Love this lipstick

I love to wear lipstick. Many brands can dry out my lips and cause chapping. This one does not dry out and stays on for long wear. This color is beautiful and does not feather around edges of lips. The price is also soo cheap.

Lovely color!

I love this lipstick color. Definitely 90s vibe. It’s a brownie pinky shimmery lipstick that’s very moisturizing and can suit many skin tones. Super comfortable on the lips. Does transfer but I don’t mind too much. Only thing I dislike is the strong perfume scent all Rimmel products tend to have.

Rimmel Extreme Lipstick Glimmers

Rimmel Extreme Lipstick is very moisturizing, looks great, and has a glimmering, shiny look. The only thing is you have to reapply it after wearing it a short time. Goes with everything. Like it!

I love this color and it's always sold out in the stores

This is one of my fav colors. It is just the perfect shade. I have also used it as my blush and lightly applied and used as an eye shadow.

Just the Job

I am now 73 years of age and have used this make and colour since I used to write on stone tablets. I am delighted with this purchase and have ordered several as they are at such and advantageous price. Delivered very quickly too. Just great.

Exactly what I wanted.

I have always used this Lipstick and have always had compliments, so I was delighted to see that Amazon sold Rimmel some people think Rimmel is not very good but I would question that, as I have always found their products excellent and very good value for money and the Concealer stick does conceal any blemishes and if you have the odd spot it seems to just dry it up and it disappears I would not be without it, I think Rimmel as is as good as any of the products you can buy and would not change anything I have ever bought.

Nice subtle shade

I bought this in Heather Shimmer and it's ideal - it's a shade darker than my lips and has a slight sheen but isn't took brash or too glossy. I'm well into my fifties and this is a nice lipstick to put on when you're popping into town during the day and don't want to look too made up.

Has it undergone a colour change?

I've worn Heather Shimmer since my teens, and am now in my 50s. I know what suits us does change - in particular my hair has gone white, so I have rather different colouring now. But shouldn't I still know the shade I've worn for 40 years? This doesn't seem the same. Have they pointlessly re-vamped it (no pun intended)? It used to be quite mauvy, hence the name "Heather". This seems to tend more towards red, or even coral. I checked the label, and it does say Heather Shimmer, so I haven't received the wrong one. I've searched for a stump of an old one to compare, but couldn't find one, so I've only got memory to guide me. It's still a nice, moisturising lipstick, but either they've changed the shade, or weirdly I don't like it any more. Update to this: I've just gone to use it again after a few weeks, and found the tube mysteriously stuck to the bottom of my makeup caddy with - you guessed it - lipstick! Virtually the entire contents of the tube were now outside the tube, and all over everything! I did clean it up and open it to see if there was anything worth salvaging, but just a gloopy mess inside as well. I appreciate we've had an unusually hot summer, but I've never before had anything like this happen in over 40 years of wearing lipstick - much of it Rimmel. It looks as if I microwaved it or something - that's how much of a mess it is. I'm now questioning whether it was genuine, as I already thought the shade didn't seem right, but the whole lot liquefying and escaping from the tube doesn't seem like Rimmel at all! I've had some sticks over 20 years that didn't do this. It's the weirdest thing I've ever had with a lipstick.

The Same, But Different

After being given an old makeup box from my teens when my parents were having a clear out, I found a Rimmel Heather Shimmer lipstick I used when I was 13. It was almost completely gone because I loved wearing it and I was overjoyed to find out Rimmel still made this colour- beats trying to slap on the last of a 24 year old lippy and burning my lips off in the process! While Heather Shimmer in 2021 is a great colour, there is a subtle difference to Heather Shimmer circa '96 (yes, I risked my lips burning off to compare the two). It's s slightly warmer and more red in tone and not quite as shimmery as the Heather of old. I took a pic of the comparison which you see here and you may not think is noticeable - as I said its subtle - but it's still a lovely colour. I'll miss my old lippy colour but I reckon this new one will become a regular.
