First time ive called in a buck
I used this call once and 15 minutes later i called in a buck. I am impressed!! I got my buck and some meat to store in the freezer. Very thankful.

Bought for my 10 year old
Bought it for my ten year old son who is just getting into hunting he is learning to use a call. It has plenty of different adjustments and it has a good tone for all the different settings from mature buck to fawn . We just used it today and a doe came in about 15 minutes after he grunted . Would recommend and would buy again

Location and timing matter, but this thing really does work.
Very light, easy to use, wrap around neck over all gear, slip into a front pocket out of the way. Last day of the season this year, after using the call for a few days in different spots with no results, I was in a nice spot on a ridge overlooking a large and winding flat wooded streamy area. Let out a few calls and watched as 3 deer came running in and right on past me. Let out another and one turned around and came back. An hour later in the same general location I called in over 7 deer. Clearly it was a good spot, but I absolutely watched as the deer call caused a physical reaction - it brought all these deer into my zone from at least 200 yards to my left and out of site, repeatedly. Was an amazing day.

makes grunting noises
Not sure why "warmth" and "thickness" are a feature when rating this. I can understand thickness a little, meaning that it is not thin and flimsy therefor easily bent. But warmth? No, it is plastic and not warm, is it supposed to be? Yes it makes grunting noises. I recommend watching/listening to some buck grunting videos (there are a bunch) to mimic the sound. If you blow this too hard it sounds like a confused lovesick elk. But with careful gentle technique one can produce a slow low deer buck grunt. It is also good for annoying your dogs with. Happy hunting.

Good for a toy.
I purchased this call as a toy for my 19 month old daughter. She loves playing with my extinguisher but keeps taking it out of my hunting pack. So for $6-7 it's worth it to not be missing mine and she loves it. Sound is a little off by comparison to a much more expensive call but I believe it would work well with practice.

Stop a big buck chasing does at 200 yard and stop it with a call. Always keep it inside your jacket so it doesn't freeze on you Great product
