Believe the positive reviews!
I know that sometimes people misuse a product outside of its limitations and then they get on here and mislead prospective buyers by evaluating the product based on its inability to perform outside of the tolerances of its limitations or intended use. That aint cool. So, to the folks who say their arrows went through this material, I have to question whether or not they realize that this material is for arrows, not bullets, and maybe not an arrow that uses an explosive as a propellant, which they would have to be using in order to get any penetration through this material. In my trials conducted outside on my lawn just now - firing 400 spine (skinny shaft), pointy target/field tipped carbon arrows from a fully drawn 30 lb recurve bow, at only ten paces - not a single arrow so much as pierced the material. Rather, EVERY arrow hit the net with a dull thud, slightly creased the material, then smartly fell in the grass, the crease laughing as it straightened under the weight of the material. Honest to goodness, this net has stopping power like no material I have seen. It must be a combination of the material and the weave pattern, distributing impact force throughout the net on contact, because nothing else explains why I couldn't get a single arrow to so much as poke a hole in the net (both folded in half AND single ply). And, believe me, at the risk of putting a hole in it (there wasn't a risk, it turns out, because it is just that strong), I tried intently to get the arrow to penetrate the net. It wouldn't. It couldn't. Like I said, ten paces, fully drawn, skinny shaft carbon arrow with a pointy steel tip. No penetration. Now, to put this into perspective with regard to the stopping power of this net, I fire these very same arrows and tips with the very same bow, at the same full draw, from 40 paces (yards/meters) away, into a 2 inch thick, dense foam rubber target board made specifically for archery. At this distance, these 33 inch carbon arrows penetrate the foam by 10 - 14 inches, and it takes about 20 - 30 lbs of pulling force to withdraw them from this foam, it's just that dense. Actually, I'd say it's a terrible material to use for archery because arrow retrieval is so difficult and, pulling 24 arrows from this material is not just a bear, it's like wrestling with one. I'm 75 inches tall, weighing 205 lbs, muscular athletic build, active duty military. And so when I say that these arrows penetrate dense foam rubber from this distance, and at such a penetrating depth that I have extreme difficulty retrieving them, you had better believe that I am shooting strong, sharp, quality arrows with a quality bow at this target board .....and, therefore, at this net. Yet no penetration whatsoever of the net at just ten paces away. And so I say all of that to say this.....whoever is claiming that their arrows are penetrating and passing through their net is either lying, using gun powder in some kind of arrow-firing contraption, or they were sent an inferior knockoff product from a different company. All I know is the BSN archery net I received is of the highest quality, doing absolutely what they say it will, and more. Like I said, 0 penetration. 0, and, therefore, worth every penny I spent on it. No more searching for stray arrows in the woods behind my house. The only negative I found is that, common with several other reviewers, my net also arrived with dust/dirt on it, likely from the surface of whatever table or floor on which they folded it for packaging. I didn't knock it for this; it wipes off easily, the the fold was good and uniform, and the quality was/is exceptional - no fraying, tears, or defects. I'm more than pleased and, if you receive an authentic version, in any size, I am sure you will be also. I would recommend this purchase to anyone buying it for its intended use. Again, I cant see anyone's arrows finding their way through the weave pattern, let alone piecing into it. It just did not happen when I tried, firing fully drawn arrows directly at it. This is my honest, objective, unpaid, unsolicited evaluation. If anyone wants me to upload a video proof, I'd be happy to, without hesitation. Just leave a comment requesting such. The one other customer who kindly shared their footage shows the same results I encountered....arrows hit, but they never stick or prick. Exceptional design, BSN!

Does its job!
I was hesitant to buy this because of the price, but I didn't really see any other alternatives. My daughter received a bow and arrow kit for Christmas along with some bales of hay to put the paper targets on. The idea was that the bales of hay (three stacked on top of each other) would be enough to cover any arrows that missed the target. However, some arrows were either going completely through the hay or missed completely and hitting our fence and even going into our neighbor's yard. This archery net was completely solved our problem! I ordered the smallest size and it is still quite large. The tricky part was hanging it up outside. We ended up tying one end to a tree and the other end to a trampoline pole which our kids don't use anymore. This net has stopped EVERY arrow that has come in contact with it with no damage to the net. Well done!

Better than I expected
I'm not sure what I was expecting, the net is "heavy" and you will need something sturdy to keep it in place. I tried with a couple of wood stands and they kept falling outside. I decided to place it in my unfinished basement with a few hooks (double-layered) and it works like a charm. Using a 45lb traditional bow from 45 feet away it stops any rouge arrows like it would stop a... lego piece? Anyway, I'll try to set it up outside with some metal posts since I don't have any trees nearby. Overall I give it 4 stars because you really need something to hold the weight, but it's an awesome adition that lets me practice every day. Stupid me tried it once without the net and the arrow hit the concrete wall behind the target. The wall was fine, but the arrow broke in 3 parts...

Good quality and value
I purchased this item as a hitting net for a golf simulator. I have been using it for a month and so far it has held up to wedges through driver. It absorbs a lot of energy, so there is almost no bounce back. The netting has fairly large holes, so we’ll see how well a projected image is next month when my protector arrives. The only downsides so far are a strong chemical smell when you first open the package, and some large yellowish circles that are visible at certain angles. (If you need a blemish free net this is not for you)

Bulletproof -not literally....
But I neglected to take it down and it has weathered -15 and 60mph winds just fine. I should not have subjected it to this but a great test. It functions perfectly when hung as directed. Having this backdrop gives young archers particularly better focus. Though one could argue that it is a bit artificial a) to have a uniform background and b) to know that your arrows will always be caught,.

Golf Impact Screen!
I cannot Say if this will stop an arrow as I have not yet tried, but I can say it stops a golf ball going about 165mph just fine...over and over again. I have had this for about 2 months now and have probably hit close to 3,000 shots into it and it looks the same as it did on day 1. If you are looking to build a golf simulator system at your house and want to save some cash on the impact screen this is a great option. Due to the mesh size, the image projected will obviously not be 4k or anything. But I can tell the difference between fairway and rough just fine. Would highly recommend! *Mine was the 10x16 size net which at the time of this review does not look to be available.

Works pretty well doubled over
I have it folded once, doubling the material behind the target. Hung it with 6 large heavy duty carabiners, on a nylon rope strung between two trees (eyebolts into trees for the rope). The backstop stops most arrows from a 20 lb recurve at 10 yards plus. Also stops many from a 35 lb recurve at 12 yards plus. Those it doesn't stop, it slows down pretty well. I tried heavy duty oiled canvas before this net, the canvas stopped zero arrows. Thick quilted moving blankets were working before this net, but the arrows tips would penetrate (just tips) so blanket was getting holes in it.

Using as golf net
I purchased this and folded it in half to use as a golf net. Projector image looks good on it and it is extremely quiet. The only thing I can’t comment on yet is the durability. After using for a while I will update my review.

Works well as a golf impact screen
I bought this to use as an impact screen for my golf simulator and projector about a year ago. It arrived with some stains on it but customer service was very helpful. It holds up really well to golf shots including from a driver. Projection image is pretty good, not as good as a true golf impact screen would be as the little holes are bigger with the baffle net. We use it to project movies sometimes too. I love it and saved hundreds of dollars compared to what I have found on Amazon and elsewhere. I used tarp clamps, folded the net in half and used bungee cords to secure it to some makeshift framing. I also have a painters drop sheet behind to help the projected image be a bit crisper. I tried uploading photos but it kept freezing.

None shall pass
Ordered 10x26. Arrived on the expected date. After reading some of the reviews, i was a little reluctant in ordering.. As soon as it arrived, i put it up right away and shot it with a 24# from 20ft. Arrows stopped instantly and just fell to the ground. There was not even a sign on the backdrop that anything had touched it. I was so surprised that i tried shooting a few more with a 40# from 5ft. I found myself actually TRYING to get arrows to go through it. I tried shooting from different angles at full draw at point blank range. Not one arrow went through. The arrows used were skinnies with field tips. I have absolutely no idea what negative reviews were on about because this is an excellent investment if you don't want to damage anything around your home range or even to just make retrieving your arrows that much easier. Your only concern should be on how to put this up since it is quite heavy. I have it set up in my basement using mounted hooks across the ceiling and beams as needed and it seems to work well. I will post pictures when I've put up brighter lights in my basement. I'll keep updating as I use it.

Does what it says it does.
It says that it will stop arrows shot from bows up to 45#. I shoot several bows ranging from 30-45# and it stopped all of them except my 45#. This is most likely due to my long draw length making my 45# bow a 60#ish bow. It did managed to stop nearly half of the arrows shot from that bow though, which surprised me. This net is meant for lighter target archery weights, not for hunting bows, or heavy target bows. You also have to take care to hang it correctly, or it won't function properly. It will never be a 100% protective feature, so shooting in your house or with vulnerable objects behind it (ie, pets, plants, house, kids) is NOT recommended.

100% worth it
After many rounds, only a few arrows started to penetrate. But that may be because I left it out for the summer season. Could be that the fibers getting wet and drying off during the course of the season weakened the integrity. Either way, if only a few out of hundreds of shots go through, it is doing the job, and doing it well!
