Its fine
Pros: Comfortable, durable leather exterior, affordable pricing and good protection Cons: hard to put on and take off, cushioning separated around the first finger joints after the knuckles so its some cushioning around the knuckle and some around the fingertips

Excellent for the price. Snug fit.
I also own Pro style IMF gloves which are somewhat more expensive than these, and I would say that this cheaper version is almost as good as the Pro Style IMF. These are excellent gloves. Initially, they are snug/tight to the point of uncomfortable, but after the break in, they feel like custom gloves fitted to your hand. I think they are slightly less tight than Pro style. However, they are somewhat difficult to put on and more difficult than the Pro style. One reason is the close fit. So if you want a close fit like I do, then you have to accept some difficulty in putting the gloves on, but another reason is the the wrist cuff design. It does make an advantage for sparring since everything is flush around your wrist and you will not cut your partners face. The disadvantage is in the difficulty of putting the gloves on by your self (without anybody helping you). Overall, these gloves are pretty close to the more expensive version (Pro Style IMF) in terms of how they feel. They are difficult to put on, but I am ok with this since the gloves are great. I give these gloves a 5 star rating for quality for the price. There are some better gloves, but at this low price range, they are amazing. These gloves should be reserved for sparring only. You can hit the bag of course and they will offer good protection, but they will fall apart quickly, like all sparring gloves do, if you are a heavy hitter. I would use them on the bag only for the initial break in. These gloves are true to weight! They weight exactly 16 ounces. Due to the tight fit, it is possible that they will not fit everyone, and not everyone would accept the difficulty of putting them on. For reference, my hand is 9.1 inches around knuckles and I bought the large size.

Gift purchase
What do you buy a young man that has everything? When we asked he said, "boxing gloves" so this was our choice after some research. We got these plus some hand wraps and our friend was very excited. He says they are great, very comfortable and he loves them. Of course his sister says we should have bought him a box or so of the anti stink inserts vbg Very pleased.

Quality
I don’t write many reviews so after having a few pair of Ringside gloves I figure I should. I am really happy with the fit, quality and durability these gloves put out for hard sparring, boxing & Kickboxing. I have another set I use for pad & bag work. Overall great buy for the money, I love the wrist strap, it’s not overly bulky, I can tighten way better than anything I’ve tried to this point and the wrist Velcro cover is awesome. It helps keep the gloves secure and the Velcro away from sparring partners, clothes or being ripped off. I def recommend and will be ordering a new set for bag work soon!

Very sweaty. Not as in picture. Confortable and good protection.
I bought the black 14 ounces gloves from Amazon. The gloves arrived fast. All the Outside of the glove except velcro and elastic band are made of soft leather. They are confortable, soft and do a nice fist. They protect very well the Hand and have a nice wrist support. What I deslike about the gloves is that they don’t breathe. They are all closed and do Not have any holes in the thumb as in Amazon picture for this item. They make me sweat a lot from the hands. More than other gloves. And they are difficult to dry the inside in 24 hours in a dry weather day. Also the thumb is Black and Not white as in Amazon picture. The elastic band is very difficult to use by yourself. You will end up damaging the gloves with your teeth.

Great Gloves!
I purchased these gloves in 16 ounce and have been very satisfied so far. FIT: My hand is 8 1/2 inches around the knuckles and the fit is great in the hand area with Mexican style hand wraps. It's a little bit hard to get my fist past the elastic cuff but I can still put them on without anyone helping me. MATERIAL: I have not had these for very long so I'm not sure how long they last. They are made of leather and feel pretty sturdy but feel light. The foam is good protection and broke in comfortably after two workouts. Overall they are a good buy and I highly recommend them. They came in promptly and complete with good color and smell.

Look elsewhere.
I really don't like this gloves. Although they seem to be high quality, they have some serious flaws that make boxing with them a nightmare. 1) Velcro. It is not apparent in the picture, but there is an elastic band around the gloves that makes them very difficult to take on and off. You need to lift this elastic up in order to get at the velcro which tightens your gloves...The velcro piece underneath is thin and does not get them as tight as they need to be. Very poor design and unless you have a buddy to help you properly put these on, they are a nightmare. 2) Inside mitten padding. I work on a heavy bag and the first time I used these gloves, I noticed a discomfort half way into the workout. When I took them off, the knuckles of both my pinkies where bleeding from rubbing against the grainy fabric inside. Still after three weeks of use, I need to tape my pinkies in order to use these gloves. Maybe they will be better once they wear in a bit more, but that is a terrible product design that you need to 'wear them in' before they work properly. TL;DR-- overall I am disappointed in the functionality of these gloves due to the difficulty to put them on and take them off quickly and the comfort of my hands once inside. I am also frustrated that I spent ~$50 on a product that will not work properly until I wear them in.

Good quality let down by frustrating elastic collar.
3* for training, 4* for sparring. I was very excited to receive these gloves and had high expectations based on them being made by Ringside. The gloves themselves are really good quality, and definitely felt high end. The fit was also decent. Unfortunately, there are some negatives with these gloves (for me anyway). The biggest negative is the elastic collar that rolls down over the more traditional velcro wrist strap. Other reviews have mentioned this, and it turns out they are true. I was able to roll the elastic collars up and down, but it took a lot of time and effort. The other negative is that the hand compartment was quite big for my hands (I'm 5' 8" and 160lbs for reference). I've tried other 14oz gloves and not experienced this before. Overall, I love the quality of the gloves (especially if you can get them on sale for $60), but they are really let down by not using the conventional velcro wrist straps. I suggest you consider this before purchasing. I bought these for general training (mitts, bag, etc.), not for sparring. I think the elastic collar would be much less of an issue if these are used for sparring, as you wouldn't need to take them off quite as often. If you purchase these for sparring, I recommend you get at least the 16oz, as I found the IMF padding to be quite firm, so best to be considerate for your partner. Ultimately, I sent these back and purchased different gloves from Ringside instead. For reference, I have been training with boxers for 5 years now, so I'm not a complete noob.

Bad strap design
-no Velcro or lace to tighten glove -uses very difficult elastic to tighten -can’t put on by yourself, because you need a lot of dexterity to work the elastic flap

Padding is great, fit is pretty tight, though. Really tough to put on if you're doing it yourself.

impossible to put on...
Unless you have freakishly small hands these gloves are almost impossible to put on. especially if you are wearing hand wraps. I thought it would get better once they broke in, but no.

The ringside stitching on the cuffs are easily ripped.
