Fun 1 or 2 time craft.

This is a fun activity for young crafters. Between the six bags, various sticker sets, and card stock cutout shapes you can glue on (1 stick included), you have a ton of room for creative customization of the puppets. Unless you upgrade the glue, these do not end up all that durable, of course. Which is fine. It's fun to make, and to play with while they last.

Transient Fun

These were a blast. Keep the kids occupied for a whole two days making these puzzles and then for a week or so bringing them out to play with them and pretend. They are not soft though. They are a little bit more than stiff paper bag puppets. Creative but they are not durable or meant to last we don't think. Also they are not very easy to store. But for a creative fun afternoon or two and some days of play they are a nice project and would make a fun gift as well. The kids enjoyed playing with them while they lasted. Made in China.

Fun activity to do with the grandparents

We packed these for our annual cross-country rip to see my in-laws as they enjoy doing a craft with my son every summer. These packed easily as they are nice and flat, making them take up virtually zero space in the luggage. The kits come with everything you need to assemble and decorate each puppet. The included glue is a nice touch, but be prepared to rub a very thick layer each time, as the glue will otherwise not stick. The included instructions were straightforward, but they are more or less a guide, as you really could make these without, just using your creativity in decorating. The bags are thick and durable, like card-stock. The decorative pieces are also made of durable and colorful card-stock.

great craft for rainy days

my daughters love making these types of crafts. they really love the added stickers to customize their puppets. i really love that everything is included in this set. they even included a jumbo glue stick so i didn't even have to buy an extra to finish. i love crafts like this because it gives the kids a break from electronics and i get to spend quality time making stuff with my girls. if you're looking to keep your kids occupied over the cold months this is a great set.

Fun project for kids

This set is nicely presented with all of the parts for each puppet in its own bag. The paper bags are thicker and more durable than I expected. The body parts were precut and made of paperboard. The pieces popped out quickly and easily, so they were no trouble. The set comes with a glue stick which worked well when the glued pieces were firmly placed and allowed time to set before play (hard to do with little ones). My child’s favorite part were the stickers to decorate each character. There was a set of visual “instructions” including suggestions of how to make and decorate each character. The suggestion for the bunny was to have it holding a carrot which makes sense, but the carrot is actually a sticker. Since it is bigger than the hands, that means the sticker extends beyond the paperboard hands. They stick to other things, are thin, and prone to tearing. The cat’s fish was the same way. Overall, this is a nice set and my kids had a lot of fun making them and playing with them after. I think this set is a good value for the quality.

Fantastic for kids!

My toddler absolutely loved this set! We would create one animal at a time if he was stuck inside because of bad weather, or just overall needed something to do. It kept him busy for a good 45 minutes and was always excited to show off what he made. Great crafting set and highly recommended for parents!

Grab some ???? stronger glue

The media could not be loaded. The big glue stick is great and all, easy for kids to use. But my mom and I agree that for the cool heavy cardboard pieces that you're affixing to the paper bag to make your Pets puppet, those likely won't stay on very long when you use the puppet. They stayed on okay while I had it gently singing at the end like we always do, but I think a child might be a little rougher with the use of the puppet and those pieces sticking out aren't likely to stay very long. Maybe it's the same with any glue but you might want to grab some really strong glue so that your kids won't be disappointed when they're handmade creation falls apart pretty quick. Cuz these are puppets, by golly! They need to be played with. The stickers stick on great, you just have to make sure to keep them on the whole backing before you try to take them off, or it's practically impossible to remove them, with our fingers anyway. That's another thing I'm sure would frustrate a kid or child, boy or girl. Or the young at heart like us haha. These Ready to Learn arts and crafts kits are really fun, I've gotten more than one now. I noticed that if you have the really big kit that has a variety of arts and crafts in it you will get at least a couple of duplicates if you get a separate smaller kit, but that's okay. That components are really nice. The printed cardboard pieces press out really easily and are as colorful as the stickers. I noticed that we should have stuck the arms and legs to the top part of the bag, for them to show when you stick your hand in. The paper bags are pretty heavy duty. This would make a nice gift, too. The recloseable boxes they come in are great. Visual diagram instructions. (Show you all in photos and video ) Hope you have as much fun and joy making these as my mom and I mostly did making the blue bunny today. Enjoy puppeteering all.

Daughter loves these and loves putting on "shows" with them

My daughter (4 years old) had a great time putting these together. After they were all put together, she puts on puppet shows with them. They have held up so far to being used by a 4 year old and being tossed around, so that's good. The included bags are thick and the pieces are somewhere between a heavy cardstock and a light cardboard.
