So many uses for this, it should be a household staple!

I love this stuff. It adheres well, cuts easily (although if you try to do something really, really tiny, it will crumble) Good protection for furniture surfaces. Lots and lots of uses.

Covers easily

Adhesive works to hold down this cork even at corners. Thickness of the cork adds to wearability while still being flexible enough to unroll and lay flat. Stops pans from skidding when drawers open and close and mutes sounds of anything being placed on it.

NOT THICK ENOUGH FOR THUMBTACKS

I love the ease of use, and I’ll just say it. This is not what you think it is. Without reading thoroughly, I thought this was a roll of cork board that would be used for thumbtacks. But it is not, thick as 2 credit cards, what I needed it for. If you are ordering this for that type of thought, I recommend “sticky tack” or a putty my loctite to tack pictures and what not to it as I did. Looks clean and organized when used with the putty and all. Putty does not pierce the photos if that’s your thing too. Love it. I had cut my roll into two pieces of 24” or 61cm each and made two for a corner in my office. Although peeling off the backing of about a quarter of one of my pieces peeled off the sticky back and was unable to use a large chunk of this as it is impossible to stick back. The double sided adhesive is super thin and unable to re-attach. As it comes in a roll the backing was rippled from either sitting too long as a roll or was once a flat piece and forced into a roll and made wrinkles on the backing. Advise laying out on a table with weight as you would a rug to have it level out and uncurl itself naturally.

Cork dust

I don't like the cork dust it produces after cutting it.

Yay, things stay in place!

We've had other non-adhesive shelf liners to keep items in place in our drawers. However, the liners themselves slid around. Kind of defeats the purpose, right? Anyway, we tried this and there is no more sliding of the liner or the items in the drawer. Everything we wanted all along. I never thought of Con-tact as more than a shelf liner to make things pretty or just cover worn shelves. If you want something to put in your drawers, the ones you use MOST frequently, where things keep shifting, this really is the product for you. Pull the drawers open quickly. Slam them shut. You know, the way the rest of the family will treat the drawers. Your items will be safe. We will be ordering more.

Useful product, but old roll

I bought this to line utensil drawers in the kitchen, and it's perfect for this. My only negative comment is not really about the product itself, but rather the fact that the roll I received was obviously rather old as it felt more brittle than it should have and I found it difficult to remove the backing from the adhesive edge. With one piece, the cork edge crumbled part of the way along the edge (I was only removing a 1 inch wide strip of backing to anchor one end), as it remained stuck to the backing for no apparent reason. I used a new box cutter blade and straight edge to cut it and there was significant powdery cork on the surface afterwards--something I've never seen before. I've been using various thicknesses of cork for decades and am familiar with its qualities. Otherwise, I am satisfied with it. It might not have been suitable for some types of craft projects where the brittleness could easily be an issue.

Great to line flatware & kitchen "junk" drawers

I was searching for beige or tan Con-Tact paper to spruce up my flatware drawer's organizers when I happened upon this cork Con-Tact paper. I used Clorox CleanUp and baking soda to remove any black marks left on the plastic by the flatware, and Goo Gone On the Go (an excellent applicator!) to remove any tape residue from taping in cardboard dividers years ago to make smaller compartments in the longer ones. Btw, that cardboard placed at the ends also protects the plastic from being damaged by tines and knives striking it when the drawer is closed. Since I was at it I refined my years-ago work around for falling over flatware—that's crumpled aluminum foil between the stacks—by covering Styrofoam w/the foil instead. I had intended to merely use a long Styrofoam block for each but the piece in my stash (DIYers save things that might come in handy,) that had had a circular piece cut out of it for another project, had long and narrow sides which perfectly lent themselves to snuggling up between the stacks. I probably wouldn't have thought of that otherwise. After lining the bottoms I again made dividers, covering some of them w/cork on both sides and am very pleased with the overall results. What's more it will be very easy to change the cork in the future since I took the advice of another reviewer and lined the cork w/thin cardboard before placing it inside the individual compartments.

Perfect for Nautical Theme Cabinet

The cork finish is absolutely authentic. Not a photograph - it's the real deal. Love it. Simple to install and can be repositioned (believe me I had to reposition it a few times before I got it right). Trims easily with a sharp knife. I sanded the edges once it was installed to smooth out the roughness from cutting it to size. I'm using it on a bathroom cabinet top that I'm refinishing. Love it - perfect solution to a problem area (great for dampness - like in a bathroom. Very satisfied with this purchase.

Thin cork with a good bond

First attempt at purchase failed. Second attempt arrived a couple days early. It's thin and sticks well, which is exactly what I wanted as I used it for the bottom of coasters. The paper backing also has a handy grid

Perfect for lining shelves !

Great product! I used it to line and protect my Shelf, so I can put my plants on it without worry about water damage underneath. It’s easy to use, and perfect! It is quite thin, so be aware of that. However it worked perfectly for what I wanted it to. It cut easy, was easy to assemble & easy to clean.

Great deal

Used this to line all my drawers (pot, pantry, silverware,etc) and makes a big difference when opening and closing as items, including organizing trays, do not slide about. Easy to wipe down if you spill something and dry out perfectly if you don’t catch a spill immediately (takes quite some time to actually absorb liquid). No odd smells and easy to install - cut to size, peel and stick. Rule lines on the peel off backing make it easier to cut straight once you’ve got your measurements. Now my mom is using the same product to do her kitchen that she’s seen mine :)

excellent liner

This is thin for using as a liner - not for making a cork bulletin board. I wanted it for lining an embroidery clamp, not a typical use, but it's perfect - my q-snap frame was slipping and this provided extra grip and looks very neat and tidy.
