Good size and quality
I bought set to use with a non verbal autistic student working on emotions, communication board, He loves them.

Bought for my classroom
I bought this for my classroom when it was on sale. It’s cute and pretty good but some of the emotions are hard to understand for children with special needs and small children (e.g. embarrassed). I like the picture cards for showing actual emotions. The faces on the figures aren’t as easy to tell but I do like the body signals. Could be good as a sorting activity also.

Lots of Fun!
This is such a cute set! I love that it's all about emotions and that we can help our littles find and understand their feelings. Each color has one of each emotion and they have a little stage that they can stand on. This does come with some card but they're a little small and on the flimsy side but you could easily pair the characters up with other cards. We don't use the cards but just the characters. I'd recommend these to any other mamas who're looking to help their kiddos understand what's happening to them. Hope you find this helpful!

Unclear goals to open ended activities. But beneficial.
I found the instructions for this set activity set to be vague on what the goals of these activities are. The activities are really open ended. And as someone who was not specifically looking for an activity targeted towards feelings, maybe it’s just me, but I wish the instructions would better define buzz phrases like SEL and emotional processing. And maybe it’s a therapy term or something, but why do they refer to the figures as “counters” and simply not “figures”? As I mentioned, I wish the goals were more explicitly stated, but my interpretation is the goals of the activities are 1) to be able to recognize emotions of others so that they can 2) learn to empathize, as well as, to 3) gain practice in talking about feelings, both theirs and others. There may be others, but those are my takeaways after much pondering of what my child should be getting out of this. In the end, this set has provided a way to initiate and aid my child talking in more detail about her feelings on a few occasions. Likewise, it’s prompting me (or making me more aware) to ask more questions in regards to how she felt while recounting the things she did during the day. And I guess even impromptu activities, like when she made up a story using the figures and their expressions, have learning value. So overall, I guess this set is proving beneficial.

Great tool to teach SEL and promote school success!
I got this for my Preschool/PreK classroom to focus on emotions with my little ones. As I prepare my students for Kindergarten, a core part of our program is focusing on Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) as recent research states that the greatest predictor of Kindergarten (and later grade levels) success is secure Social-Emotional Skills. This year I am finding we REALLY need to focus on this now more than ever, because many of my little ones were just babies when COVID first hit, and are now just learning about how to interact with others in group settings. We found this a great supplementary game/activity to focus more about different feelings and emotions, and have used this in multiple ways to promote SEL in the classroom, since the materials are so versatile, and the children really liked the little characters that came with the set. We have not only played the game “according to the rules” that come with the set, but we have also used the picture cards in a pocket chart so children can identify what feelings characters in stories we read have, or how friends might feel. I do recommend if you are using these in a classroom, that you laminate the cards, so they last a little longer, but these are fine to use as is for at home use, especially if you are planning on using them as much as I have been using them. The figures are cute colorful visuals to use to help teach different concepts (for example, like how to line up in a line, and how others might feel if someone goes ahead in line, or how others might feel if someone is pushing them in line.) I will use these figures to show them what this looks like, and to grab their attention because they like the figures so much and help illustrate scenarios, model different outcomes, than have the children practice them showing me the good choice and not so good choice. Not the intention of the product, but definitely a great way I found to use them! I think this is a great tool for any home or classroom because of the different ways you can use them! Hope you get a chance to get these, because they are a fun way to incorporate SEL!

Great set.
I'm so glad I saw this set. It makes it easier explaining emotions to a young toddler. The little figurines are cute with multiple different colors and different emotions. I will say some of the emotions are confusing to me but it comes with a little instruction sheet and it's all explained there! Gives tons of different ideas, and different names for the same emotion. The flashcards with real life pictures on it of different emotions is a little small I wish they were twice as big but it does come with a lot of them, they are double sided! Over all I'm glad I ordered this and I think it will be a great tool to have for my kids.

Great when teaching emotions to young children!
This is a great activity set to use when teaching your younger children about emotions. My four year old enjoys not only matching the colors and the emotions but identifying the emotions using the flash cards provided. We use the figures to also do other emotion activity’s!

Great for role-playing different scenarios
This Learning Resources All About Me Feelings Activity Set is a great way to help kids learn about their emotions and how to express them. My 3 year old loves playing with this set. The pieces are colorful and the game is easy to understand. We play it together and it helps him to recognize and name his feelings. The pieces are also great for role-playing different scenarios and discussing different emotions. I love that it helps him to develop social emotional skills. Highly recommend this set!

Missed the mark with my three year old
I’ve normally been really impressed with Learning Resources products, however this one felt like it missed the mark with our boys. The box comes with 36 figurines representing 6 different emotions, it also contains matching cards for those emotions which shows a real life child expressing that emotion too. I also liked that the box itself is part of the toy, with it opening to become a stage to put the figurines on. I was somewhat perplexed as to why there are so many figurines, my 3 year old also seemed a little bemused as to what to do with them all, eventually leaving them all scattered around our home! It seemed unclear as to what the different colours represented. I think the figurines are well made and they are an easy likeness to the emotion, but probably the set would have worked just as well with only one figurine per emotion, or even just as a set of flash cards. Ultimately, my 3 year old played with this for 15 minutes and hasn’t touched it since in the few weeks we’ve had this, which is disappointing in comparison to others in this range and given the price (£22 at time of review).

Good quality but pricey
This is a lovely set for helping kids learn about emotions and articulate how they are feeling. It is well made and with good resources included in the box. It’s also quite expensive for what you get.

Interactive and versatile resource
This lovely activity set can be used in many different ways. The little figures are colourful and sturdy, showing different emotions such as sad, angry, proud, happy, embarrassed. You can play matching activities or use them to start a discussion on feelings. There is also a set of photo cards showing people with these emotions. So a simple game would be to name the emotion, then match the right figure with the card. This can be extended to ask why the person feels that way. It really is a lovely resource which is easily adapted to a child’s age and ability. Recommended.

Versatile and well thought out
My wife was an early years teacher and gives this a 5 * review for use 1:1, with small groups or as play materials in a class or group setting. The product information suggests age group 2 - 4 years but it is much much wider than that! Social and emotional development, managing your feelings etc are high on the agenda with young children especially following the Covid lockdowns and lack of opportunities to socialise. The box comes with really good ideas for using the materials, ranging from simply talking about feelings through to matching, sorting and counting games. The small figures express 6 different emotions in their posture and facial expression - and there are 6 of these sets in different colours. The figures are sturdy for use in all sorts of small world play ( but not bendable as this could changer the emotions featured!) There are 6 cards which name the depicted feeling and show the the figures in cartoon firm, and on the reverse there is photo of a child looking angry, happy, embarrassed etc. In addition there are 12 small double sided glossy cards with single or groups of children showing the same emotions. The whole package is so well thought out, even down to the fact that the box opens out to forma small stage with a "spotlight" where you can stand the figure you are talking about! An excellent and versatile resource which at £22 is not expensive for a group setting. Recommended.
