Missing pieces

Beautiful product..came on time ..the instructions show a wall plate for the shower spout and other spout but they aren't in the box..hopefully I can get the pieces sent to me because it definitely looks weird right now Update" the pieces were in the box the entire time. My apologies. Update after 1 year 1/9/22 **** I'm alittle bothered by the bathtub shower diverter button it doesn't seem to work properly and is now out of order...I can't take a bath because the button doesn't work...hopefully I can but the button separately because this set is way to much money to replace

Lefty tighty, righty loosy

My one problem with the design of this faucet is that you turn it clockwise for on and counter-clockwise for off, which is completely the opposite of what you would expect (lefty loosy, righty tighty). I have no idea why Kohler would design it that way. It makes me mad every time I turn it on. I was also a little disappointed in the color. Based on the photo, I expected more of a champagne gold, but in reality it is much more of a bright yellow gold. And according to my plumber, it was really hard to install and they had to drill larger holes in the shower wall to make it fit. But I wasn't there to see the process so not sure if they are exaggerating.

A little disappointed...

I have bought many Kohler products over the years, but as with all companies-their quality is slipping. I have several pieces in the Purist line and it's true, many of the pieces are of heavy, well-machined solid brass. No question on this set, both spouts (the tub filler and shower arm) are high quality. When you spend this kind of money though, you want ALL the pieces to be top notch and they unfortunately are not. The center of the shower head is clearly plastic, and a low grade one at that. All the trim pieces, although metal, are very thin. Only the handles and spouts are the quality you would expect when spending this kind of money. Other pieces from this line that I have are all heavy brass. Why they dropped the ball on this one, I do not know. I would steer clear at this price point. Is it the best you can get out there? Perhaps it is compared to the all plastic out there from other companies, but still, if some components are plastic, at least let the price reflect it. I will post close-ups of the plastic and thin-walled metal once it's installed.

Perfect fit in a modern or transitional space.

The entire Kohler Purist line is beautiful and well-made. You will not be disappointed with the finish or the build quality. Some have complained about the water flow of the tub filler, and in my experience, it does a fine job. I rated this product as a 4 vs 5 as I still feel as though the price is a bit inflated given the rest of the market and comparable pieces.

Beautiful trim piece

Beautiful trim piece, without question. The problem is that I purchased this item during a renovation and the allowable return date window has closed. The arm of the shower head has severe vice grip marks in it. I assumed that because the box it came in was new and unopened I was purchasing a new item. Unfortunately it is not new. It's damaged. My Plummer says that he sees this all the time from Amazon.

Nice shower trim - BUT...

Beautiful shower trim, nicely constructed, very sleek looking - BUT I purchased two of these and they both had noticeable scratches that were part of the manufacturing process. It looks like they chromed right over the scratches. They were both packaged very safely and arrived in undamaged and unopened boxes but the scratches were very visible. Not even close to acceptable. They were both sent back for a refund. I am buying replacement trim because I like the look and because I have committed to this trim since the shower valves are already in the walls and the tile is finished.

Exactly the level of quality and finish I now expect from Kohler, every piece is metal and feels solid, Kohler warranty and support is top notch.
