Rip stop cotton

A little floppy. Tough material. You can trim the brim down a bit with scissors and it will look cool and not so floppy. I wear 7 1/8 and 7 1/4 fits fine after wash cold and sun dry

Nice value

As many others have mentioned, the hat size runs large, although, in my case, it was only slightly larger, and I may wash and dry it to shrink slightly for a more snug fit in the future but as it is now it's perfectly acceptable. I wish the chin strap was short like it is in the picture, as the one that came with mine is ridiculously long, about 21"! Don't believe another reviewer who stated that there is no ventilation in these hats, because there are definitely vent holes. Overall, the hat is a keeper but I'm going to find a way to shorten the strap some day, as it's kind of silly the way it is now.

My dog gives it 5 stars!

Just got the hat last week before a much anticipated weekend camping trip with my wife. Wore the hat all weekend long and it served me well. The fit was just right....snug to the head, but not to the point of giving me a headache. Just enough brim to keep the Sun out of my eyes while not restricting my eyesight looking up. The hat tends to run a bit warm on the head, but not too terribly bad. I'm used to wearing bandanas and the hat is a bit heavier than they are. Most likely it's just me and I need to acclimate to it. What I loved most is that it kept the tree pollen off my head. Everything...and I mean EVERYTHING was covered in pollen, including the hat, so I gave it a hand washing and put it out on the front porch to dry. This morning I went to get my hat and it was GONE! Seems my faithful four legged 'best friend' decided it was a MUCH better chew toy for him than a hat for me. Luckily the chin strap took the worst of it. I'm not much for chin straps so the decision to keep it or remove it was made for me. The brim has a couple spots where teeth met fabric, but it gives it a used feel and makes the hat look like it's seen more 'combat' than it really has. Over all I like the hat very much. Badger and I both give it five full stars!

Very comfortable and while keeps the sun out

I recommend this product especially on hot days. Keeps the sun off your head and has a real comfortable feel.

Good quality, I recommend buying!

Ordered three of these for my boys and me and I’m really happy. They are good quality, comfortable, built well and look like they will last. The patterns and colors are quality and spot on. My only negative it they are run on the large side on the fit. After washing in hot water they shrunk down for a better fit but a wind gust will pop them off. Good thing they have the lanyard, with a real leather cinch up piece. I recommend these ????????

3 stars for inconsistency

I have another RAPDOM boonie hat in woodland camo which fits perfectly. Different color but same size ( a medium) as the one i ordered in black. The black one runs a bit big (the hat goes over my ears amd does not fit as snuggly) and the material seems to be slightly different from the woodland camo one i have. This one in black seems to be a thinner cotton and actually weighs less than the camo one. Its noticeable even by holding it. I also notice that the black one was made in Bangladesh, but the woodland camo one was made in China. This may have something to do with the different materials. RAPDOM is eithed manufacturing them a bit differently or buying from two seperate suppliers. All in all this hat is okay but not as good as my other one. I give 3 stars because the hat is still good, but the inconsistency between two hats of the same size and material (100% cotton) makes it annoying as a customer to receive the hat and have them fit and feel different. I was a second time buyer because i wanted the same quality as my previous purchase, but I'm left disappointed. Also since there are only 3 sizes, exchanging for a small would likely do nothing as this one is just barely too big.

Buy The best Rapiddominance hat .the digital woodland and forget the others

If you buy a Rapid Dominance hat buy the digital woodland. The regular old style woodland and olive hats have thinner brims, insanely long stamped strings and are second rate in quality when compared with the Digital Woodland which has a heavier brim and shorter string for tightening the hat. The material even feels thicker.

Quality Boonies

I ordered one in khaki & one in woodland - both were identical in size & quality. Seller promptly shipped, & items were well-packaged. RD's boonies are very good quality especially when considering the super reasonable prices. The brims are as described & just as I wanted. The crown could be more rounded & not so high - personal preference & not a deal-breaker. Hats are soft, comfortable & a bit floppy, but that's why I purchased them. Many thanks to the seller & Amazon for excellent customer service!

He comprado varios colores y tallas, a excepción de un verde olivo que parece más grande de lo que indica la talla de la etiqueta, los demás (caqui, digital universal y woodland digital) encajan perfecto, la calidad del algodón es buena, y la hechura muy bien cuidada, la correa es un poco larga, pero puede guardarse al interior o acomodarse en la cinta de camuflaje. Es práctica, puede doblarse y guardarse, doblar el ala hacia arriba y sujetarla con la correa. Me han gustado mucho. Adquirí este ultimo boonie woodland digital porque me ha parecido un producto de muy buena calidad. éste no es la excepción. Esta tiene una etiqueta roja con la letra blanca que dice rapdom y la correa es más corta, mucho mejor, tiene diferencias en cuanto a su forma de los demás que he comprado, este woodland está hecho en china, parece de un algodón mas grueso, es excelente, creo que es de lo mejor en este tipo de sombreros.
