My favorite brush!

I love how this brush cuts in. Works perfect for painting trim. As it is smaller, you don't get as much paint on your brush making wall to ceiling cuts easier.

im no expert but......

i dont paint much so maybe its been somewhat of a curse that i have always taken pretty good care of my crappy el cheapo brushes and used them every few years when i need them but thank gawd i finally decided to buy this brush for cutting in after struggling with a cheap brush for doing half the interior painting of my house and let me tell you this brush is worlds better than the cheap brushes ive always used i wont go into details but the sections painted with my new brush look better and it made the task of cutting in so much less frustrating and laborious! i cant say how it compares to other brushes in this price range but i can say without a doubt this brush is well worth the money spent compared to a lifetime of cheap brushes!

These brushes are the greatest. None other that I have used even comes close to purdy.

Great for people with trouble doing cut ins/edges.

Great for very detailed/ cut in work but doesn't hold a lot of paint. If you're not good at cut ins get this brush it will help you emensly. If you are a more experienced painter, get a thicker/larger cut in brush so you can cover more ground more quickly with better coverage

Top of the line trim brush.

Purdy makes a top of the line brush and this angled trim brush is no exception. This high quality, durable brush is the very best choice for trim work. I am repainting the interior of my home and there is a lot of trim work. This brush has delivered. Very highly recommend this product.

but a good brush that much is clear

Not quite as life changing as some might have you believe, but a good brush that much is clear. We had builders in for a few weeks and they were raving about them, so for a load of internal decorating I had to do, I tried it. I'm not mad on the long handle (not that I have to use it) but there is no question you can cut into edges very effectively with this. I am an "enthusiastic / experienced amateur" and I can do corners now with a razor sharp edge with this brush, it's all in the holding your breath and splaying the brush - watch a few youtube videos for "cutting in". Only reason I am marking it down a notch is that (i) it's expensive (ii) I've been using it for a number of weeks now across several internal jobs and despite much cleaning it is stiffening up a bit. I will accept this might simply be lots of usage or poor cleaning on my part but I expected a bit more longevity. But if you have some painting to do where accuracy is key, no question this will do the job. I think I would buy again.

Worth the money

In my opinion the Purdey range of brushes/rollers/extensions are well worth the extra over B&Q/Wickes brands. Harris doesn't come close to these and they are only a little cheaper. This range of brushes (with emulsion or other water based paints) can be used repeatedly without a drop off in quality of finish so pay for themselves after a few uses. More importantly, the paintwork finish is perfect.

You have to pay for quality

Good well balance brush, fantastic for cutting in. It is a long time since I purchase a brush that hardly lost any bristles on it's first few days of use.

Good Quality but expensive for what you get

Thinner than the other brushes in this range which was a surprise given its high cost but it does the job so no real complaints
