Overall a pretty nice pitcher

This pitcher does pretty much what I want it to do. My one complaint is that you do not get a complete seal if you rotate the cap, say, about 60 degrees or so. Some of the slits in the cap that allow liquid to flow are still exposed. The amount of exposure is small, so maybe it's not a problem per se, but if the cap were contoured to fit flush against that part of the rim, no holes would be exposed. One reviewer complained that the cap is hard to remove. If you push down on the cap with much force at all, the cap indeed will be very difficult to remove. You might even need to wedge it off with a dinner knife or some such thing in order to remove it. If you do not push down on the cap with any significant force, the cap can be removed easily, but you do need to be conscious of that fact and be careful.

The ice insert broke the 2nd time I froze it. Can’t reach CS to purchase another.

I loved the pitcher and it worked great. However, the 2nd time I froze the ice insert it cracked and broke. I can’t reach Customer Service to purchase another.

just what I needed!

Used for Home brewed ice tea. Nice presentation at table. Like the insert on lid that can be frozen and keeps ice tea cool. Hard to find this particular style and clear plastic. Glass is to heavy to handle. Size is important so it fits in refrigerator.

Too bad; it's a good idea

I ordered one of these and the lid was wedged in so tightly that it could not be removed. The replacement arrived today, and again, the lid cannot be removed. Too bad; it's a good idea, but a very badly-made product.

Well made but…

The look is good. Idea is great. Quality is fine. But somethings not right with the design. First of all, I’ve read complaints about the cover being stuck - it is true, in my first attempt I spent too long trying to remove the cover, and if you want to use with the ice beaker you’ve got to make sure the cover stays snug so it doesn’t pop up during use and create a mess. I figured out a good fix for the tight cover issue though - there are 2 notches on the cover at one end opposite the spout. I tie a string through these holes and leave the strings out so that I can easily remove the cover with just one pull at the strings. My complaint isn’t about the cover. It is about the amount of tilt needed to pour a drink. One great thing about this jug is the pour is clean - there are minimum to no drips. But once your jug is past the halfway mark you gotta tilt it over 180degrees to pour your drink out. So you have to make sure you hold the cover with one hand in case it falls out, while taking care not to spill at that odd angle. Seems like an accident waiting to happen. So much so that I won’t trust leaving the jug out for guests to use, and that really defeats its purpose. That’s a shame ‘cos it’s otherwise very well made. Maybe the shape needs to be changed so that you don’t have to tilt so dramatically to pour a simple drink.
