Perfect upgrade
Worked well as an updated look. Previously bought 4 others before finding this one. The others were less expensive (at least half). Wished I fond this one first.

It works
I cannot say anything for durability, but it works and looks fine. It feels a little flimsy in hand when you get to use the locking lever. My previous one had a more solid feel.

Paint is thin. Latch catch is flimsy
The look is nice and it serves its purpose. My door supplier took it upon themselves to cut the reliefs for the handles and cut them too big. This product is the only handle I can find that will cover the oversized relief. The paint is very thin and easily scratched during installation. The catch that is used to lock the door is very flimsy and basically unusable. The catch bends if someone tries to open the door while the handle is locked. I had to track down a replacement to use in place of the one included.

Exact fit replacement for old pocket doors.
I have old pocket doors. They were installed in the 1960's, and the handles were changed once before, in about 1990. The handles were showing their age. These are nice units, well made, and they fit exactly to replace the old ones.

Design flaw in the cheap knob
It looks fine and seems function and durable enough. But there are no instructions for how to reverse it. The reversal seemed pretty straightforward after a moment of inspection, and I thought I had both sides aligned properly, but maybe I didn’t. As soon as I screwed it in tight, the little nubby wing things that hold the twisting knob part from falling off both snapped so that the knob fell out and I couldn’t lock it. I had to salvage the piece off the ugly one I was replacing. Now I have a plastic tan knob on my pretty bronze lock. It’s functional, but I paid a lot extra to have one that would look nice and not just be functional. The white line in the pic is where the little protrusion part used to be attached.

Works but finish isn't amazing
I bought this because I couldn't find this larger size handle in my local stores. It works great and seems good quality except for the finish as others have mentioned. Be very careful not to scratch the paint off and you should be happy with this. I laid it down on a towel while I was installing it and made sure not to go to crazy on the screws and got away with no scratches. I can see how easy it is to scratch it though. It's a nice matte black without any brassiness showing through which is what I wanted. Four stars due to the finish, otherwise it's great.

Colour not as picture
As mentioned by others, this was a perfect physical replacement for the pocket door pulls installed in my 1960s-era Ontario house. I appreciated that it went in using the same holes and without any modifications required. However, the colour is nothing like the nickel finish I am used to. Or the picture. To me, nickel finish is a bright sort of silver/aluminum/brushed stainless steel-like colour. Actually, kind of like the picture. What arrived was a pull in a finish that I can best describe as black. Maybe that's what 'Antique Nickel' means. I don't know if this is a new trendy colour, but it doesn't match the tons of bright nickel finish stuff out in the world, or in my house. If you are expecting this to match existing bright nickel-finish hardware in your house, you will be disappointed. The finish is interesting and decent enough. I decided to keep it because of the convenient fit and difficulty finding this in other finishes. But if you are considering ordering, you are advised to think 'black' rather than 'bright nickel'.

Chinese knock off in wrong colour
This product was advertised as antique nickel and pictured as such. I reality, it is almost a shiny black, as seen in other reviewers posts. The description stated the product was made by Richelieu in the US, but in actuality it is “onward” from China. The unit itself is functional, but as stated above, not as advertised.
