Let’s clear things up, shall we?
I am reading a lot of reviews stating that these are not airtight. Guess what? They’re not SUPPOSED to be. They’re COMMERCIAL ingredient bins! Which means in a commercial food production business, you go through quantities before they have a chance to sit around and spoil. What you want and need is easy access and the ability to close them so other ingredients or anything else can’t contaminate what’s in the bins. Also read mentions of pests or insects, because they’re not “airtight”. Well, a commercial kitchen is (supposed) to be cleaned and sanitized DAILY and they have pest control service. Both of these help keep pests at bay. If you only use certain ingredients occasionally buy airtight containers for the home. Don’t buy these because you think owning “commercial” containers is cooler. Two completely different applications. I’ve only given these 4 stars because the proportions were not well thought out. 99% of things made here in the US are measured Imperially (inches/even numbers) so you cannot fit 4 of these side-by-side on a standard 48 inch shelving unit. That’s annoying. Other than that, they are easy to use and clean. Simple to rotate your ingredients- tilt bin forward to shift contents, lift top of bin, fill newer in the back, replace top. Simple. Dishwasher safe on “Normal.” They’re good!

Holds A Lot
I like these Rubbermaid food storage bins, but I wish there was some kind of seal like a silicone gasket or something, to prevent anything from dripping inside (I store mine beneath my prep table, so I'm always worried a spill will get into the bin).

Expensive but fantastic!
We are a family of 7. My mom purchased 4 of these 100 cup ingredient bins. Fits about a 50lb bag of rice, 25 pounds of flour, and about 50lb of sugar. They come with a divider that helps rotate ingredients. The new sits higher and drops down as the old is used. After trying everything from 5 gallon buckets to fancy ingredient bins that almost looked like trash cans from simple human and difficult to open, these were the best purchase. Items are not kept airtight, so if you are wanting something airtight then these are not for you. With our family size and the amount of baking we do these are perfect. Ingredients are easily accessible, this slides under our work table with ease and they can be stacked. There are also 40 cup bins just like these for smaller families. I can also see this working for pet food, but because I can imagine a dog figuring out how to open it, it should be kept away from the pets.

Great commerical kitchen container
I was looking for a sturdy container to hold my dog's food. It almost holds a 40 lb. Of dog food. Because it is commercial grade kitchen container it keeps the mice out of it. I love how the lid slides and tips. The only thing I don't like is it not airtight. So good thing my dog eats alot (100 lb dog). This would be more like a rice/flour/sugar container for quick and easy access.

Do NOT buy this to store flour
I knew from the reviews that product this was not airtight, but I was taken in by the photos of this being used in a restaurant setting, so I did expect it to at least seal in some way. It does not. At all. I bought this to store large quantities of flour. There is NO WAY this should be used to store flour or sugar for that matter. When the sliding plastic cover is in place, there are enormous gaps, easily large enough for small insects to get in. For this reason I can't imagine frankly why you would store any food in them meant for human consumption. DO NOT buy this for that reason. On the plus side they are very sturdily built and I like the scoop, so I gave it 2 stars. I have given it to my husband to store his birdseed in it instead. I don't think birds are fussy about insects. Instead of this I bought two Komax Biokips Extra Large Food airtight Storage Containers which contain 48.6-Cups each and which are also a more convenient size for storing in a pantry off the floor.

Just what we needed!
My family purchased this to hold rice and it is great, keeps our rice fresh! Looks very nice and holds pretty much a full bag of rice. I recommend this to anyone who is looking to store food, but can also be used to store other products as well!

Exactly what I have been looking for!
I love this container! I am using it for my flour. I don't have a pantry but this fits right in my kitchen cabinet. When I need flour, I don't even have to take it out of the cabinet. I just open the cabinet door, slide the bin door open and use the 1/2 cup scoop that comes with the bin to measure out my flour into my bowl. I like that it has a big opening so if I want to use a bigger measuring scoop I can. I have been looking for something like this for a while. Highly recommend!

Expensive, but very sturdy. The lid does not seal shut...it lightly closes. Other reviewers said it fits 25lbs of flour, i could only fit approx 8kg (17-18lbs), so the big 10kg bag of flour I bought from Costco, does not fit. But easily fit 10kg of basmati rice with room to spare. I love the way they stack. The lid seems a bit finicky, but may need getting used to. I would have preferred them to hold a bit more and if I bought them from a store, i probably would have taken them back for something cheaper.

Smaller than expected
This product suggests it can hold 40 cups, but it doesn't. Unless my measuring cup is not actually a cup. It's a quality product and I do like Rubbermaid products, but this is just not the right size for me

Good design, good lid
Good design, good lid, good build, only if it can be a bit cheaper and more availability. I wanted to buy a second one but it's not available from Amazon anymore. I use it in my store for a 50kg bag of powder, works great.
