Wide grip on bars
A great addition to add to your arsenal for a different feel and added strength through grip strength.

Nice for cable work
Using these on my metal D handle cable grips. Good effect added to many movements. Good size grip and I like the cross hatching. I have big hands so can't advise those with smaller ones (I know that call be an issue).

Excellent product
This was something I was interested in trying for a long time and for the price who couldn't give it a go right? Using the grips is easy and they fit well on my dumbbell set. There is a a slight gap when placed around the bar but this is acceptable and does not interfere with he primary function of burning out your forearms; and this it does very well. I also like the slight chamfer on the inside edg as this fits nicely over the dumbbell collar. Overall your forearms will 'not' thank you as they scream for mercy! For the price, how could you go wrong?

Dumbbell improvement
I chose to review these because in my home gym, we have these sort of awful dumbbells with narrow grips. I would have been on the verge of replacing them with nicer dumbbells, but thanks to COVID 19 that isn't happening any time soon due to the scarcity of dumbbells in general. One thing I like to do with dumbbells are renegade rows, which is where you are in a plank position, but have a dumbbell in each hand, and you row it so your elbow points to the ceiling. Not that bad when you have a vinyl coated dumbbell with a slightly wider grip in your hands, but almost impossible with my super cheap iron dumbbells. So I put these on, and they are easier to use for this purpose, but the grip is now so wide for my smaller hand, that I'm not sure if this has improved my situation for me. I used to use cut up yoga mat pieces for hand padding. That still wasn't enough cushion but it was something. For me, I don't think I would use these for bicep curls or anything, but maybe great for somebody with larger hands. The grip itself is super dense, as described by the manufacturer. It is solid silicone and they weigh 6.25 ounces each. They fit around the grip of my dumbbells perfectly, and leave a small 1/2" gap (see picture of my lovely orange duct taped dumbbells) but that is easy to work around. The duct tape was my husband's idea, as the original silver paint was chipping off. I measured the diameter of my dumbbell with the silicone grip on and it is 6-1/2". I will continue to play with these grips as I think they are pretty neat and I might have more uses for them in my gym that I haven't found yet. All in all I think they are a good idea and a good addition to my home gym.

These are a “No” for me!
The product is thick and well-made, so I’ll give it that much. However, if you have small hands, you won’t be able to grasp these thick grips well. Larger hands should have less of a problem. I also don’t care for the gap in the grip, which can become uncomfortable depending on where it is felt on your hands. The reason I tried these was to help with cushioning when I’m doing extended presses with a heavy bar because I have a scar from surgery running through my right palm that is painful when pressure is applied. I would never use these grips for hand held weights, but I thought they’d be perfect for Les Mills type heavy bar lifting. I’d never be able to pull off a clean and press with these grips because my hands are too small to go all of the way around, so I lose my hold on the bar. Finally, because of the thickness of these grips, you are forced to hold on tighter, which takes a lot of the work from the muscles you’re targeting and puts it in the forearms. Not good. I tend to hold my weights loosely in order to work the muscles I’m targeting and avoid co-contractions in the forearms. Tightly gripping weights is not advisable…this coming from a personal trainer whose lifted weights for 30 years without injury! I guess if you want big bulgy forearms and have big hands, these grips would be ideal. I’ll pass!

Pretty Good Grips!
Not bad grips for the money. They work pretty good and do provide a larger gripping surface when applied to your barbell and/or dumbbells. They don't seem to move much in use if you are gripping them correctly and in the end should provide the necessary support I am looking for. I do thing these could be designed just slightly better to more fully encompass the bar so the gap once on isn't as wide. It's not bad and is similar to more well known brands but these seem just a tiny bit wider. So far this hasn't caused me any safety concerns but if you don't grab just right you will be annoyed by the way they feel with this grip void. I will keep using these as I mentioned they should get the job done like any other grips and will see how they hold up to daily use. Overall I would say these make a good buy and will hammer your forearms to bits (in a good way) when used regularly.

These are much thicker than they look like in the photo
These dumbbell grips are much thicker than I anticipated. They are so thick that it's hard to even open them up enough to put them around a dumbbell handle. I would not purchase again.
