Look as pictured but smell

I love the way these look but they had a very bad smell when I opened the packaging. It was bad enough that I didn't think I'd end up being able to use them. I tried washing them multiple times with no luck. Then I covered them in baking soda for 3 days and that seemed to remove the smell. Now I love these dice!

Ornate and Thematic

Pros: Intricate and pretty, these dice have fascinating patterns and thematic vine-like lettering. They roll easily but have enough weight not to go wild. The beige is a bit paler than the picture, but it nicely complements the black, giving them a somewhat stone-like appearance. Cons: My only complaint is that you might need to squint in low light conditions. The numbers are readable in good lightning, but I had to take a second glance at them once or twice when testing how they rolled. Conclusion: I wouldn't recommend these for the visually impaired, but those with decent eyesight and a nature-oriented character would get tremendous enjoyment out of them.

Hard to read, especially on the six. Still pretty tho.

They are very pretty dice, especially for the price. They feel very close to wood and have lovely leaf designs covering them. The only problem is they are extremely difficult to read, making them aesthetically pleasing to have in your dice set, but pretty bad for games where everyone is waiting for you to decipher your fancy dice. I try to use them, but it can be very inconvenient.

BEAUTIFUL Dice

I wanted a few novelty dice for my dice bag. I play alot of Tabletop RPGs and it's nice to have some decorative dice every now and then. But the numbers are very hard to read, especially the D20. The detail is amazing and simply beautiful. The amount of artistry that someone put into this design is incredible. The little vines and leafs have perfect detail and they are a pleasure to look at, however, they are difficult to read especially in low lighting. I will be keeping this set simply because the designs on the dice faces are so pretty. The dice do feel lighter than my other standard dice, but not enough for me never to use this set. And they are a standard size as well. The packaging was nice, but honestly this is for dice that sit on the shelves to entice One to buy the set. Overall, the set is beautiful and I am glad I bought it.

Pretty dice that have issues

I got some green Forest dice last year and liked them so much I now bought a beige set. I enjoy having them, but I admit they have issues. First, as many people note about Q Workshop dice, they are lighter than usual. Chucking them is a bit less satisfying, but they are not so light that it affects their performance. It's just a trade-off I'm willing to accept to sometimes use dice with a really interesting look. A second issue is visibility of the numbers. That actually varies a lot among the different dice. The d6 is legible from across the table, and it's only the d20 that makes me squint. Another difference is that the light beige dice are much easier to read than the dark green. If you don't need a full polyhedral set, you might be better off ordering individual dice directly from the Q Workshop web site. The third big issue is sticky dice. My beige set had a strong, sweet smell like honey, felt gummy, and left my fingers feeling sticky. This is indication that the plasticizer is seeping out of the plastic. You can't wash it off with detergent and alcohol probably won't do anything either. You need to use paint thinner. Soak a paper towel with it and scrub the dice vigorously. You will also see a bit of the black paint come off, so you want to be careful not to go too far with it. After cleaning mine, they still smelled a bit, so I let them sit in baking soda for a couple days and that eliminated the smell. The baking soda just pulls the aromatic molecules off the surface, so the smell may return as more migrate to the surface. In a situation like this, you need to store the plastic so that it can breath, so not in a sealed plastic container. Q Workshop makes some of the most interesting dice on the market, but they do seem to have a quality control problem. I have a Halloween Pumpkin set that looks as good as the pictures, but also a Galactic set that doesn't. I haven't heard about of the other models being sticky, just the Forest dice. If you get a new set and they don't smell sweet or feel sticky, then you got a good batch and you don't need to worry. If the dice are sticky, then there is probably no way to totally fix them. Edit 2022: After nearly two years, the smell and stickiness hasn't noticeably come back, so I would call the cleaning a practically permanent fix.

Look great, dice had strange smell

Awesome dice that look great! Giving them 4 stars because they had a very strong chemical scent coming out of the box. I put them in baking soda overnight, which seems to have solved the issue.

First, they are pretty. I used them and found the experience rewarding though the numbers were not easily read. I have keens eyes so it was no hindrance for me. That is the only down side. They are light weight also.

Perfect dice for a Druid or Ranger! Some of my less trustworthy teammates are any huge fan because they can't read my dice over my shoulder. But honestly I'm kind of a fan because they're nosey. other than having to pick the dice up or laying in a little bit to look at the number just a little bit more closely they're perfectly readable and very beautiful. They make an awesome gift for your nature themed D&D partymember ????

Muy bonitos

Dados muy bonitos, con una legibilidad mejor de lo que parece a primera vista en las imágenes. Si eres un coleccionista, te gusta ir cambiando de dados o si quieres mantener tus tiradas acorde con tu personaje si llevas alguien relacionado con la naturaleza, son perfectos. No parecen estar mal equilibrados en lo que he podido probarlos hasta ahora, pero tampoco los he usado tanto como para detectar un patrón concreto. Si tengo que decir algo negativo, siendo muy tiquismiquis, la textura es un poco rara al principio, pero nada que uno no se acostumbre al rato de usarlos. Detecto, además, cierto olor extraño en mi caja de dados desde que los tengo, pero no sé si son por estos dados o por otros (el set macabro), que entraron en la colección más o menos a la vez.

Bellissimi

Particolarissimo set di dadi a tema "foresta". Volevo dei dadi degni di un druido, e questi sono perfetti. Ai primi tiri ho dovuto aguzzare un po' la vista perché i numeri a volte si confondono fra loro (sono in una sorta di corsivo), ma dopo un po' si impara a riconoscerli. Insieme a questo set ho ricevuto un d6 extra di colore azzurro della casa Q Workshop e un segnalibro molto carino. Consiglio questi dadi a chiunque cerchi qualcosa di speciale e che non si trova alle fiere, perché sono una vera chicca ;)

Belli ma....

Dadi bellissimi e ben bilanciati, coerenti come da descrizione. L'unica cosa è che, appena ho aperto il pacco si è sprigionato un terribile odore, probabilmente causato dal mix di materiali, caldo e confezionamento. da 3 giorni li ho messi fuori il balcone all'ombra per farli arieggiare e la cosa per fortuna sembra funzionare, ma ancora c' è qualche residuo. Peccato non aver ricevuto il dado omaggio come altri clienti, ci speravo... per il resto tutto ok.

Casi perfectos

Están muy bien hechos sin embargo entre más caras tenga el dado se hace un poco más difícil leer los números, después de un tiempo te acostumbras y los lees más rápido aunque algunos números siguen siendo algo confusos, también son un poco más ligeros que los dados promedio pero esto no es ningún inconveniente.

Molto belli

Comprati come regalo per una persona appassionata di dadi, ne è rimasto estasiato. Sono più belli che funzionali, ma fanno la loro figura e sono molto particolari. Per il resto boh. Sono dadi. Rotolano, e dopo un po' si fermano.
