Great as produce-keepers, sturdy unbreakable, keeps fridge clean, easy to clean

Gastronorm 1/3 x 6. For much less than the price of Rubbermaid FreshWorks these meet my fresh produce storage needs. Excellent for any fridge but especially handy for smaller ones with only one crisper as it is important to store certain produce separately. When used with the standard lid the produce can breath due to the loose vapor seal. Produce stays noticeably fresher crisper longer. Easy access with no fuss latching or pressing on lids. I used the Webstaurant page for dimensions and volumes to find what I needed. For best use of available space buy the largest size that will fit on a shelf and can be removed and handled easily. Store whatever inside along with the produce to make use of space. Three of the 1/3's for example do not have the same volume a one full or two 1/2's due to the lip and being a bit narrower at the bottom. 1/3 x 6 or 8 is great for leafy green bunches, celery, carrots.

Not exactly what I was thinking

I think it's the same dimensions as I bought, but I just thought it would be smaller. There is a lip around the top. Not a problem, but again just something I wasn't aware of / didnt think of when purchasing. But it does it's duty as a litter box for my rabbit, and so for that I am grateful. I may end up moving it outside his cage though

well made poor design

The lid has a couple of design items that I didn't like: They are a little too loose fitting. They don't stack. The molded handle intrudes into the canister you are covering. If you are using these as a temp cover just for the table there fine. but if your using them for refrig storage then you better have a couple of #33 rubber bands to hold them in place. One other note, mine were packed and shipped by amazon barely, covers were not rapped individually. They were put into an oversized box with a ball of paper on top which did nothing to protect them NO STARS. Its ashame that you can't rate any of amazon practices, but they really don't seem to care what we feel about how they do their job

Great for sensory bins

My 19 month old son is autistic and has high sensory needs. We can fill this with rainbow rice, water beads, and various other materials and put it on his light up sensory table for him to play with. It was a little expensive, but definitely worth the investment. It has been dropped multiple times from 3-5ft and has not sustained any damage.

Poker chip drop

Built two “L” slides out of plywood. Then I Slide under my poker table for chip drop. Works great!

It's a good quality, kitchen grade insert.

Anyone who knows inserts, knows that they are super handy around the kitchen. I use mine for holding all my spices, seasonings and ingredients as I move in and out the house as I cook outside mostly, but for food holding and fridge duty, this insert is better than expected, easy to clean and will hold up for many years as long as you don't bang it around too much. Would buy again and again.

Works great as a cooler tray.

This might seem like a strange use, but the official Coleman cooler trays are outrageously expensive if you can even find them. This food service tray is the PERFECT size if you want to add a way to keep stuff cool but not submerged. The only cooler I have tried it with is the Coleman 52qt Xtreme cooler, but measure and check because I feel like a lot of them are pretty close in terms of width. I actually drilled a few holes in the bottom of mine so that I could put some ice in there and have it drain as it melts. That might be a good idea depending on your use case, but as far as I can tell it doesn't change the strength of the tub in any way.

fantastic container used same brand for 9 month and no problem.. Always make sure you buy the dark amber not light amber color container for high heat oven and micro use.. the light Amber color also made for high heat, but the quality is bad after use it few month inh bubbles will appear on side and bottom of the container.

Perfect to keep items warm in

Bought as serving trays for family meals (large family of 8!) And they do the job as expected. Perfect to keep items warm in, and to serve at the table, also for storing leftovers in for a later use. Have washed in the dishwasher and they remain as new. Purchased the lids also for a great food storage combination

Good for defrosting food. Nice look and feel

Good for defrosting food, or for draining solid or mostly solid food such as salad, veg or fruit. I received a different style from the one in the advert photo - mine has elliptical drain holes each measuring 1cm x 0.5cm nett. It'll fit containers depending on size/shape but best fits a 1/2 Gastronorm. The drain grid stands 1.5cm high. This items and others like it are in use throughout the catering industry (among other places) thus has been designed for heavy duty use, so it's strong and sturdy. It's made of polycarbonate which is almost unbreakable. Looks nicely curvy, is shiny, it's surface is smooth all over. Care instructions are integrally moulded for ease of reference. Dishwasher-safe. Use between -40 and 100 degrees Celsius.

Great sous vide container

Bought this as my large sous vide container. Really pleased so far. Don't forget the lid which you have to buy separately.
