It works
Only thing I wish was different was a better way to guide next to a ruler. I had issues with the part. But Maybe it's cause I'm lefty and stuff like that is always an issue in the end. I learned to free hand a straight line (less headache in the end)

good at cutting small pieces of glass for craft purposes
I have used this in two contexts; it is a little different to operate in each, but it works for both. I was first exposed to this tool when I was in grad school in chemistry. We would buy large, glass-backed TLC (thin layer chromatography) plates and cut them smaller to actually use. You could get away with scoring pretty lightly when doing TLC plates (and breaking along the score lines with gloved hands) because the glass was thin. In that instance, you pretty much just needed to see the score line in order for this to work. I have also used this to cut thicker glass at home. Please note that the glass I am cutting is sold for crafts and is not random glass I found around the house (e.g., not in windows or storm doors, etc.). So it is the kind of glass you were actually meant cut with this item. I am also using smaller pieces, usually a couple of inches or less. I am mostly cutting glass to use in jewelry making (like, I will put copper foil tape around the outside and then use a soldering iron over the copper tape) so I am not doing anything large or heavy. This tool is perfect for the small-ish pieces I am cutting. When you are cutting glass thicker than TLC plates, you need to score pretty hard (you should hear a sound) before trying to break. I also have a pair of running pliers that I sometimes use to help me break along the score. You may have sharp edges on the glass after cutting, so be prepared for that and handle carefully. I have not tried too many rounded edges yet; I actually think it would be difficult to use the little wheel here to score a full circle, and then to punch the circle out, but you can do a partial rounded edge for sure. Anyway, if you are interested in cutting glass on a small scale for craft or hobby purposes, this is pretty easy to use once you get the hang of it. It probably helps that I had someone show me how to use it in the lab, back in the day.

It worked for what I needed to do
Like others said, be sure to practice. I wasn’t able to get the straightest or cleanest of cuts, but for what I was needing it wasn’t very critical. I had a hard time getting a straight score even with a straight edge. Seemed like the wheel on the tool would wobble a tad and throw you off line. For $6, it was a cheap easy solution/tool and about what I expected…

Average glass cutter
This is a very average tool for cutting glass, price was right for my occasional use to cut glass for lanterns or picture frames. I use this very infrequently, when I do, I dip it in oil to keep the cutting roller from gunking up. Sometimes works great, sometimes not so great. I attribute this to my lack of precision/skill and the fact that I am using cheap glass. If you are a crafter, not a hard-core glass cutter, this will be great. For the price, just as good as anything you can get of similar style.

I like the price
I paid $7 for this tool, which is a good price. I used it to "cut" glass of varying thickness. This DOES NOT cut through, however, it is a tool to help you INDENT the glass, in which you must break it off. Wear safety glasses, use cut proof gloves, and keep other people/animals out of the room when using this tool and handling glass. (Glass shards can go flying across the room of you don't do it right). It worked fine for me on thinner glass pieces, not thicker sheets of glass. Be sure to use vegetable oil on the wheel of the tool before attempting to cut glass.

Not great, but it does work.
Small cuts it’s ok, but any long cuts it just isn’t consistent. I’d gladly spend the money for a better model.

Does the job.
Quick delivery and works as advertise. I had difficulty cutting class and getting it to break properly. That could be inexperience or the thickness of the glass I was cutting. It'll get better with more tries, I was able to cut the mirror into the size I wanted so for that purpose it worked. Product does work according to related YouTube videos I was watching.

Impressed how well it worked
I had a giant 6'x3' 3/16" thick mirror we took off our bathroom wall in a reno and wanted too use it for a few smaller projects. I was able to cut it into 5 pieces with perfectly straight edges except for the very last piece. I think I was getting over confident and didn't score it enough near the edge. If you're cutting glass for a hobby or need a lot of small pieces, you'll probably want some better tools. However if you just need to cut the odd piece every once and a while, this will be good enough.

Simple, effective tool for cutting glass. Great bang for buck for the hobbyist DIYer
Simple, effective tool for cutting glass. Great for the hobbyist DIYer. I've never used a glass cutter before but I managed excellent results with this cutter. I watched a few youtube videos and was off to the races. Just make sure you apply solid pressure and get that scratching sound when youre scoring the glass. I was only doing straight cuts but I imagine you can free hand as well to some degree. Highly recommend this tool. Cant go wrong for the cost. If you found this review helpful please click yes below.
