Good organizer

Put this in my locker at work. The locker is narrow, and this fit fine. Use it for storing winter gear (extra hat, gloves, rain gear) at work. Pleased with purchase.

A Real Winner of an Investment

I bought 3 of these, plus an "over the door" system also by Whitmor - all for my wife who has too many shoes she loves and already has a little closet dedicated to her shoe collection which can't keep up with her hobby. We get so many shoes still on the floor of her large dressing room and that kind of makes it hard to enjoy the room she loves so much. These are VERY well made and also well thought out. They take up almost no space in her other closets and each puts 10 pairs of her favorites at a known location, so it's easy to find exactly what she wants as long as she takes the trouble to put them back when she comes home tired. It's easy to see which pair is which so that saves time and they are all very sturdy (in appearance) so they should hold up well. In addition, if she wants to take one of them with her for a trip home to Philippines, they will fold right back to the original little package and take up no space in her bags. For the price these are definitely a home run purchase. For the over-the-door system, though it has 12 pods, each is only big enough for one shoe or maybe two sandals or flipflops. Her closets have cabinet-type doors so I simply screwed this to the backside of the door. Works well.

Sturdy, great for organizing closets, perfect for me to put my flip flops or Sandals in

Sturdy and easy to assemble the top hanging portion. The compartments are smaller than I expected. They don’t hold my sons shoes the way I had hoped. I’d have to put one shoe per square for his shoes (size 10.5). It is still worth the cost for other uses. Cleaning items or misc storage. Well made. I am going to use it for my flip flops. It will hold several pair in each compartment.

Helping me tame my wild closet!

This organizer is great for my tiny closet - narrow and long and perfectly holds undergarments that I didn't want to use shelf space for. It feels sturdy to me, though I've only been using it a few weeks now so time will show. (Since I'm not using it for shoes, I am not sure how the wear and tear of something larger/heavier would change things.) The only issue I had was that the hooks to hang it on the bar in the closet are a bit small - they *just* fit over mine, and there'd be no way to slide it back and forth if that were my intention - luckily, it's not.

The best for saving closet space!!

Got these for shoe storage/organization in our new custom closet. These for SO many more shoes in SO much less space than building cubby holes. I just dedication a taller hanging space to shoes, these work fantastic to keep shoes off the floor and put away!! There are a lot of different sizes of these shoe bag things and these holes are a bit smaller but since I was hanging two side by side on each side of the closet and my husband has larger but fewer shoes, I can fit 2 pairs of my sandals in just one slot and for his giant shoes I just put one shoe per slot. And I can put my little flip flops on the outside for even MORE room! That all sounds confusing but it makes sense logically and in practice!

Not just for shoes

I bought this shoe organizer not for shoes but for hats, mitts and scarves. I had been keeping these items on the top shelf but always had a hard time finding the specific item I was looking for as they were all mixed together. Now I have a neat closet and can get just what I want without fuss. The organizer is well made and of good quality. There are little mesh pockets on the side which are great for gloves. This organizer has worked out really well for me. I highly recommend it.

A fabric rack that I've learned to live with

Short version : The steel frame is actually a metal hanger to hang it. The compartments might not be small enough for shoes. If you have a lot of slippers, or you don't mind squeezing it together, give it a try. Long version : I had ordered this shoe rack for because I needed something more than a simple rack to help me organise my footwear. More importantly, I wanted to keep it out of reach of pets and rats. I saw a steel hanging rack for 600 rs and I figured it was too good to be true. Well I was right. The shoe rack doesn't have a frame of steel. It is made of fabric. What it does have is a metal hanger with 2 hooks. The hooks go through holes at the top most compartment and can be used to hang. Not a deal breaker but I guess I expected too much on reading the misleading name. But the product doesn't seem like it'll tear on placing weight and I have currently placed footwear in all compartments. It's holding up well. Problem is: the compartments are small. I can squash and squeeze a pair of slippers in one compartment, but that isn't possible for shoes. I keep my sport shoes in 2 compartments - one shoes in each section. Overall, I am okay with this. Just a little disappointed with the "steel frame" and the compartment size. If you have more slippers than shoes, I'd say go for it.

Great shoe organizer, even for men's shoes.

Great organizer for my shoes. My wife bought one for our closet at the front door to clean up space on the floor and it worked great for her shoes. I then looked at my shoes taking up space (and they didn't look good all over the floor) so I also bought one for my shoes. At first, I thought my shoes wouldn't fit however with some ingenuity they did. For men's shoes, I put one on top of the other, offsite slightly and put them in sideways and they do fit. I have one pair that I did have to press them together slightly to slide in and it didn't affect the shoe. I wish we had bought these years ago, what a nice and neat looking floor at our door and the closet is now tidy as well.

Hooks - not velcro

I purchased this for shoes and like that the compartments are not very large. This was to replace an existing shoe organizer that had worn out. Unlike the previous one that attached to the rod by velcro, this organizer has wire hangers and frame at the top to actually hang from the rod. I have this at the cottage where closet space is limited so the fact that it is narrow but still holds a lot of shoes is a bonus for me. UPDATE: I purchased a second one of these for my home and love the elastic pockets on the side. Great for holding small items like dog leashes.
