Great for little league
Straight answer it's a score book for baseball, not fancy but works great.

Best bet if you need a lot of batters; little else about which to be excited.
This is a decent scorebook. It's not spectacular, but it does certain things reasonably well. It's principal benefit is the number of batters: it gives seventeen batting slots, with two substitute lines for each. In a softball or rec league where you can bat more than 9 or 10 and may have a lot of substitutions, the extra space is a significant benefit. The boxes for each play are, generally speaking, large enough to use effectively. Each box has a set of pre-written play outcomes for the scorer to circle. Some people like that. I tend to think they simply get in the way, leaving not quite enough room to score non-default outcomes like errors and fielder's choices. There is also not a labeled RBI space, just a blank circle in the lower right-hand corner of each box: is that for outs, or RBIs? Any given scorer could use it for either, but without more someone filling in for the regular scorekeeper or looking at the book afterwards will have a hard time figuring out the system. Another limitation is that there are only nine innings. For what this book is good for, rec-league softball, that should be fine: even if a team takes up three columns in a couple of innings, it will likely run-rule the other team before you would need to go past the 9th. But what if both teams hit like that in a single game? Then your six- or seven-inning game could easily run out of space. I have yet to see that, however; so the nine-inning format should suffice. Finally, a final gripe about the layout: the book has a generally quite good stats column on the right side of the page. But its columns run thus: "AB, Runs, Hits, etc." I have never seen "runs" sandwiched in between "at bats" and "hits" like that. It made entering and tabulating the batting data substantially more difficult than it needed to be. Finally, the reviewers who complain about the spirals are correct: the rings are a bit too small for the pages to turn without catching (or to stick a pencil in). As the season wears on the tops of the pages get fouled where they turn. It is also too big to fit into many bags. It doesn't flop, and it's easy to see and read, but be prepared to have to carry it around by hand.

Too big to be convenient, no extra innings
I didn't read the description carefully and was really surprised by the size of this score book. Expected it to be 8.5x11 like others I've purchased in the past. I liked the idea of it being top bound which is why I selected it. My fault for not checking I guess but I don't know why anyone would make a scorebook this size. It is very awkward and hard to use as it doesn't fit easily in your lap. Unless you are an official scorekeeper sitting at a scorekeeper's table it's a hassle. It also only has 9 innings. If you get an extra inning game or one team bats around in an inning you have no place to go.

Large scorebook makes it easier to score
The score pages are large allowing for lots of scoring information. Also allows for large player rosters.

Great value, but willing to pay more for a vital piece
I really do like everything about what's in this scorebook, but the one thing I would change would be either a much much thicker front and back, or even some sort of ability to attach a piece of hardboard (almost like the front or back cover of a hardcover book). I would honestly rather pay an extra $5 and get that.

Good scorecard
It has all the stat boxes I need. I have been keeping score since I was 10 and have been searching for the best book since. I thought the boxes would be bigger and darker ..LOL , I am 60 now and apparently need large print. but it's a good product. Maybe not a big market for seniors that keep score of every baseball game but I will have to try and design one unless it already exists.

Just what I was looking for.
Prompt shipping. Just what I was looking for. Only problem is: Insufficient pages to complete our season of 21 games. (We record the opposing team stats also).

Book is very large.
I don’t have any criticisms but the book itself is very large in size. Other than that there isn’t anything I wasn’t expecting. It’s easy to read and use.

but 17 players by nine innings is not as useful as, say
As described, but 17 players by nine innings is not as useful as, say, 10 players by 17 innings. Nobody really cares about pitch counts except those in the game or for _really_ detailed statistics, which could be available elsewhere. Fans who keep score at home, imo, don't need pitch counts. Also, for a book you order online, 20 games per book is a bit skimpy, which is why I ordered 3. Next time I will find a different product with fewer players and more innings, , and perhaps a few more pages.

Liked book! Only drawback I could see
Liked book! Only drawback I could see, was a minor problem of my own making. When I score, I use rollerball pens exclusively. The thickness of the scoresheet paper becomes an issue. The pens, almost always, blot the next page. Overall, as I said, more than satisfied with product.
