Quality product
I had ordered a set years ago, obviously from a different company. It came with a strip of metal and some instructions. So, that’s what I was expecting from this set (no, I didn’t research it - I was ordering while at lunch when my boss said she wished she could make cookies with our logo. So, I searched Amazon and ordered the first set that offered “buy now” and then told her that I would have a cookie cutter in her hands in about a week. Anyway, this set contains a MUCH higher quality, heavier gauge metal strip, a work board, 2 sizes round shaping tools, a tool with two different pointed ends, and super sticky tape to secure the ends together. The only problem I had was shaping our logo, which is pretty detailed, but it turned out really well. For someone who has never done this, I would recommend watching some YouTube videos on making cookie cutters. Another hint. I printed our logo and taped it to a piece of plywood. I put nails at each of the turns so that I could get sharp, straight lines.

Takes some practicing
Love that this gives you the chance to get creative with your own shapes, but it takes some practicing to get the right shape. The sheet metal is thin and takes easily takes shape, and once it’s bent, it’s hard to get it back to a smooth shape/edge. It’s also hard to get the same smoothness/shape on both ends (the bottoms side that goes into the cookie and the top part that you press down). Once the shape is completed and sealed, there’s no protection for the top of the cookie cutter to protected your hand while pushing it down to cut. I recommend putting something on top to press if you are cutting thicker dough

Worked great but not as sturdy as store bought
I used this to make a special cookie cutter to look like a chasuble. There were many folds in the garment and it took me some time to get the shape right. I found the bending tools that came with it somewhat helpful. A more simpler shape would have been a breeze. I was able to make some great cookies with the end result. The cutter material is not as sturdy as ones you buy but the thinner material makes it easier to bend and shape. If handled carefully, this should last.

Pass on this and buy two other things
I bought this kit so I could make medium-size cutters to supplement the Christmas cutters that I already had. It seemed like all of the premade or 3D printed options for sale were either too big or too expensive. So I looked into making cookie cutters. I found a lot of information through Google but I was hoping for a little more instruction or guidance. This kit did not do that at all. The instructions consist of “Start bending the metal strip, using the various bending tools.… You may also use household items for bending as well: cans, jars, glasses. You will need to experiment with the tools until you get just the right angles and bends.” So, in the end, I found the needle nose pliers to be the most helpful. (Not in the kit, must buy separately). Shout out Patti Paige’s YouTube video. As another reviewer mentioned, aluminum is very stiff and difficult to bend. It took me an entire afternoon to do 3 fairly simple designs. Not sure if that’s the way the cookie crumbl— I mean—that’s the way aluminum is. I have a picture where you can notably see the pre-purchased cutters have thinner metal So $20.00 kit for 6ft of aluminum is a pretty bad deal. I would say this tool is really only useful if you have small curves in your designs. So you can use the cylinder shaping tools

Not really useful
I thought this seemed like a good deal with the 6' of aluminium and shaping plate, but I found it to be difficult to use to get the shapes that I needed. I will draw a template for the shape i want and use that to make bends in the aluminum but that is difficult to do using the plates. I am not easily able to use the template with the plate. Also, the aluminum strip doesn't have a bended edge which makes the shape feel flimsy and easily distorted. I've made cookie cutters in the past using pliers and other items around the house which i think is much easier and I can find 10' aluminum strip with a bended edge for <$10.

Works great
The tools were so very useful. I made a cookie cutter for an even up coming. There is no way to buy a cookie cutter so specialized. This was great. The cookies will be the hit of the party.

easy to use
Product is easy to use. I find that I only use the 1 long tapered tool to do my bending. If you plan on making a bunch of cookie cutters, be aware that the amount of metal is enough to create only a few cookie cutters. I purchased addition rolls of metal. The metal included in this box 'doesn't' have a rolled edge, so it easy to bend/shape. You can order the same metal strip... or there are also metal strips that have rolled edges on Amazon... that are more sturdy / a little more challenging to bend intricate cookie designs.

easy to use
Handy little kit, easy to use. Besides of its simplicity i find it a bit pricey, maybe because its quiet a novelty so not many competing brands - i was searching for something like this a good while when i came across this one and i did not find any other kit on the whole net similar to this. As soon as i got it i tested it on a quiet sophisticated shape, a leaf with complicated details and all the serrations and - voila, success! So now i have a fantastic detailed cutter nowhere to be found in the world of pre-made cutters! Ofcourse is not for a cookie. For unique jewellery making. Shame i did not make a photo of it, i could upload it now. To to say the least, i am more than pleased. I recommend it to everyone crafty and dextrous.

Fun and Effective
Wonderful product, very easy to use and shape. Easily made 4 medium size yet intricate designs and could make a fifth. Lots of fun. Ideal for creative people and the odd occasion where traditional cookie cutters just won't do. The cost for the material is a tad high, but it is a fully customizable cookie cutter maker.

Does the job!
Nothing fancy but does the job. Tools worked pretty good. We were able to create 2 cutters that we weren't able to find anywhere. Have enough left for at least 3 or 4.

excellent product!
I bought this to make my own ceramic jewelry on a slightly larger scale than hand cutting. This product is awsome!! Only drawback to it, is that unlike commercially make cutters, you have a sharpish edge on the top, however, this is also an asset as it means your shape is reversible. What I did to protect my hands (clay is a lot harder than biscuit dough and fondue), is I used a flat object like an old credit card to cover the shape and then pushed down. I would recommend this if you are baking with children and you want the shape to remain reversible.
