Outlets
The outlets are loose. When plugging my phone charger in, it barely stays in place. Just moving the charger slightly, no power. First time I've had this problem with a power strip. I will definitely not buy another one. I brought this one, because of GE.

Nice surge protector.
So far so good with this surge protector. Like many reviewers on here, I also had some difficulty plugging my appliances into it. But with firm pressure they did go in. From a comment left by the manufacturer or seller, on a reviewers comment, it is to protect against kids accidentally pulling them out? I didn’t feel like I was using a whole lot of force to the point something could be damaged so all is good. The plug is a flat plug that lays parallel to the wall. This means you will need to use the lower outlet, so that the other outlet is available to use for something else. Also, please read the instructions. Apparently you are supposed to have the surge protector on “off” and then plug it in. After that plugging in the appliances and THEN turning the surge protector on. I have never done this with others so there must be a reason for it. The other thing I noticed is that the manufacturer has written in very tiny letters on the bottom flap of the box where it is very inconspicous, the California Prop comment about the material causing birth defects and cancers etc. this is NOT in the comments of the Amazon description at all. I believe that it is something that needs to be addressed by Amazon and updated in the description. I mention this for those people who do watch for these comments and have a concern about it. All in all I think this is going to be a better surge protector for the bedroom. I had a wonderful one from Monoline (and will keep it) but the two long green “runway” lights on it prevented good sleep with it’s the constant glow.

High pitched ringing sound coming from the end with USB ports.
I bought the one with USB ports and the end. The end with the USB ports rings in a high pitched squeal when plugged in. I am more bothered by these sounds than most people but I don't want that sound in the room where I had this so I decided to replace it with another. Update: I bought the one without USB ports and it is silent even when plugged in. If you are trying to avoid the noise just get this product without USB and it is great. I will take a couple of stars off because they should have made the USB ports not ring on my first purchase.

IT WORKED!
Bought to replace an identical unit that did it's job. The old one gave it's life properly protecting connected equipment when a large inductive load collapsed, creating a back surge throughout the system. Absolutely worked!

GE - A Name you can Trust
Purchased this surge protector because our old one recently wasn't working well after 5 plus years of use. Main reason why we purchased this GE Surge Protector was because of the name General Electric. We have had other products that were manufactured by GE that literally lasted a lifetime. In addition, we like the fact that it came with 3000 joules protection assuring us that our electronic equipment plugged in will be protected for many years to come. Yes, the plugs are a little hard to plug into but this is because of the child safety features that this surge protector has. Please read the instruction before use to find out how to operate this surge protector. Although this comes with 10 outlets and 2 Usb ports, this is more than plenty for us as we don't plan to utilize all the outlets but its good to have them available if needed. The USB charging ports are a bonus as it helps to keep our iphones and iPads fully charged with minimal power. Very satisfied with our purchase. Hope to purchase a second one for our home office very soon.

el producto es bueno, pero tiene un enchufe como flojo y no sirve, yo no uso todos asi q esta bien pero si es un defecto de fabrica, el color esta bonito y el material no se ve tan corriente, hasta ahorita todo bien salvo el detalle que comento.
