Watercolor crayons are great

I received my set today, I painted this immediately. I'm just a beginner but I think it's good. Crayons were wonderful. Easy to use. Vivid colors. Will buy again.

You will love this set.

I bought this for my niece for a Christmas gifts and she has been raving about this set. She's made half a dozen pictures and the quality of the watercolor crayons is very good. I am considering a set for me too!

These are a lot of fun !

I’ve enjoyed these crayons. I used them here along side my neocolor 2 from caran dache to really compare them. The Sargent feel like you when you may have used a really hard, dry oil pastel ? Lol but not in a crappy way ???????? they actually are quite fun and creamy, you just have to press down harder in my opinion. Some are harder than others. I ordered mine gently used and they were pretty much perfect! Just one was broken at the tip. I would recommend these for students, or folks like me who enjoy water soluble wax pastels, and water soluble oil pastels, they’re not bad at all ! My first photo with the pink flowers I used both neocolor 2 and sargent together on top of a base of markers. Second one with the orange is all sargent ! Hope I can help someone.

AWFUL

They are hard to activate, the color is so light it disappears. If I try to do a second layer it clumps and rups the paper. The crayons keep breaking. Worst purchase. And I can't get in contact with the manufacturer which is what Amazon's policy is now since it's been past 30 days of purchase.

Just for fun

So, I love my Neocolor II. I was curious about these. These are decent. They are more student grade, but if you are looking to practice and the pieces you create are not going to be subjected to a lot of light, (instead maybe in an art journal), these will work for you. They are very reasonably priced and fun to use.

Lovely!

I have always loved watercolor, but I also love the rough texture of crayons. I honestly couldn't tell you the physics of how watercolor crayons are possible, but here they are. AND I AM IN LOVE. No mixing paints to get just the right color.... And they blend so well! If you're looking do do more fine, detailed work, maybe use watercolor pencils, but if you are okay with something a little thicker, here's your answer. :)

Student grade but surprisingly good

I purchased these inexpensive crayons to see if this medium would be a valuable addition to my art-making. Though not “artist quality,” I found them easy and satisfying to work with. Instead of “trading up” to a pricey set of watercolor crayons, I may just pick up a few different pro grade colors to augment this set.

Great set for watercoloring.

I absolutely love using these. They are easy to work with and the results are beautiful. I used them on 140 lb watercolor paper that I printed floral pictures on. All of the individuals I work with at a day program were able to use them and get great results. Would highly recommend them. I also use them to water color images when I make stamped cards. I also pick up color off the top of the crayon with my wet brush when I want more control or color and saturation.

Wonderful quality watercolour crayons. The best! Having loads of fun with it. Not very good for painting backgrounds, but you can use regular watercolours if you need to fill a large area of colour. Unbeatable for detail work.

Large range of colours, tricky if you are a beginner.

Need to be sharpened to get close detail and definitely take practice, but such an neat medium to experiment with. The colour is vibrant, works better putting it on paper then using a wet brush.

Sargent Art Watercoloor Crayons

Am very pleased with the quality of Crayons, they came in good contision, 1 tip was broken off but it is still useable, I will be re-ordering when I run out.
