Great piece of furniture

Love this brand, I have several pieces from them now. This was the most difficult to put together due to the drawers, but the directions are pretty clear. Good value for the price.

LOTS OF ASSEMBLY REQUIRED

If you are handy, have critical thinking skills and some tools, this is the dresser for you. My husband assembled this dresser in an afternoon. He had to re-drill a set of holes that were misaligned. This is an IKEA-level build, completely from scratch, with minor adjustments (possibly) needed. That said, this dresser is GORGEOUS. It really is a beautiful piece and I’m very happy with the look and size!

Beautiful dresser

Alright, so this is about to be a long review. I ordered this dresser and it was about a week long delivery process, with prime. That’s fine, it’s obviously a heavy package, it’ll take some time to be delivered. When the dresser was shipped and supposed to be delivered, the company delivering it said Amazon, and not my normal carrier company. The dresser arrived first thing in the morning, and I was still asleep. I woke up and found a large box outside. I carried it in, and noticed immediately printed on the outside of the box it said “cart 1/2”. I was supposed to have a second box, but it was nowhere to be found. As I was in the process of reaching out to Amazon, a girl from a nearby city found me on social media and said “Hey!! Did you order a dresser? It arrived to my address.” The amazon delivery person delivered half of my dresser to me, and the other half to a person in a different city with the same address. (IT STATED ON THE BOXES THE TWO SHOULD GO TOGETHER!!!) I talked to 6 different amazon reps for over an hour, 5 of them told me that I was wrong and that I should’ve only received one box. After that irritating experience, I explained that I was going to go and pick up the other half of my dresser myself, and I was refunded $25 for my time lol. This was on Amazon’s end, and the 4 stars has nothing to do with the actual dresser. As for the dresser, I love it. It’s easy to assemble, and looks beautiful in my bedroom. I plan on ordering the smaller dresser (through the actual company, not dealing with Amazon’s error again). I’ve seen many reviews where people are complaining about how how their dresser wasn’t put together correctly because of manufacturer error, but I honestly believe it was just user error. Putting this dresser together definitely requires two people, patience, and experience in putting furniture together. As for the “cheap materials”, it’s a large dresser for a fair price. You’re not going to get real wood for this price. I would recommend this dresser to anyone, and I’m only giving it 4 stars because of my unfortunate experience with amazon itself. If you find yourself in the same shoes as me and receive half a dresser, stand your ground and talk to as many people as possible to get what you need. 5 people told me I only should’ve received one box, when in the end I was right and it comes with 2 boxes.

Assembled by an incompetent

I am mechanically inept, so I was reluctant to buy a dresser that required complete assembly. But the reviews said it was easy, and I wanted the flexibility to buy a dresser that exactly fit the space available, which this did. The instructions are indeed very good, and I watched their videos over and over. It took a couple of days, but I got everything pretty much perfect on the first try . . . until I tried to insert the drawers. I only got two out of six initially. They think their rail glide system is so simple, but I think I found about six different ways to put them in incorrectly. Two jammed, requiring me to yank them out, which broke them. Their customer service is incredible, and they sent me free replacement parts overnight. After considerable effort, I have all six gliding smoothly. It looks beautiful. What will happen when my autistic kid yanks them out? That's anybody's guess.

Cardboard back ????????‍♀️

Ok so the dresser itself is pretty good and sturdy so far. I’m still working on assembly and being a beginner I’m taking my time. There is definitely a lot of assembly, but I expected that. Then I get to the back piece and I’m looking around and I can’t find it. I’m thinking they forgot to put it in my pack when I realize it’s cardboard! I left it in the box because I thought it was trash! Geez people! Would it kill you to make a back even out of cheap wood? Not a fan ???????? I prob wouldn’t buy it again because of that if I knew ahead of time. Cheap!

Always top quality from Sauder

It definitely takes some time to assemble but the instructions are very well done and the craftsmanship for having sturdy furniture is the best I’ve seen from any DIY furniture manufacturer.
