This works great once you add the buckles...

I took the advice from another review where they had cut the straps and added in 2" wide snap buckles. This is an extra $7.96 and made this belt so easy. I just flip it around me and snap the buckle. Great belt with the addition of the buckle. I wouldn't want to mess with adjusting the velcro while trying to fight a fish. comfortable front pad

All of these belts are pretty much the same. pad and pockets all do the job. This one has a medium weight belt that seems nicely made. Problem with all of them is the belt always comes around straight from the pad. Should be angled upward in the back and wider to stay in place instead of sliding down around your butt as soon as you put any pressure on the front while fighting a fish.

Will it help bring in the big one?

Husband is going on a fishing trip out to the Gulf Stream. He bought it just for this trip. Let's hope he has a reason to use it.

Great fighting belt, but order 2 inch belt buckle set with it.

This is a great fighting belt, but the long velcro belt to attach to your waist is clumsy and hard to get snug. I ordered 2 inch backpack belt snap buckles to attach to the belt ends, and they went on easily and the velcro folded onto itself to create a factory fit...absolutely perfect! Once I sized it for my waist, it's just a quick snap of the buckle ends and you're in business. The belt is 2 inches wide, so get 2 inch backpack buckle set...

Great value with a little mod

Very comfortable. Very long straps. I didn't like the Velcro at all (too loose and awkward). So I fixed it by adding a $12, 2", tactical buckle, and removing the Velcro.

Works great

I use it for long days perch fishing. We have pretty rough surf with large rollers where I live even on calm days , so have to continually hold a 13 foot rod an reel, can get heavy after a few hours. Works perfectly i even jury rigged a clip to attach to my life jacket so I can leave pole in holder attach clip to D ring and adjust/change bait without having to leave the water or try juggling a rod with one hand while messing with a hook an bait as I’m getting slammed by waves.

This Is A Very Nice Belt!

I bought this for my 8 year old grandson for when we fish off shore. It’s well padded and has wrap around strapping to spare. The Velcro makes it much faster to put on than buckles. I also like that you can remove the screw in the rod handle hole as it gives you an extra inch to seat your rod.

Sweet deal!!

What an amazing Amazon find!! Was gonna buy at a local big box store, found on Amazon for over half off the asking price!! Fit finish and comfort is there for me that use it more small to medium size fish... up to 50 lbs. I am 6’2” 240 and the base fits fine and have plenty lot extra strap. Ordering another as a back up at the low price. And when I buy the second it’s stil cheaper than one at the big box store!!!

Útil y resistente

En general es buen producto y diseño. Brinda comodidad al momento de la pelea, apoyando la caña en la cintura sin que te lastime al mismo tiempo que tienes un punto de apoyo firme para hacer palanca. Tiene el pasador gimbal removible para poder usarlo con cañas de ambos tipos. Le di 4 estrellas ya que la forma de ajustarlo al ancho de cada uno es con velcro, lo que dificulta para uno solo ajustarlo sin ayuda de alguien mas. Además, los velcros generalmente se desgastan después de ciertos usos y pierden agarre. Creo que pudieron elegir un broche que permitiera recorrer la medida fácilmente y lo haría más práctico para que varias personas lo utilicen en la misma salida a pescar.
