It works fine initially
The trigger broke after I used it a couple of times. Maybe we pulled it too hard.

Great Release for The Price
I have a TruFire release as well as two of these Allen Company releases. For the price, the Allen release is a really good buy and works really well. The trigger is fairly light so you have to be aware of this when you draw your bow. If you always put your trigger finger behind the trigger (and press on it) as you draw back, you'll never have a misfire. The strap isn't as nice as the TruFire and this is why I gave it 4 stars. The strap requires a bit more tweaking to get it on your wrist properly as it has two Velcro straps and you have to put both on to secure the wrist band. The first Velcro strap gets the release onto your wrist allowing you to adjust the fit and how tight you want it around your wrist - it's two pieces instead on one continuous strap. Then the second strap goes around this strap and slides through a buckle to ensure the release is securely fastened to your wrist. The TruFire is one single continuous strap with one Velcro connection. It's much faster to get on and off your wrist. The Allen release only has one length. There is no length adjustment so if you have small hands, this may not be a good release for you. The Allen release does have a swiveling head so it can rotate freely when clipped onto your bow string. This is a nice touch. I have used the release three times now and it's worked flawlessly. For the money, this is a pretty good release.

Great for the cost
This is a pretty good release for the price. I use this primarily as a back up but it's a good release. It is sensitive. Which is EXACTLY what you want. You do not want a stiff trigger on a release. And even though It's sensitive it is secure. The only issue I have with this release is the non adjustable post. I wish thee was a way to make the post shorter. But it's easy to make it work. I also prefer a buckle but for like $15 shipped. Can't be picky! I recommend this release

Very easy to use adjustable velco wrist fixture that is also well padded and comfortable. Would have given 5 stars but the trigger mechanism is as noted in other reviews pretty close to hair trigger. It is easy to bump it and inadvertently launch an arrow prior to the intended time unless you make a mental note to keep trigger finger "behind" the trigger until actually ready to release arrow. Would not recommend this for beginner archers.

Works as it should...
Good quality construction. Trigger has a light pull so be careful. Always have an arrow nocked and pointed in a safe direction when pulling bow string back. The velcro is a bit noisy but once you have it on this is not an issue. I have large to xtra large hands and it fits well. The trigger swivel is a nice feature as it keeps the release lined up properly. Why spend more when this does the job quite well!

5 stars for the price
This works as well as other releases I've tried that cost more than double the price. This item works pretty well for the cost. I went to an archery store to try other releases. The fancy ones allow you to adjust the tension in the trigger and allow adjustability with the length. This one you'd have to cut down the shaft then replace the tube to shorten it. I have pretty small hands and it was difficult to get my finger on it so i had to fab a way to shorten it. For most people this will be fine. It has a hair trigger but it's something you get used to and I like how crisp it is when you release it. Make sure your fingers are behind the trigger when drawing the bow and don't put a finger on the trigger until ready to fire. the strap has two velcro sections you put on. One to place on the wirst, another to tighten.

Got what I paid for... which wasn't much.
This isn't the worst t-strap I've seen or used, but it's far from worthy of anything more than basic target practice for the novice archer. The clasp on the bowstring is easily operated, although a bit touchy once set! Glad I got it, but I wouldn't buy a second one. If you are planning on shooting a lot, I'd highly recommend a higher quality strap or other system altogether. Several other shooters I recently spoke with all recommended this style instead: [...]

Give it a go
I recently took up archery, and the tip of my middle finger started going numb for days at a time. It was unpleasant. I dawned work gloves, but had the same result. Finally I decided that if I wanted to stick with it, I needed a triggering mechanism, and decided on this caliper. It came in the mail yesterday and at first my aim was thrown off wildly, and knocking the arrows took quite a bit of time. However, within probably 20 minutes, my aim had improved to better than it was prior to using the caliper and I got back up to speed with the knocking. The only thing that I have against the device is that sometimes I feel the trigger is a little too sensitive. It has misfired, so to speak, at least 5 times because I brush against the trigger. I hope that too will resolve itself in time as I become more used to using it.
