Exact Match

This window pivot lock shoe matched my existing 20+ year old window hardware exactly. There are MANY different pivot shoes out there so make sure you look at the pictures and dimensions closely, especially the thickness. I don't know the manufacturer of my windows so I could not use that info to try to order the right part.

Make sure you know the size of every component

It fit in the channel on the window frame, the only issue I had was the little peg on my window sash did not fit into the hole, which is something I didn’t think about when purchasing. I had to dremmel it out but it works and now our window does too.

Old windows like new

Replaced these on all the windows in my house, now they open and close smooth! Super happy!

This is an aftermarket replacement part, don't expect an exact fit.

The design was just like the original shoes in my windows, so these fit perfectly in the shoe channel. The only problem was that the locking mechanism was too small in diameter. This kept the shoes from locking properly to remove and re-install the operating sash. Fortunately, I was able to snap the locking mechanism out of my old shoes and replace the ones in these new shoes. They worked fine after the modification. I gave three stars because I wouldn't necessarily recommend these to someone else, but, if you know how to modify them, I wouldn't necessarily recommend against them either. Keep in mind that this is an aftermarket replacement part, so exact fit should not be expected.

Too tight for the balance.

The space that hooks into the spiral tilt balance is EXACTLY the same as the pegs on the balance. This means that shoe has to be tilted and snapped into place, which in turn increases the difficulty of installation. In addition, if you want to try and remove the shoe, it you will ultimately end up bending/damaging the balance. Big design flaw in my opinion. My solution, and it annoys me to have to do this, is to cut away a portion of the bottom of the she block in order to allow room for the post to fit with minimal effort. I would have rated it 1 star except that the shoe does seem to be very sturdy.

Lock Shoe Missing Center Pivot

I ordered two shoes but only one had the center piece to aligned the window. I took center piece of the old that was too big and sanded it down to fit the new one.
