Green Tag…You Know The Deal
Purchased these for my boyfriend because he “needs” the green tag on his shoes as a carrier. They fit as expected, but he found they took a bit to break in. If you have a walking route, definitely break them in on off hours a few days before use. As for the longevity, our guess is about 6-8 months, but that is much longer than the pair purchased previously for the job (which lasted all but 4 and were definitely not safe for use by then). Seem to be well built. I’ll update the review after a few months of wear.

Excellent shoe for Postal Carrier
Love these shoes! I carry mail all day long and these shoes are holding up very well! I did switch out the insoles for better arch support. Make sure you break these shoes in before you start walking long distances and you're pretty much good to go! I will be buying these again and again. Rocky puts out a great shoe and they are made in America!

More than worth the money!
I have a job that keeps me on my feet all day. When I got into my 30s, my feet started letting me know that I had to buy good shoes, and that my days of cheap K-Mart shoes had hurt me. I had developed a case of plantar fascitis that left me on some days almost unable to stand, let alone walk. I truly thought I had a serious problem on my hands. A friend who's a postmaster suggested purchasing postal certified shoes. It was a very positive life-changing moment. I've purchased Bates postal oxfords for the past 10 years. They're not cheap, but they fit, and with a good arch-support orthotic, I have absolutely no problems with them. My only complaint with the Bates oxfords is the price. When my local supplier didn't have the Bates oxfords in my size, I decided to try to purchase them from Amazon. These popped up as an alternate, and at half the price, I decided to try them. It was a wonderful decision. These shoes fit well and have worn well for the three months or so that I've been using them to date. They do NOT require an arch-support orthotic for me to wear them comfortably, which is a very big surprise. They have a very generous toe box, and my heel stays planted inside the shoes, unlike some of the Bates shoes that I've had over time. The aggressive lugs look great and have gotten more than a fair share of positive comments from people that I would have never expected ever looked at my shoes. My only complaints are that the laces tend to untie by themselves a bit more than other brands that I've worn, and that the soles squeak just a tiny bit on the cheap "school-safe" wax that my employer now uses - note that they squeak only a tiny little bit, and not as bad as other shoes that I've had or heard.

Listing title wrong, got the desired "Rocky TMC Postal-Approved Public Service Shoes"
Product listing is seriously messed up. First, the shoe is not a "Mid Calf Boot". Second, FQ0005005 is for the ankle high CHUKKA BOOTS which the listing will show pictures of at the bottom if no size is selected which will be different than the pictures at the top. The item model number in "Product Details" IS correct ( ‎FQ0005001). Once put in your cart, it will be called a "Rocky Duty Men's TMC Athletic Oxford" which is confusing because there is actually a Rocky Postal shoe called a "911 Athletic Oxford" (see manufacturer website) and the official website name for this shoe does not have "Athletic" in its name. I got the shoes I wanted and I am happy with them.

Best Made in USA Athletic shoes so far!
This shoe fits as expected, BUT it was tight at first. Personally I think the opening of the shoe is a little bit big, as if I need big heels. Maybe these shoes are simply a little to long for me, but considering how a fingers thickness behind my heel is tight, I still think the opening hole is a little to big. I simply tighten the laces when I want to run, like for exercising at a park and loosen them when I don't. Oh and I replaced those skinny laces with normal ones. ANYWAYS these shoes feel as comfortable as the MADE IN USA New Balance Athletic shoes I owned in the past which were 10.5 4E these Rockys here are 10.5EW that I have. By the way it did say on the box and on the shoe that they are made in the USA. Actually it says "SR/USA" on the top and "Made in USA" on the bottom. -These shoes seem to be built very sturdy, the uppers are leather and sturdy and the bottom sole of the shoe seems to be strong and solid unlike most other athletic shoes, even New Balance. I wish these Rocky shoes came in other colors than black.

Very Comfortable, but...
I had to return these shoes for a number of reasons. the first reason was that I had severe heal slip on my left shoe only. The lace holes doe not allow for any type of alternate lacing pattern to prevent heel slipping. This is unfortunate that they do not have an additional eyelet. The second reason is because the laces are very poor. They easily become undone and look very flimsy. I would double tie them if they were long enough, but unfortunate they were very short. As far as comfort goes, they are top notch. They feel very good to walk on concrete and over moderate terrain. You dont feel yourself stepping on small rocks or cracks easily. I had to return these because of the above mentioned issues. However, I did like them enough to find a store that sold them locally. I tried on the same pair/size and found that this pair did not suffer from heel slip. So I ended up buying them locally and slapped on a pair of my own laces.

Do NOT Buy This Shoe
After two weeks of wearing this shoe, the sole delaminated -- came off -- the upper part of the shoe, as shown in the picture. The shoes also squeaked with each step. The laces are as thin as fishing line and too short to tie. I had to buy regular laces. These shoes also are very heavy and clunky, compared to the Brooks Walkers I have been wearing for years. The manufacturer, "Rocky," did not respond to my messages. Fortunately, Amazon remedied the situation.
