Believe the other reviewers about the flimsy elastic
I chose it because of 3M's reputation for quality. But all those buyers' complaints about flimsy, too-tight elastic bands were spot on. It won't be difficult for me to replace them, just a quick trip to the thread shop, but really 3M, we expect better from you.

Great Masks, but only got 7 out of 10 in an open box.
The masks are great but perhaps a bit pricey. You can really feel the seal when breathing out when the valve clicks. However, I had an issue where I only got 7 masks instead of 10 from an open box - Someone is probably buying them, taking a few out, then returning them - so I looks like Amazon isn't doing due diligence with their inventory returns, or perhaps someone in the warehouse is filching them from time to time, so that's why I lowered the value for money rating. Customer service was really helpful though.

Much tighter than 9205 Auras!
I’m a huge fan of the classic Aura with the blue rubber headbands and get a great fit on them. Beware that this model is much tighter than the rubber model. The elastic has a fabric component, so it’s likely a lot more durable, but that comes at a cost to comfort. I was thinking with the vent and the cloth straps that this might be more comfortable than the 9205, but it’s quite the opposite. All that said, all Auras have great face fit for me and are high quality, so I will be able to use these regardless and know I’m highly protected. I now know to recommend this mask to people with smaller faces!

tight straps
I like that it fold flat and has valve. It works fine. But these are the tightest straps of any N95 mask that I have worn. IT gets uncomfortable very quick. Will not re-order.

Great masks, but tighter than the 3M Aura 9205+
These 3M Aura 9211 masks with valves are great for when you need that extra "breathability," like in hot environments. But make no mistake: The white elastic bands on these masks (and the 9210+ masks without the valve) is really tight. I have a big head, and I need to really try to stretch these out to make them comfortable. The white elastic has very little "give." The 3M Aura 9205+ masks have blue rubber mask bands, and they are less durable but much more forgiving. Those masks don't have valves, so they can be hotter, but heat notwithstanding, they can be a little more comfortable.

Packaging Damaged and Unsealed
The original packaging box was a little torn up and lacked any seal or shrink wrap, but the masks are individually packaged, and everything seems legit at first glance. Is the unsealed raggedy box to be expected for what are essentially an industrial N95 mask product?

Hurts My Nose
Update: I wore this on a domestic flight. It left a red mark on my nose and was incredibly painful. I was in the first seat (First Class) so my alternative masks were overhead. I didn’t want to be without although it’s not mandatory to wear one because I was going to visit an elderly parent having surgery. So there I sat on two flights with this digging into the bone of my nose. I didn’t have this issue with the non-vented version of 3M’s N95 mask, so this surprised me in a negative way. Minus some stars as I now think this is only good for short term use if at all. Original: I thought that my mask buying days were over. I’ve bought a lot of different types. Once N95s were available, I stocked up so much that they’re collecting dust as mandates have lowered. However, I am going on a trip and when I do that, I like to wear an N95. I was getting some shots and the person applying them had this mask on. When masks were required, most places wouldn’t allow valves as they don’t protect others. But now that masks are optional, we can opt to wear what we please. I like the 3M brand. It’s snug and I feel comfortable wearing their masks in higher risk environments. Hopefully this one addresses the moisture buildup issue with the valve release.

The most effective mask for pm2.5 super fine particulates!
I wanted to find the best mask for the terrible air pollution in Beijing China. After several days of research, I narrowed the choices down to 3 brands: 3M 95N, Totobobo (Singapore) and Respro Techno (UK). pm2.5 refers to particulates smaller than 2.5um (A hair's diameter is 30 times of pm2.5). They are extremely harmful to lung and heart as they can penetrate deep into the lung and blood. 3M 95N stands out in terms of its technical superiority. It can remove 95% of super fine particulates (down to 0.3um). In comparison, totobobo does not filter out as many particulates according to a fit test done by Hongkong University, and Respro can only filter out particulates down to 1um (according to the very little technical spec.on its website). Any of 3M 95N has the same technical ability to filter out fine particulates. So the key is to find one that fits the best and wears the most comfortable. A basic one would be 8210V (V stands for breathing valve which lets the moisture out). 8511 is a step up that has better elastic band and a bit more rigid form. It is more durable than 8210V. I find the best to be 9211+. It is fold-able and individually packaged (great for travel or storing away). The nose band (made of foam) runs across the whole length. When formed around the nose properly, it provides a very good fit to the face. The mask fits both my husband (Caucasian) and I (Asian) very well. Understandably, the air flow is reduced while one wears the mask, but I don't find the mask overly suffocating or hot to wear. I am willing to sacrifice some comfort to protect my lung. Since I own the mask, I finds it also to be quite useful when doing some house cores. In short, I highly recommend it particularly if you are traveling to countries with bad air or working in a very dusty setting! Update: I recently spent 2 weeks in BJ and wore 9211 daily. It had a snug fit to my face and felt comfortable to wear. In comparison, 8210V is less fitting and also its rubber band less comfortable. In spring, air quality is better than the heating season. Still I found that the mask became blocked after one week and I had to replace with a fresh one.

These fit perfectly. But my box arrived already opened and with 9 not 10 inside :/
I took a shot in the dark with these respirators, needing something badly for smoke from the BC forest fires. Happy to report that these fit snugly, but very comfortably. I really like the fabric straps. Unlike the rubber ones on other masks, these don't break or snap, and don't get tangled in my hair. I have an average sized head, I guess, and the fit is perfect. The only downside is on Amazon's part, they sent me a package that was already opened and one respirator was missing. Bummer.

No particle filter on the valve
Maybe I'm missing something but I don't see how these can be rated N95. When you exhale, the front valve literally opens - with no filter - meaning any dust, particulate or germs could get back in. It's also a poor choice for coronavirus as it means you are not protecting other people from your sneezing and coughing since the valve would just open up and let all of that out! I was really disappointed to learn that. The only way this is going to protect you is you hold your breath.

Quantity expected misleading
Title of product clearly indicates "3M™ Aura™ Particulate Respirator, 9211+, N95, 120 respirators (12 boxes of 10)". That's 120 respirators, but that's not what you get. You get 10 masks, that's all. So stars deducted for very misleading information. With that out of the way, the actual masks themselves are comfortable, have a bendable metal nose-piece that allows the mask to sit firmly and comfortably on your face. The part that fits under the chin is surprisingly comfortable & alleviates a lot of complaints about other, more typical face masks. Very breathable & you can definitely get more than a single use out of them. If the quantity description were accurate, I'd give this product a full 5-star rating.

They can be a bit pricey but they are GREAT
I have nothing negative to say about these mask. I only returned them because my wife needed some with out the valve on the front. We have used the Aura 9211 and they are really comfortable. For traveling, they are great! I spent about 26 hours (on two flights) in these mask. I was able to lay down on the seats and sleep with the 9211 on. I would absolutely recommend to anyone.

Tested in the dust storms of Burningman
I have asthma and an over-sensitive respiratory tract that's trying to kill me with every whiff of smoke or dust. These things kept me alive at burningman through many dust storms, and the smoke from forest fires on the way back. I wish I could buy them in greater volume.
