my gosh those are fantastic. But to stiffen the Marietta magnets sold on Amazon I needed to glue to chip board and I used the white and it worked great. I used 30mm thick one sided magnetic sheets. Made sure each sheet was the magnetic side up and glued to the card stock. In the end I made 25 of my own version along with the 20 plus of Griffins I'm really re-organizing many of my dies and categories of dies. I have one note book of all nesting dies. So yes I choose sets of 6 half inch wide three ring note books which I've now ordered 3 sets of. Those are the ones with clear vinyl sleeves on the outside front and back spine that allow me to insert labels to ID the contents. Also I can color coordinate the categories to a degree too. So all pink might be Mom's day and Valentines or hearts etc. All Red would be Xmas, All Orange Fall and so forth. But not always specific. It's also cleared a number of my drawers and bins I store most of my 5x7 inch magnetic sheets in small 5x7 slightly larger clear velcro close envelopes. So I love it. But the amount of tape it takes to make these totally secure is HUGE. So I run through a roll in about 5-7 sheets taped together. And therefore I've ran through a lot of this tape. And it could be the one roll was a dud and I hope a rare one but shouldn't have happened either. So it gets a star loss for the bum product and a star loss for no means to recoup the loss either.

Adhesive is on the wrong side???
I thought the adhesive was on the wrong side but it's not. It only came off on the wrong side. If this happens to you, just make the adhesive stick to the inside part. I hope that helps others. I was leaving a bad review when nothing was wrong other than the adhesive simply attached to the wrong side when loading ????

Can’t find locally anymore
Dislike: one of the tape rolls was wound backwards, so it couldn’t be used. (Could it be replaced?) I have used this product for making cards for many, many years. Can’t find it at Hobby Lobby or Michaels now, so happy to find it online!

A Must Have for Papercrafting
I use my Scotch Adhesive Tape Gun (ATG) all the time for my papercrafting projects. This was not a bad price for the refills based on what I’ve seen on other websites. I’m thankful I’m able to get them at an affordable price. The tape holds very well, even on my chipboard albums.

Generally works great
Sometimes the tape starts off sticking to the wrong side of the release paper, but all you have to do is hold it down before it gets to the roller and it’ll stick. (There’s a YouTube video on how to do it, it’s really easy. ) Another problem is that sometimes on a brand new roll the little tab to start unrolling the release paper comes off and I have to cut through the side of release strip to make an end to stick in the slots on the second black wheel; the other thing is that sometimes the release strip folds back on itself and sticks to the incoming adhesive after it’s going back around past the first black wheel, which takes wasting some to get the adhesive down to the bottom roller of the gun. But I’ve tried cheaper brands and they’re generally crap that waste a lot more adhesive.

When it's good, it's very very good, but when it's bad....
Works great when the adhesive is on both sides! I have had multiple orders that only had adhesive on one side, which makes it impossible to use in the tape gun. I use it in my card business, so when the product is defective, it really hurts my business. I have not been able to get any response from SCOTCH about these problems. As with previous product problems, both rolls of tape were single sided adhesive.

Long Lasting - Great Hold
I’ve been making cards for family and friends for years. I used to blog too, and several years ago I learned from a fellow blogger about the Scotch Advanced Tape Glider (ATG). I purchased one, and have been using it ever since. These Scotch 085-R ATG Advanced Tape Glider Refill Rolls are great. They are 1/4-Inch by 36-Yard, and there are 2-Rolls/Box, so that should give me plenty of adhesive to make a plethora of cards. The tape is quite strong, so it doesn’t take a whole lot to layer up my card designs. For these reasons, I highly recommend it.

Good tape and does the job.
As a retired picture framer, l am used to using 1/2” atg tape so l find this 1/4” tape a little difficult but it still does the job. Would buy the 1/2” tape if available.

Good tape, far too expensive
I love using my ATG gun because it saves me so much time from having to trim double sided tape and peel the back off it all the time when I am making cards. This tape is really sticky, it can be used for keepsakes and albums and they won't come apart. Make sure you place things right where you want them to go as once they are down they are not coming back up easily. My only criticism is that I wish the refills were more readily available in the UK and as such they really are overpriced in my opinion when you do find them. Create and Craft sell the refils at a better price than Amazon but will add £4.99 to deliver them so buying from Amazon is the best deal I have found if you don't want to wait for them to be shipped from the States. I would recommend but at the same time because the refills are so expensive it puts me off using it a lot of the time and I still use cheaper double sided tape too, which kind of defeats the purpose of having the ATG gun in the first place but it would bankrupt me if all I used was that...

Twice received bad tapes.
Use for Scrapbooking Price is good. Have in the past received 2 rolls( different orders) that were a factory error in that I couldn’t put it on the tape dispenser as they had been wound wrong. Two other people tried putting them on the dispenser and ran into the same problem. Contacted Scotch Brand company but was ignored.
