Superior vendor for Superior product!

Mod Podge has been a staple in any artists' or crafters' supply stash. Since it's debut in the late 1970's when I was in grade school to college at Rhode Island School of Design Mod Poge has always been there. This was actually my first time trying the Hard Coat on furniture. 20 years ago I bought a "naked" or unfinished roll-top desk and used products from the paint section at the local hardware store. Twenty years into my career and wiser in general I decided to try the Hard Coat as a sealer and Finish over a lighter than light stain on another "naked" piece of wood furniture. 2 Days into the curing stage and I am amazed. I will no longer be bringing toxic chemical containing sealants and/or gloss-matte into my studio which is attached to the house and my children find me. **Note on the vendor, Stuff 4 Crafts, I received my order just a few days after ordering it. However somehow the product wasn't listed as delivered and they sent out another order. It's supposed to arrive by5/18/20.My original order was on 4/16 and as my photo shows, received it on the 20th. (I date all my supplies since my 15year old acrylic paint fiasco!) Stuff 4 Crafts has gone above and beyond trying to correct a delivery delay thanks to the USPS , over taxed with mail during this pandemic yet never missing a delivery. Vendor: 5 stars USPS: 5 stars

Did not cure as hard as I wanted

I'm going to put varnish over top of the coffee table now because the mod podge scrapes easily and the paint I covered over is coming off.

Hardens your project beautifully.

I decoupage napkins onto baskets using napkin glue. But my overcoat is this one for hardening. I don't want anything to scrape the napkin or chip it or put a hole in it, so I use the Mod Podge Hard Coat. It really dries hard. One point to consider...you have to brush the coat on very evenly and make sure that you don't get small pools of the glue in places. Those little pools will show once the glue dries, so be careful and use your brush!

Make Sure You Get Enough

I bought this to add some maps to the front of a cheap, small 2-drawer file cabinet I'm attempting to salvage. I'm including a photo of this product so you can see how big (small) the bottle is. It clearly states 8 oz, so there is no deception in marketing; I just have a difficult time picturing product size without some kind of reference, so I'm providing that. I haven't gotten to use it on my project yet, so I cannot say how far it will go (I will update when I do). Keep in mind that this product recommends 2 thin coats for a 'satin finish' and at least 5 coats for a 'built up finish'.

It's modpodge.... it's thick. Spreads nicely. Gave a dull finish, matte. I used it to stick paper designs to diy 2x2 tile magnets. Ended up using clear polish to give shine

Mod Podge Dream

I am a Mod Podge fan in the first place, but I'm pretty sure this formula was crafted by unicorns. I usually use the original gloss formula but started wood working and i will now use this formula exclusively. The hard coat doesn't leave brush streaks, seals wonderfully, leaves a silky smooth finish/touch, has a good sheen to it, and does cure hard. Bottle states total cure time is 4 weeks, but after 24 hours, I don't know how much harder it can really get. I have tried on paper crafting w no color bleed/mishaps or discoloration/yellowing. Has no smell, self leveled well, and held up to moisture. I'm super impressed w this formula and will def buy again.

This is definitely a Hard Coat glaze.

I like Mod Podge. And as I have tried more varieties of the basic Mod Podge, I have liked them also. But this was the first time I have used the Hard Coat. I had bought this for another project but instead I used Hard Coat to put a hard glaze on a wooden cart top for my laptop. I put several coats on the cart top (all in one evening). The finish is hard and slick. I have to remember to hold onto the mouse when moving the cart otherwise it flies off the cart. It worked better than I expected and I will definitely use it again.

It depends on your use

It is an excellent adhesive but don't use it for varnish especially ceramic. It takes a lot of time to cure . Use it on stone if you want

This stuff is amazing!

I had heard of mod podge in the past but had never used it before. I had bought a cheap cabinet for our hallway but hated the laminate top so I decided to cover it with an offcut of wallpaper. This mod podge was just the thing to stick it on, it was so quick and easy to use and it's holding up well after several months, no edges lifting up and no tattiness, I'm delighted and will definitely be mod podging more things in the future!

Disclaimer: I have only used this on indoor items, so cannot comment on this product's durability with outdoor exposure. I have used this for decoupage with single issue comic books. My experience so far has been: - applies evenly - consistency is kind of perfect, not too thick, not too runny - if applied thinly, dries swiftly - maintains the texture of the brush strokes - soaks into the comic paper fairly readily - depending on the quality of the paper, can sometimes deepen the colours of the images (in a good way) - the recommended minimum of 5 coats is a good recommendation - definitely dries 'hard' - does dry opaque if layered too thickly - dries flaky on your fingers and nails - soaks into fabric (my sweater ugh) and will not come out once dry I have not tested if this is water resistant. I intend to repurchase this product. To purchase the mask in the image find it on Etsy @ShayLaFaye

Great glue

I brought this for sealing my diamond art paintings and it works a treat you can can use to to apply your gems if the stickiness goes off the original painting and also glue over the top to seal your painting to protect the diamonds falling off it sets hard just one thin coat is enough to use as multi pile layers result in a raised matte effect it also has several other uses for crafting/hobbies good value for money nice resale pot
