Good Value
I purchased an all black set nearly ten years ago. This set has held up wonderfully but finally became unusable this year. Due to how good the previous set was, I decided to purchase a similar set in a different color way. While the exterior looks essentially the same, there are some marked differences between the old set and this set. The updated wheels are much smoother but the larger footprint makes me worry about longevity. As for the interior, materials seem thinner and a touch weaker. I get the feeling that this set will not enjoy as long a life as my previous set. Time will tell but definitely worried.

They set is beautiful and seems sturdy
I’m scared about all the reviews I read about the wheels falling off but giving it a chance .. seems like a good luggage so far from unboxing

Do not overstuff this one
It works great, but do not come close to overstuffing in, the inner lining will start to rip. Other than that this is a solid suitcase choice.

Nice suitcase
Very nice, sturdy and roomy. The only thing that would make it better is if it came with a lock. Color is exactly as pictured.

Great So far!
I'm a a real woman and I'm gonna give you a real review. I am am middle aged, middle class, mid American busy wife and mom and I don't have time or money to waste on inferior products. I ordered the Rockland Melbourne Hardside Expandable luggage set of 3 in Turquoise. The product arrived today with in just 2 days of placing my order. It came in a huge box which was kind of beat up so I was a bit worried. Upon opening it the large suite case was wrapped in a plastic bag taped shut and the other two pieces were nested inside of each other and also wrapped in plastic bags. All 3 pieces had sales tags attached. I opened each piece and checked thoroughly for any damage. It all looks great. No scratches, no dents, no tears, all zippers worked great and the interior lining was all attached well. I checked that all the wheels were attached well and that they all moved freely. There is a very slight smell , like one of those inflatable pool toys, but very faint. The color is true to the picture, a very bright Turquoise Blue. I have not used the luggage yet so it still remains to be seen how well it will hold up during travel but for this price this is a steal of a deal so far.

Great set for the price!
**Note, my rating is a cautious 4 stars as I haven't used the luggage yet. I purchased this set as a Christmas present for my mom to use for a trip to Egypt next spring, after reading most of the 2015 and 2016 reviews. The reviews here and on other sites for the same set are mostly positive for durability and my mom only flies once or twice a year. I'll update after our trip. The review is very long, but I wanted to be thorough and try to answer most of the questions I saw posted to help you decide if this set would fit your needs. I travel extensively for work (45-50 weeks per year) and I own TravelPro luggage, which is the same brand many flight attendants and pilots use. It's super durable, but crazy expensive. I originally purchased the American Tourister Pop Plus three piece luggage set in purple (available on Amazon for $134.99) because I thought a soft sided set would be more durable, but when I got them, they seemed really cheaply made and flimsy, so I sent them back. My mother prefers hard sided luggage, so I looked for a set with really good reviews on durability that wouldn't break the bank. This set met both criteria and came in a really fun purple. COLOR My mom loves purple and I thought the unusual color would make them easy to spot on the luggage carousel. The color is a pretty deep purple, leaning a little more toward plum than the picture (at least on my monitor) depicts, but it's close. The wheels, zippers and handles are black and the retractable pull bar is a sort of rose colored aluminum with a black plastic hand grip. The interior lining is grey nylon with white polka dots. There is also a grey mesh that zips to section off one side of the "shell" with elastic straps to hold down items on the other side. MATERIALS The outer shell of the cases is made of a plastic-like polycarbonate material that is very lightweight, as advertised, and VERY thin. When I opened up the package, I was dismayed at how thin and light these cases seem, however, I'm hoping that the reviews are accurate and these cases will hold up to airline mis-handling. The zippers and lining do not look terribly well made, but I would say it seems pretty good for the price. The 360 degree spinner wheels roll smoothly and seem to work as advertised. When fully extended the handle on the smallest case feels pretty flimsy, even with it empty, and another reviewer reported that after a couple of years, her handle bent, making it difficult to push it back down. However, this was after several uses. I can live with that. SPECS The measurements are as advertised (I measured), except that the wheels add approximately 2 inches (I don't know the cm conversion, sorry) to the length. The handles on all three cases retract into a molded cavity inside the bag, which should protect them from most damage in transit. On the smallest, carry-on sized bag, the pull bar telescopes to approximately twice the length of that on the larger two bags, as can be seen in the product picture. Meaning, you press the release button on the hand grip and the handle snaps out to a short length and you have to press the button again to get it to fully extend so you aren't bending over to pull the bag. Each case also has an inside, zippered pocket; a mesh flap that zips closed and bisects the case and stretchy straps with a hook closure to hold folded clothes or other items in place. The cases are VERY, VERY light, also as advertised. In fact, when the cases are unzipped, the sides bend and flex pretty easily. As I mentioned, I'm a little worried about them standing up to modern air travel, but time will tell. The cases nest, meaning the 20-inch fits inside the 24-inch which fits inside the 28-inch. They are shipped like this and with all three cases the box was still light enough for me to move on my own (I'm a not overly athletic 40-something woman) without a hand truck or dolly. These aspects, I believe, are designed to afford you as much weight as possible for your stuff without paying an airline overweight fee, and make the cases easy to ship and store when not in use. Right now, I still have them in the shipping box. BONUS My set came with three small combination locks. While these are a nice idea, since they are not TSA approved, you can't use them on checked luggage. However, they would be perfectly acceptable for your carry-on, or to use in your hotel room, although I cannot conceive of a scenario where TSA approved locks wouldn't work in these situations. Overall, I think this set was a phenomenal deal at $116.61, which is what I paid on 10/13/16. I can't wait to see how they perform in use.

Nice looking and functional
I purchased for my son who’s in college & travels frequently so we needed some inexpensive, but nice looking & functional for him to use. The luggage rolls with ease even when stuffed. Looks very nice!

Not bad but not durable
Overall, it's a fine set of luggage. I recently needed new luggage last minute for an international trip. The price for this set was great and I love the color (super easy to spot my luggage at baggage claim!). The wheels made getting around the airport super easy. The hard case wasn't heavy and kept my items well protected (nothing broke!) My only issue was that after one trip, the handle on the large luggage broke and another piece on it broke off. So maybe a good set of luggage for once or twice (which seems pretty wasteful). However, if you need something affordable for a long trip, this did the trick.

Beautiful suitcases! Great value for the money
The media could not be loaded. Great suitcase but expected to get a little scuffed up when traveling. Overall very sturdy and great features with the expandible panel. Leaving this review after a big trip including three flights and a cruise ship voyage.

I won’t give a star for this at all...my flight from Toronto to Los Angeles...the big size luggage couldn’t keep up with the travelling....its already damaged...I will attached the pictures...the small one I was carrying with me....so that one in good conditions...not even Half way through my vacation luggage almost gone....gotta wrap around it before departing from Los Angeles to Singapore....I’m not happy with it...the amount of the money that I paid, it’s not worth it for this

Excelentes maletas
Tal cual la imagen, el color es muy bonito y tienen gran capacidad. Ya he tenido maletas de esta marca antes y me duraron 5 años, pero fueron muy usadas así que considero fue uns buena compra.

DON'T BUY IT
At first I thought the color was better than the picture. The color as viewe on my laptop made it seem it's s super bright purple, but the real thing was better. I say was because one wheel broke off while was overseas; had to replace it. It's in the trash.,

Easy and sturdy
This is a great travel Luggage set! I travelled to Southeast Asia recently for my brother’s wedding and this luggage held up pretty well. It’s sturdy and durable and I like the color as it stood out from the rest of the luggage and it’s good looking and easy to spot on! Wheels are smooth, luggage is easy to move around and I love that it’s expandable! The only thing is the fabric inside I feel like it’s a bit flimsy. I wished they would have used a thicker or better quality fabric…but it’s not a deal breaker. Highly recommend.
