its small but that's what I bought
My patio umbrella measures 7.5 in so I got the smallest netting, mostly bc I didn't want to spend 30$. I bought this because the carpenter bees are flying all over and don't let me enjoy my space, so it gets the job done but if I close the net it is very tight. All in all, Im happy with it.

Under 40, ok buy. Works.
I purchased this right before mosquito season for thirty five before price inflated. I feel even though this to me will only last a season it is worth that. No more than forty though. It works, just know it wont last a long time and it is to be replaced annually. --- Update: 5/4/22 On my purchase of this a second time, Amazon offers accidental insurance on this. Buy it. The reason..... I don't care how good you try to take care of this, if you use it a couple times a week and it is in the weather, it will still only last you 3-6 months. I'm not complaining. It's a mesh net. I look at it as a seasonal disposable item. That said, for the cheap price of accidental insurance, you can basically get an extra for about five bucks with the warranty cost that will replace the item. Believe me, you will use it.

Has potential but......
I had high hopes for this umbrella mosquito net but ended up sending it back. The quality was pretty good. I got a big one for a 9 ft umbrella. When you unfold the net, there is a lot of material! It is like a huge tube, for lack of a better way to describe it. At the top there is a draw string so that once you get help to wrestle the "tube" up and over the top of the umbrella, you start cinching up all that netting to fit around the perimeter of the umbrella. You have to keep pulling from one side to another to get it even all around, otherwise it will be hanging too far off the ground in some places and puddled in other places. This takes a while, even with 2 people. Once you get it just right, evened up all the way around, there is a tube that goes all the way around the bottom that you can fill with water so that it will not blow around. I did not put water in mine because I knew I wasn't going to keep it but you would definitely want to fill it. The little time mine was up, the wind was really blowing the light weight netting all over the place, even causing the umbrella to turn. I was concerned that with the huge umbrella and netting getting blown around, that it would turn the big heavy patio table over! Mine was on an open deck, no roof or walls to stop wind, rain or sun. I think if you used it on an enclosed porch, where you can leave it up all the time, it would probably be a good product but in my situation, I could not leave it up all the time because of wind and the sun would quickly deteriorate the netting, I think. It might would last one season in full sun, most likely. It would be way too much trouble to take up and down all the time. If you close the umbrella with it on (there are little clips that clip all around to keep it fastened to umbrella along with drawstring) it looks awful and you can't use your patio table because of the huge puddle of netting laying there. In theory it sounds great and as I said, in certain locations where you can just leave the umbrella up all the time, it might be fine, but I was really disappointed. I think a screen tent would be the best idea with my kind of open deck.

The size

does great
I accidentally bought the wrong size, and didn't realize it in time to return. I have used this 7 foot netting on a 9 ft umbrella (with some similar material to cover the gap) to see if it would work well enough to buy the 9 ft. It did, but also realized that I will probably have to buy something oversized for the umbrella as it sits inside an iron table & the correct size will probably be too tight for much moving around the table. It did work well against mosquitos and gnats for the time I tested it.

Works but not durable at all
Loving how it provides protection from big bugs and flying things. It could confuse mosquitoes as well. The weights work really well. However, it ripped on the first day once it touched a chair or something. Great concept, bad quality.

Sturdy construction
I placed this on my umbrella at the beginning of summer and kept it up all summer long. The water weights kept the umbrella standing strong and sturdy. Kept the bugs out. Great buy

Dining bug free!
It’s on my picnic table umbrella, assembly was time consuming but easy. Easy to enter and leave with zipper closing. Eating outdoors at any time of day or night, BUG FREE! Cost was reasonable and a lot less than a dining tent, or building a screened porch.

Don't waste your money
This item is simply not very good. Difficult to install. Had to make modifications to improve the installation. The screen net material is not good quality and rips easily at the parasol points. The pictures are misleading. The multiple seams that show in the photos would have probably help to keep an esthetically pleasing shape however, there are no seams, just one big piece of screen netting. Disappointing.

Decent, but NOT for blackflies
I have a different model which lets blackflies through. I ordered this one based on feedback that the mesh is fine enough to keep blackflies out. That is unfortunately not the case. Here are a few points from my review of the other model that also apply to this one: A magnetic closure would have been much more practical than the zipper. Glueing magnetic tape on there could be a good way to avoid the hassle of the zipper. Don't expect to use this if it's windy! I had no trouble installing this by partially opening my parasol and then sliding on the screen. Not something you'd want to do every day, so I attached the screen to the parasol with a bunch of grippy clips from the dollar store.

DO NOT BUY THIS ITEM, IT'S JUNK!!
I bought this item for $43.72 CND, and it's JUNK! First time I put it up, not only did the cheap zipper break at the bottom, but it didn't even reach the ground! Spend the extra money and buy a good one from a "Trusted" retailer.

Bug Screen
This is a very good idea, but was very disapointed with the water base tubing which was full of holes, at least 10. Decided to keep anyway because with Covid not sure that I would be able to get another soon.

Umbrella netting
I boughtvthis for my round umbrella but before it came the umbrella broke at the handle for the crank. I have another umbrella but it's oblong . I wasn't sure if the netting would work because of size difference. It took my husband and I a bit of work to put it on but it worked! I'm quite pleased with the quality. I find it hard to put on but it's worth it.
