Great beginner balls, but wear out quickly
My son learned to catch and hit with these, and both activities are *much* safer and less painful than when using real (hard) baseballs. These held up nicely for 2 seasons in a row, but the 3rd year suddenly the the covers started to crack and flake off. The transformation was pretty quick - in our first real batting practice session we basically destroyed the whole box. That being said, normal balls wear out too, and the value for these is really tough to be beat even if I'm replacing them twice as often. And honestly as a total non-pro who just wants to support his kid, it's just so much more enjoyable for me to practice with these balls that don't sting like crazy if you hit or catch outside the sweet spot. So despite the lower durability I just bought a second box.

Training ball
Good for new t ball players so it will not hurt them much but a little bouncy and be hard to stop or catch at first. There are training balls and some leagues may not like it much to use during their games. It does appear safe for the players though.

Damaged shipment
I bought this as a gift for my Grandson's Birthday Party. The balls look great but the box was severely damaged, both on the front and the back, with one of the balls hanging out when I picked up the package. Very disappointed. There was no protective box or wrapper around the package, and it had obviously been mishandled in shipping. Again, very disappointed to give a gift like this to my Grandson.

My favorite ball for T-Ball and Coach Pitch.
I'm just finishing my first season of coaching a rookie (coach pitch) team. We went through all the balls the league gave us pretty quickly so I bought these as well. I do notice that when I reach in the mixed bucket to pick a ball I like these the best. They are soft which is a plus when you are throwing at a 5 year old. I try and throw a little harder than the rest of the coaches to keep the ball flat so a soft ball nice. It's especially nice when the bigger kids hit it screaming back at you and you are only 12 feet away. A good tip, keep the 5 gallon bucket of balls in front of you at least there is a chance it will it the bucket instead of you! I also like this ball better than the others when you have to invariably accept failure as a pitcher and drag out the tee for one of the kids. The MLB logo is a perfect thing to have the kids focus on when they are swinging at the ball on the tee. On accepting failure, as a coach pitcher it is your job to hit the bat of the swinging kid, not the kid's job to hit your pitch. So if they don't hit it, it's your fault for missing their bat! Of the three different types of balls we used this season this one is my favorite.

So great we bought a second box!
These balls are great for t ball! We loved them so much we bought a second box! I have seen some reviews where some people were having trouble with them falling apart. If you are hitting them 90 miles an hour like a real ball with a real bat or leaving them out in the weather then yes they will start to fall apart. They are meant for 3-5 year olds & t ball bats!

Lower Quality than Expected from Rawlings
Rawlings used to make a great baseball, and maybe they still do for the older "real" balls, but these are garbage. Out of round, overlapped cover, gaps in stitching, inconsistent density from panel to panel. I hope these last a season of peewee practice. If doing over I'd spend the extra money on MacGregor SafeSoft 5s which are our "Game balls" and much higher quality.

These are the ones to buy, whether you are teaching your child or coaching. They have the feel and near weight of a real hardball, but are soft and safe. And this is the place to get them. Best price I have seen anywhere by far.

Great ball
It wasn't what I was expecting, I was expecting a softball (they are larger) this was actually the same size as a normal baseball, just softer. However it did not disappoint, my young people had an amazing time at our softball social and no one got hurt and it was not painful to catch so, overall very happy!
