Let me tell you, I have tried other brands of brush cleaner even from Sephora, and this one hands down is a really good brush cleaner. I actually look more forward to cleaning my brushes (babes, I have a lot of brushes too) now. I see why it be sold out at my local CVS and Ulta…

Not as pictured

I thought since I bought by the actual company I wouldn’t have to worry about the product. I got 2 bottles which was an excitement as I didn’t know it came with 2 lol. But they are not as pictured. It doesn’t matter but they are different colored and the logo was rubbed off on mine. It makes me feel like it was used prior to me buying it. When cleaning brushes, it did amazing. When cleaning sponges, I gave up after the product wouldn’t come out of the sponge. All my make up utensils are from this brand so you would think it would clean the sponges easier. Regardless of all this, I think it’s handy and would probably repurchase if I can find in a store to know I’m getting new bottles.

Cleans well

I’ve been looking for a good weekly brush cleaner and this is my new go-to. Don’t have to use a ton of product and it rinses out w/o residue. I’m also happy it came in a two-pack. Will buy again.

Best brush cleaner I’ve used

My brushes are like brand new - all the way to the base of the bristles which other cleansers couldn’t seem to get. It’s a very mild scent which I like. Other cleansers I’ve used had a very strong scent which I didn’t like. No residue at all. I’ll be buying again!!

It cleans brushes quickly and easily

I liked how this gel cleans the brushes easily especially foundation and concealer brushes. I used a small drop on the cleaning pad and swirl the bristles of the brush over it after dipping the very tip of the bristles in warm water then I rinse it off facing the brush hair downwards and it become clean as new. It keeps the brush hair soft and I liked that it has a gentle fragrance as I hate strong ones.

Arrived open and spilled

Arrived completely open and spilled out. Wasnt even able to save one drop. Did not get to use it, tho it seems like a would be a good product had I been able to use it.

Waste of money

I have used this twice and both times my brush has gotten so messed up after use I have had to throw the brush away. The scent smells like a chemical not a pleasant scent. Waste of money and I regret buying this.

Worst brush cleaner I’ve ever used

The gel cleanser is horrible and a complete waste of money! It does not lather up whatsoever and doesn’t clean brushes nor sponges. Literally used half the bottle to somewhat decently clean 4 of my brushes. So disappointed and going straight in the trash

Fast and effective low odour brush and sponge cleaner...

In the past I've used mild shampoo to clean my make up brushes. More recently I've been using a proprietary alcohol based brushes and sponges - cleans quickly but releases a very strong chemical odour which is not pleasant. It is important to keep tools clean. Not to do so could mean you're spreading bacteria around your face and your pots and cakes of make up - and this could potentially become a breeding ground for skin problems and spots. This Real Techniques Brush + Sponge Cleansing Gel is very good - it cleans most effectively whilst having barely any odour in use and certainly none on the cleansed items. I like the fact that little is needed of what is a clear quite thin consistency gel. Unlike soap/shampoo and water, this is a relatively low lathering substance. However it cleans really well so unlike soap-based products you're not rinsing away for ages afterwards. I cleaned 4 brushes and a blender sponge today using Real Techniques Gel. Very happy with the performance, it cleaned all the applicators perfectly. Real Techniques is a brand which specialises in make up tools - so the quality and ease of use of this gel designed to keep them clean came as no surprise to me. This 118ml plastic pack with a handy rocker-type dispenser top is priced at £9 at time of writing. I wash my brushes/sponges weekly but in light of how little product is required, this pack should last me quite some time. Reasonably priced, I would recommend it - and I shall be re-ordering.

Very Effective Makeup Brush and Sponge Cleansing Shampoo

This is a really good makeup brush cleansing shampoo which cleans both brushes and sponges really well. I used this brush cleansing shampoo with an automatic brush cleaner and the results were very good. Also when I was in a hurry I just used it by hand and again it gave a very good clean. It’s surprising how little you need to actually get a good deep clean. In the past I have mostly used baby shampoo, although I have tried some other brush cleaners but they were quite oily and never seem to really do the job. This, however, is so much better than either of the other options as not only are the brushes superclean but they are really soft too. I think makeup sponges can be really hard to get all the product off but this made light work of it. I think the price is fair because, as I say, you only need to use a small amount to get a good deep clean so it will probably last quite a while. I would definitely have it again as it is important to keep everything clean and this does the job really well.

Fast cleaning

This brush and sponge cleanser came just in time as my brushes needed a deep clean. I was really excited o try this as I have never cleaned my brushes with proper brush cleaning products. I always use liquid soap or dishwashing liquid. I used it to clean all of my brushes and a few sponges and the results were great. Got rid of all the make residing on my brush and it has made my brushes soft again. Worked within seconds of adding cleaner to the brush. Only a tiny bit of colour was left on my blush brush (heavily covered in bright pink powder), but I really don't mind as it doesn't transfer onto the skin so it is completely clean! Overall, absolutely brilliant product and really no need for one of the textured cleaning pads you can buy too, especially when cleaning eye brushes-this will do the job brill! It is very expensive but you don't need to put a lot of the product as It foams very easily. I am really happy that I came across this product.

It cleans your makeup brushes easy

Absolutely brilliant cleanser. I regularly clean my brushes so the majority of them aren't heavily soiled between washes, but this cleaner is excellent. I do not use expensive brushes. But I am don't trust using soap or something like that on them. To prevent allergies, because my skin is very sensitive. This cleanser came recommended to me by a friend and I'm so glad I tried it. The cleansing gel removed all traces of powder without a problem. It didn't perform well to remove liquid, creams, or gels (foundation, concealer, liner) off my sponges or brushes. You need to add more cleansing gel to make them clean. It leaves brushes soft and super clean, even white coloured bristles are left looking great. Like I said before, I have sensitive skin and often break out in spots if using harsh chemicals, but this hasn't given me any cause for concern.
