It's just like playdough, but sticky. No issues at all applying it. Held up through the summer well, will update if the winter does something bad to it. Really easy to push in to corners and cracks.

Perfect for kayak hull mount transponder

Update 4-26-19: After being stored vertical in an unheated workshop over the winter and now finally back horizontal on a proper trailer, I checked and found that my transponder is still firmly in place. Putty is still nice and tacky and pliable. After installing this I have enjoyed nearly flawless fish finder operation. I actually can trust the depth ratings and fish hits. So much nicer that my attempt at dragging the transponder behind me. Best of all there was no need to build a water trap as some people show being done with both silicon forms and this type of duct seal compound. I think the little bit of petro jel I put on the face of the transponder was all I needed to achieve a good solid seal. Air bubbles will cause problems, but I've had no issues so I'm pretty happy with it. Now for another year of fishing! Original review: Used half this block to mount my FishTrax Hawkeye transponder on the inside of my sit on top kayak. Used some petro gel on the bottom of the transponder, pushed it in and slowly worked the sides up to the top edge of the transponder and angled down to the hull. Seems to be working perfectly! Much easier than other in-hull mounting options. I have the yak stored vertical for the winter, so come spring we'll see how well the compound has held up under gravity and cold temps. I'll update next year if I remember...

Great sealer for ducts

I used this to replace the old, dry, cracked and leaking duct on my electrical meter box. The rain water would find its way down the pipe, through the meter, into my electrical panel in the basement, and pout the bottom onto the floor. Since cleaning off the old sealant and adding this I have not had any issues with this. This is a 1 pound block and I used maybe 10 % of it.

Great product!

Just what I needed to fill gaps around outside openings where new electrical box/conduit were installed. The electrician never came back to "finish" the job so I ordered this seal compound and it worked great. Easy to work with molding into holes and around gaps. Work was done on outside of a brick house and it adhered fine on the brick. Easy clean up off hands too. Would recommend for any kind of similar job.

Good stuff and difficult to find elsewhere

Used it to block off wire-ways thru firewall of my car where mice had eaten the soy-based plastic gromets that are supposed to keep water out of the people side of the car. Does not look pretty but sticks where you want it to, does not make a mess on your hands, remains pliable forever, and keeps water out. Used this stuff in the navy to plug stuffing tubes around wiring going thru bulkheads to keep out water and vermin on ships; good enough for the Navy, good enough for my car.

No more leak

This product worked as intended. My electrical box was leaking and after some investigation i came to the conclusion that it was probably the weather seal on the meter. I replaced it with this and the leak went away!

Great outdoors.

I have mainly used this for sealing penetrations in my 1950's brick exterior walls where coax and electrical cables run. No issues working with this compound and it remains somewhat flexible even in temperature below freezing.

Awesome for pellets and bbs
